I'm sorry, so sad. I know what you mean about this time of year. My grandmother's funeral was on Christmas Eve. Its been several years now but its always a bittersweet day because she means the world to me.
I will add your friend's family to my prayer list.
This time of year is very sad. I have a good friend at work who is losing her father right now. My auntie, who is also my godmother and like a second mom, is battling cancer as well.
Try to keep everything in perspective Nikole. At least that is what I am trying to do.
Death is hard any time of year, but harder at the holidays. My darling FIL died of lung/liver cancer on Dec. 17/91. Four days after Patrick's 3rd birthday. I told Jim he wanted to see Patrick on his birthday and didn't want to spoil our holidays. He was a wonderful man and I still miss him terribly. He was one of a kind.
I will say a prayer for the family of your friend, Nik. I hope they find some peace knowing that she is at peace.
Thanks guys! It was very nice to come home and read this. All of your prayers for her family are very much appreciated!
It's so very sad. They tried for years to have a child, they finally had one. Their daughter was their everything. AND she is a wonderful kid! Not spoiled, very kind, etc. They were such a close family. I can't imagine what the daughter and husband are going through.
