3 Years in the Making: Our return to WDW...with diapers! SAD NEWS 7/1 page 41

I don't think I have posted, but I've been reading along and am caught up again! :goodvibes

LOVE the pics of Seth getting his hair cut! What a cutie! Isn't that such a wonderful memory maker? :lovestruc

Such sweet pictures of Seth checking out how handsome he looks. Michael has a lot of experience there.

There aren't many better ways to start a day than with an official Magic Kingdom opening. :wizard:

Are you SURE all that liquid on the ground isn't your coffee? Haha, jk :)

The opening show at Magic Kingdom is definitely the best by far... how cool that Seth got to see it on his first trip! :cloud9:

I love the pictures of Seth checking himself out in the mirror. He's like, "Yeahhhh I know I look good!" Michael cut Jake's hair back in June... he was great!

Happy New Year Dawn! I know I saw your Christmas pics, but it must have been late at night so I didn't comment. Looks like you had a wonderful time :santa: It's fun to Seth enjoying his gifts and the family so much! Too bad Ray couldn't be there.

Another great MK day starting!:yay: Seth did so well - looks like such a little man with his haircut. I love that you got his first haircut in the World and ears and certificate and everything. How cool! He is absolutely adorable in the mirror video - what a little ham!

Joining this thread late...I've enjoyed reading about the adventures of a young couple with a little one! My husband and I are thinking of staring a family in the near future and while he says he wants to wait until the child is at least 5 before taking them to WDW, I know I'd like to go with an infant or young toddler!

Dawn, I have always enjoyed your reports where I have laughed out loud, learned some great tips, enjoyed great pictures, but this morning, for the first time, tears filled my eyes after reading this update!! What a precious son you have in Seth---the haircut pics and video are ever so cute!!! Great job Mom and Dad!!!:goodvibes

Awww, I love the picture of Seth looking at himself in the mirror with the Mickey ears, smiling from ear to ear! :lovestruc :goodvibes Sooo cute!

Great timing in the barber shop, too :thumbsup2

Love those pictures of Seth getting his haircut. It must have been so fun for you! I can't wait to take Abbie to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique someday...despite the small fortune it will cost me!

Hi Dawn!! :)

I know exactly what you mean about having that one day that really sticks out in your mind from your trip. Mine usually has to do with the MK too!

I love all those pictures from the MK opening show. That show gives me goosebumps every time, but to see our own little one watching it for the first time has to be exciting! :goodvibes

Aww! Seth was such a big boy getting his haircut! I love that picture of him smiling at himself in the mirror.

Michael has cut one of the girl's hair I just can't remember which one.

I love the Magic Kingdom in the fall!!!!

Oh my goodness! The pics of Seth looking at himself in the mirror are priceless. He is so pleased with himself. I love it!

I know the exact Disney day you are talking about Dawn. The one you think about at work, the one you really long for. :goodvibes

The photos of Seth having his hair cut are really wonderful. I'm so happy you had that experience for his first cut. He's a doll. :)

I'm also joining late. I have to say I have loved reading your TR's and I enjoyed reading about Seth's first DW trip last night! I will soon be in the same position. We were planning on making our way to the World this May (DF first trip!) however we had a nice little surprise at the beginning of dec. when I found out I was pregnant. So I think maybe next May would be a great time for our first son/daughter to visit. I am due in July and I think that would just be too entirely hot and busy. It's great to see that you can enjoy the World with a small child. There is no major catastrophes, just a change of plans. Can't wait to read more :surfweb:

I'm way late to the party but loved the trip report!! It kept me busy most of the afternoon at work (shhh) i adored the pics of the haircut! and may have shed a tear or 17!

Oh my gosh, Dawn...Seth is just darling! I LOVE the first haircut pics and video. He just knows he's so handsome when checking himself out in the mirror.......so cute! :goodvibes

I love that Seth was so taken with his reflection. He's giving himself that "Hey, good lookin'" smile that I'm sure lotsnlots of little princesses will be giving him in the future. :lovestruc How cute is the certificate!?! Perfect for framing!

We were cracking up at him b/c he was smiling like that at himself....so funny!

Cute video !! Love that he got his first haircut in MK.

Thanks! Good times. :)

The picture of Seth looking at himself in the mirror with his Mickey ears on is priceless.

He makes me laugh! :)

Great trip report so far! Seth is so cute. Your pictures are really great. Congrats on running the 5K. I would really like to try that sometime. Anna's picture of her jumping made me laugh too. Can't wait to read more. -AManda :)

Thanks so much!

The pictures of Seth wearing his ears and grinning at his reflection in the mirror are priceless! Everett would not let the lady come any where near his head with those ears, he just hates hats. Yes, that is making winter pretty fun around here! :headache:

Seth got some awesome toys, and I just had to laugh when I saw that Santa wrapped Seth's toys in the same Thomas wrapping paper that he wrapped all of Everett's gifts in! :rotfl2:

I don't think he liked the hat at first but after he saw himself in the mirror he was distracted. He didn't wear them for long after that! I lucked out on the wrapping paper Santa used. Santa came to visit us at my mom's house this year and she just so happened to have already gotten that paper, so Santa didn't have to worry about buying or bringing his own!

Oh my goodness that was the cutest video ever!! And the pictures along with it! What a good boy! :goodvibes We are also getting DS's first hair cut on our trip in a few weeks. He's got a mullet going on so I can't wait

Thanks! We enjoyed the experience. Seth is starting to get a mullet now but I just don't want to cut the back b/c it's kinda curly!

I actually think they share the kitchen with Sci-fi....so you prob can compare those burgers and they wouldn't be all that different.....except for the price tag :rotfl:

Good point. I've had a burger at Sci-Fi and it seemed to be a little better, but the burger at ABC wasn't bad, either. Maybe it was because my taste buds were enhanced at Sci-Fi by the adult shake I had there! :rotfl:

Yes we were COMPLETELY on the other side!

It's all good - we got to meet up later anyway! We fully intended on being there a little earlier but the boat was taking its sweet time that day.

We sing this every morning :thumbsup2

:goodvibes

That's not Alice!!! That's some other chick!
SEE!!!

:rotfl2: True!

OH MY WORD!!! Those pics are SO cute! I know I've seen them before, but toooooo cool!!! :cool2: But I must get one of these certificates!!!

We have got to plan another trip SOON! I need to get back there to get my baby's hair cut. He is going to be needing one soon!

Thanks. It was a cute little experience and we enjoyed it. As you know, we won't be back for awhile. But if I were you I'd definitely use the excuse that Will needs a haircut....a DISNEY haircut....in order to plan a trip soon!

The video and pictures of Seth's haircut are so sweet. The barber was all done and Seth was ready to go until he saw himself in the mirror.

I really like the picture Ray took of you ( when you weren't looking) at rope drop.

Looking forward to seeing Fantasyland again through Seth's eyes.

I know....so vain! :lmao: It was so funny that he did that.

I love our camera and I wish I had more time to learn more about it. Maybe in a couple years when I'm not constantly chasing Seth everywhere.

I don't think I have posted, but I've been reading along and am caught up again! :goodvibes

LOVE the pics of Seth getting his hair cut! What a cutie! Isn't that such a wonderful memory maker? :lovestruc

It was lots of fun. Definitely worth the time and what little money it costs. Kinda glad I have a boy where I can do something simple and fun like this but that doesn't break the bank like BBB!

Such sweet pictures of Seth checking out how handsome he looks. Michael has a lot of experience there.

There aren't many better ways to start a day than with an official Magic Kingdom opening. :wizard:

I knew I had seen him in a few of the youtube videos I looked at for first haircuts, so I was glad when I walked in and saw that he'd be doing it. I knew he knew what he was doing! :) And he was great with Seth. And I agree about starting your day....if only I could just go there when I wanted to see the opening show and then walk down Main Street, then I could return to work and have a great rest-of-the-day. But that's just not how it works, huh? :confused3

Well, I'm not 100% sure...it could very well be! :rotfl: Yeah, that's the only opening show we try to see at least once - we love it! Seth looking in the mirror was so funny...I totally wasn't expecting him to do that! :goodvibes

Happy New Year Dawn! I know I saw your Christmas pics, but it must have been late at night so I didn't comment. Looks like you had a wonderful time :santa: It's fun to Seth enjoying his gifts and the family so much! Too bad Ray couldn't be there.

You too! Yeah, we had a good Christmas other than Ray not being there. Hopefully that's the last year that will happen. We are planning on staying home for the next several years, at least until Santa stops coming. ;) I thought the first haircut experience was really cute! And it didn't take too long...maybe 10 minutes total. :thumbsup2

Joining this thread late...I've enjoyed reading about the adventures of a young couple with a little one! My husband and I are thinking of staring a family in the near future and while he says he wants to wait until the child is at least 5 before taking them to WDW, I know I'd like to go with an infant or young toddler!

Welcome! And thanks for posting. :) Ray doesn't want to go back until Seth is around 5, but it really wasn't that bad. I think that's just sort of how guys are....the easier the better! Of course it's more work with a little one, but I usually was fine with whatever we were doing. There were times I was tired or stressed but that's true in everyday life too! Might as well be tired and stressed at Disney World! ;)

Thanks so much! You're so sweet. :goodvibes It was a great memory to have.

Awww, I love the picture of Seth looking at himself in the mirror with the Mickey ears, smiling from ear to ear! :lovestruc :goodvibes Sooo cute!

Great timing in the barber shop, too :thumbsup2

We are still laughing him about him doing that....so funny! Yeah, I was happy about getting the first appointment of the day. I didn't want to have to stop what we were doing later and go back towards the front of the park. It worked out well! Oh, I've been meaning to tell you, there will be a video I'll post later that you will LOVE! So stick with me if at all possible. The video was taken on the last night of our trip, so it will be awhile before I get to it. But you will LOVE it! ;)

Love those pictures of Seth getting his haircut. It must have been so fun for you! I can't wait to take Abbie to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique someday...despite the small fortune it will cost me!

Well, as long as you don't do the huge package with the dress and everything, it's not that bad. And promise me you won't let her have the dead squirrel hair piece on her head. I love the little bun with the tiara....so cute! But the big crazy-looking hair piece just isn't cute to me. Just my opinion. And I'm sure sometimes parents want the more elegant hairstyle but the little girls insist on the dead squirrel. :lmao:

Hi Dawn!! :)

Aww! Seth was such a big boy getting his haircut! I love that picture of him smiling at himself in the mirror.

And he really did watch it, which was surprising. He's starting to watch things more now but back then his attention span wasn't very long, so a show wasn't really something he was into. But he liked that one! The first haircut experience was really fun!

Great update! Seth is so cute getting his haircut.

Thanks!

Michael has cut one of the girl's hair I just can't remember which one.

I love the Magic Kingdom in the fall!!!!

He was great! I had seen him in some youtube videos so I knew he had been there awhile. Very nice and great with Seth!

Oh my goodness! The pics of Seth looking at himself in the mirror are priceless. He is so pleased with himself. I love it!

Seths picture with the Mickey ears is so adorable! What a great start to a day!

He was so funny looking in that mirror!

The photos of Seth having his hair cut are really wonderful. I'm so happy you had that experience for his first cut. He's a doll. :)

Yep, the one I'm thinking about right now!!! :rotfl2:

Thanks. It was a really cute experience. I'm glad we did it!

Thanks so much! Yep, you just gotta go with the flow when it comes to the little ones. They don't understand ADR times or parade times, etc. So you just gotta function on their schedule and keep a smile on your face. Congrats, by the way! I was pregnant during the summer and I will tell you that sundresses will be your best friend come warmer weather! :goodvibes

I'm way late to the party but loved the trip report!! It kept me busy most of the afternoon at work (shhh) i adored the pics of the haircut! and may have shed a tear or 17!

Thank you! I didn't cry but I'm sure I'll look back on those pictures and video and shed a few myself!

Oh my gosh, Dawn...Seth is just darling! I LOVE the first haircut pics and video. He just knows he's so handsome when checking himself out in the mirror.......so cute! :goodvibes

Thanks! We were cracking up at him....crazy kid! :rotfl:
