I just found your trip report. I'm about half way through and wanted to stop by and say hi. :wave2:

Seth is absolutely adorable. It looks like he really enjoyed his first trip to see Mickey.

Thanks so much for reading! Welcome!

You are sooo good about taking pictures!! You will always remember those wonderful times. Seth is adorable! I love that you guys did facetime with Ray and that picture of him kissing him.
Happy New Year!

I love pictures. Believe it or not, Anna takes way more than I do. Ray always rolls his eyes at her for taking so many pictures.

It looks like yall had a wonderful Christmas with your family! :goodvibes Seth is too cute opening up his presents. I think my absolute favorite is the one of him sitting on his inch worm with his arms up... oh my gosh - that's ADORABLE!

So you like the MJ dance game? I have the Black Eyed Peas one for our Xbox and it's a blast! AND SO DANG TIRING!

We did...it was great! I love that picture too. It's my FB picture right now! I love the MJ game but we sold our Xbox so I only got to play it at my dad's. It was awesome!

Seth looks sooooo cute in his jeans and sweater vest!!!! love it! :goodvibes

Happy New Year to you and your family!

Thanks! You too!

Love the inchworm picture! Nothing like Christmas with little kids! It's a shame Ray couldn't be there in person, but the virtual kiss picture is adorable!

That's one of my favorites. And yes, I hope this is the only year we are not together at Christmas!

Love the Christmas pictures. So DARN cute! I miss having little ones at Christmas, it just makes it so much more special.

Have a safe and very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Thanks. We had a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the Christmases over the next few years. Kids make all the fuss worth it!

Yeah, my sister-in-law apologized for that drum set with musical instruments! He's too young to really annoy us yet. I'm sure that's coming!

All caught up! Looks like you had a nice night at DHS and on our trip I found that many times the standby lines were shorter than what the wait time said - it's nice surprise!

Yeah, more often than not, lines are going to be shorter than the wait time posted. Every now and then, though, you get the line that's longer than the wait time. That's no fun!

All caught up.

Looks like you had an amazing Christmas.

I am back home and braving the cold weather that greeted me. :cold:

It was a lot of fun. Hope you had a great one, too. I'm sure you didn't want to come home to the cold!!!

Hey, guys! Okay, now that holiday pictures and updates are out of the way, on to the TR.

We are up to Tuesday, October 4th. Today was a big day - our full MK day, Seth's first haircut, breakfast with Erica and her family. And Seth actually turned 13 months old on this day. A lot for a little boy to take in!

Do you know how you have that one day at Disney World that just sticks out in your mind, the best one of the trip, the one you wish you could repeat when you're sitting at your desk at work on a boring Tuesday? Well, this was that day! The fact that we were at MK all day probably had a lot to do with that!

This was the only rope drop we had planned to make of the entire trip (we're not early birds). We love rope drop at MK, going to Fantasyland first thing. Our plans this day weren't exactly that but they were close!

We got up and got ready, I fed Seth some yogurt to tide him over until our 10:30 breakfast at Crystal Palace and we were off!

Waiting for an MK boat at the dock on a beautiful morning!

As we were going through the turnstiles at MK, I was steering the stroller and I hit some sort of bump. I had a cup of coffee in the cupholder and it spilled everywhere. I said a not-so-Disney word pretty loudly and immediately looked at the CM standing there and said, "Sorry." She immediately laughed and said, "No worries....happens all the time."

After we wiped the stroller down from my spilled coffee, we staked out a spot for the rope drop show. I got Seth out of his stroller so he could see better. I think Erica and I texted at that point and she was on the left side - we were on the right. Figures! :upsidedow

Waiting for the show to begin. And no, the water on the ground is not all from my coffee spill! :rotfl2:

Ray walked a few feet away from us so he could get some good shots with the camera. After I got Seth out of his stroller I turned around to see this standing in front of me.

Really? Why do the tall ones insist on standing in front of the 5'4" girl and then put a kid on their shoulders? Obnoxious.

Ray got lots of pictures of the rope drop show. These are only a few....

Good mornin'......good mornin'!

We followed the herd under the train station and stopped on the square to get situated.

Love MK in the fall!

Our first stop was Harmony Barber Shop. We had a 9:00am appointment there for Seth's first haircut. He didn't really need a cut....just needed the wispies that come over his ears trimmed up. It was more about the experience than anything else!

We walked into the shop and they checked off our name and told me to put Seth up on the booster chair. Michael, the barber, proceeded to put 634 Mickey stickers on the front of Seth's shirt. :lmao: I think the purpose of this is so the little ones will be preoccupied with the stickers and won't move while they cut their hair. It worked, for the most part! Seth only wiggled a couple of times. Of course, his haircut took all of 2 minutes b/c there wasn't much to cut. But Michael was wonderful with him....very warm and friendly and patient. And he kept all my baby's hair for me as a keepsake. Here are some pictures....

When he showed Seth his reflection with the Mickey ears on, Seth was amazed....he smiled really big and was so full of himself! It was so funny. What a cheeseball! :rotfl2:

The ears were really cute. They said "First Haircut" on the back and they were free with the cut. I took a picture of them with his "real" Mickey ears later that I'll show you.

Here's the certificate he got....

DSC08614.jpg

And here's the video. Watch until the end so you can see him smiling like a big dork at himself in the mirror. Oh, and please excuse the camera work. I was trying to film and keep him on that chair at the same time!

We were outta there in 10 minutes. And considering MK actually opens a few minutes early, that means it was only like 9:05 when we left the barber shop. :thumbsup2 To Fantasyland we go!!! (Which will be in the next update....popcorn::)

I love that Seth was so taken with his reflection. He's giving himself that "Hey, good lookin'" smile that I'm sure lotsnlots of little princesses will be giving him in the future. :lovestruc How cute is the certificate!?! Perfect for framing!

The picture of Seth looking at himself in the mirror with his Mickey ears on is priceless.

Great trip report so far! Seth is so cute. Your pictures are really great. Congrats on running the 5K. I would really like to try that sometime. Anna's picture of her jumping made me laugh too. Can't wait to read more. -AManda :)

The pictures of Seth wearing his ears and grinning at his reflection in the mirror are priceless! Everett would not let the lady come any where near his head with those ears, he just hates hats. Yes, that is making winter pretty fun around here! :headache:

Seth got some awesome toys, and I just had to laugh when I saw that Santa wrapped Seth's toys in the same Thomas wrapping paper that he wrapped all of Everett's gifts in! :rotfl2:

Oh my goodness that was the cutest video ever!! And the pictures along with it! What a good boy! :goodvibes We are also getting DS's first hair cut on our trip in a few weeks. He's got a mullet going on so I can't wait

I actually was pleasantly surprised! This was a decent burger and the shrimp was really good! Just goes to show you…don’t believe everything you read.

I actually think they share the kitchen with Sci-fi....so you prob can compare those burgers and they wouldn't be all that different.....except for the price tag :rotfl:

Erica and I realized later that we forgot to get a picture together....I told her we don't matter now!

So true.....so true :sad2:

Yes we were COMPLETELY on the other side!

Good mornin'......good mornin'!

DSC08267.jpg

We sing this every morning :thumbsup2

Hi, Alice. Long time, no see. Did you miss me?

DSC08278.jpg

That's not Alice!!! That's some other chick!
SEE!!!

Here's the certificate he got....

DSC08614.jpg

OH MY WORD!!! Those pics are SO cute! I know I've seen them before, but toooooo cool!!! :cool2: But I must get one of these certificates!!!

We have got to plan another trip SOON! I need to get back there to get my baby's hair cut. He is going to be needing one soon!

The video and pictures of Seth's haircut are so sweet. The barber was all done and Seth was ready to go until he saw himself in the mirror.

I really like the picture Ray took of you ( when you weren't looking) at rope drop.

Looking forward to seeing Fantasyland again through Seth's eyes.
