You mean one of those up and down jobs with the washer on the bottom, and the dryer on top?

We had one of those about ten years ago, and it was a GE.

I had a little dryer and it was a Hoover. Did a great job. Bought it before I got married and continued to use it with two kids. Everyone thought I was nuts, but it worked great- although small.

I had one, I think it was a GE. It worked very well. We bought it in 1975 and sold it for $40 at a garage sale in 1988. It still worked great

My apartment comes equipped with an apartment sized Kenmore washer/dryer. It works just fine. The only problem is that sometimes it takes a long time to do laundry. I am always amazed at the size of my mother's full size washer and dryer whenever I visit her!
