From DCL & Chase Visa:

Book a cruise on the Disney Wish on select dates and receive $250 onboard credit.
Cardmembers can also save up to 30% on select stateroom categories on select sailings with Disney Cruise Line offers

Booking now through September 1, 2025.
Valid on select July through September sailings.
Previously only offered on mid- late August sailings and now valid for July? How bad are the bookings for the Wish that DCL needs this to fill ships in the summer?

I suddenly understand why they are late releasing dates for fall 2026- they are still working on trying to fill their ships right now.

I wonder if it was just a colossally bad idea to put the Magic in PC with the Wish this summer and have the Magic run better itineraries. Just based on a spot check with my travel party preloaded, comparing a 5 night oceanview on the magic to a 4 night oceanview on the wish and the magic is only about 900 dollars more.

But the 4 night itineraries (Wish to CC, Magic to LC) the magic is a little cheaper comparing the verandah rates....but 500-1000 dollars cheaper for oceanview depending on the dates....If all I care about is pricing, I'm booking the Magic.

We are on the 10 night on the Magic next month. We wanted to add one more cruise - either before or after the 10 night. We had the option of a 5 night on the Magic before or a 4 night on the wish after. We paid more to sail the Magic - the per night cost was less on the wish. After sailing the Treasure, we have zero interest in the wish.

Things must be dire at DCL if they are having trouble filling the Wish for summer sailings just a few weeks out.

The newness of the Wish has worn off and people aren’t rushing it to book because of the ship.

If you are cruising out of Florida you have several options to choose from - the design/layout and itineraries don’t encourage to book this ship out of the others.

I was comparing the other itineraries of the FL based DCL ships and the Wish is the only one running the standard 3/4 night Nassau/Castaway Cay itineraries. The Magic has some 5 nights that go to both islands, 4 nights at LC. The dream does a mix of 5 night western caribbean and 4 night Nassau-LC. Then the Treasure is doing the 7 nighters.

Maybe they've just hit a Bahamas over-saturation point....I LIKE the Wish, but if the magic is parked right next door (metaphorically speaking) and is running an itinerary I've never done, on a ship I've never sailed....I'm booking the Magic.

I booked the 3 night Wish leaving Aug 1. It’s just going to CC when it first dropped $250 OBC. I am also doing WDW afterwards. Doing this sailing will put me at Gold for my Oct Treasure cruise.

I find it interesting that Treasure summer prices are still super high so they must be selling but the shorter Wish ones aren’t

I have a feeling the Wish and its general high priced initial publishings is going to have to change. Wish, Fantasy and Treasure in PC and the Destiny and Dream ( at least part of the year for the Dream ) is going to make it hard to garner the high prices Disney has been able to get in the past for the Wish. Also the Wish may have to change from just 3 and 4 night over and over as you can only attract so many people with that concept

I know the Magic is there now but that’s because the Fantasy is in Europe.
Lastly Royal Caribbean recently launched the giant Utopia of the Seas in PC and I bet that is taking some of the possible Wish passengers away as well

Disney Cruise Line has had its two newest ships mostly doing 3/4 night and 7 night Eastern/Western cruises out of Port Canaveral for as long as there have been 2 ships: first the Wonder/Magic, then the Dream/Fantasy, now the Wish/Treasure. The Destiny will break the pattern by sailing from Fort Lauderdale, but I do not anticipate DCL getting rid of 3 and 4 night cruises that pair neatly with Walt Disney World vacations.

Definitely not. It’s their bread and butter money maker.

I do think we will see the Wish move out of PC when the 4th Wish Class sets sail. It will likely take the Wish spot and Wish move to a different port.

I think it will heavily depend on what theme they go for with the new ship. The wish really ties in well to a WDW trip. The destiny not so much. They would need something more along the lines of the wish or treasure if it’s going to be out of PC.

Maybe something that’s focused on togetherness like families being together and friends being together with lots of different character? Have Encanto as either the stage show or the dining show… I just think if they go for a heavy theme like Star Wars (like they did with Marvel on the Destiny) it will not do as well as the treasure is doing

After sailing the Treasure this summer, I have zero desire to sail any Wish class ships for the foreseeable future.

I am really hoping that the next class of ships after they are done making all of the Wish class ships go back to their older style ships. Give me beautiful new finishes and theming in large venues with a full promenade and a decent adult space.

We thought the same thing. As did numerous other regular DCL cruisers on our treasure cruise last month that we chatted with. Everyone always said how much they loved the fantasy - our favorite ship!
