:)

God, I wish we lived in driving difference, and I would sell you mine for cheap. It is WAY soft, so much so that I need more back support.

Know that what you find at Walmart and similar stores is NOT worth buying. Not true quality memory foam.

I ordered mine thru a great website, it is something like comfort for sale dot com....

It is 2" top of the line 'cool' memory foam. (their web site even says that most people do not need more than 2", and it is buying more than you should.... they are right)
We paid a lot for it!!!

Somebody who wants a SOFT bed, and who doesn't mind losing some back support might love it!

PS: If your bed is old and saggy/springy.... a topper will not help... find a way to go ahead and get a good mattress..... We order from us mattress dot com.

Also highly recommended, as is comfort for sale.

Just ordered a new mattress from them for my son.....
He jumped on the bed and wreaked havoc on the old thing he had!!!!

Hope this helps.

You're supposed to air it out for a fews days after you open it up. Plus, it needs to expand to full size.

Memory foam comes in different densities. You probably got a 4.5 lb density or a 5 lb. The Tempurpedic are 5 lbs. and way too hard for most people. Try this one over at overstock.com. It's a Serta and it is a 3 lb. density foam. Shipping is only $2.99 or free for new customers!

I got the Serta Ultimate at 4 lbs. from there and it is still too soft for me. :headache: I'd drive over too to swap out mine.

Actually you need about 2-3 days to air out. Also, they do soften up a bit over time. On all the forums I've read, people recommend putting a mattress cover on top to stop the heat. I actually have a quilted pad on top of mine. From the research I've done, you can't wash memory foam. The cells actually absorb and retain water. Since I have a cat, I wanted a thick pad to go on top, so the topper wouldn't end up smelling like pet odors.

Try walking on it in bare feet to break up the foam a bit. :yay: And/or put a feather bed on top of the memory foam topper. Those are very soft and usually do not provide the back support needed. You already bought the topper, so a feather bed might add that extra fluff & softness you want on top. It would also solve the heat problem.

Mine did not smell to high heaven....

Of course, it was not completely odorless... But, NOT a problem...
And I am very sensitive to this kind of thing!

Again, common knowledge... Anything from stores like Walmart is not a good quality memory foam.

By design, memory foam sinks in, and many people, such as myself, end up feeling like we are sleeping in a hole if it is not high enough density.

The price tag that was on it doesn't really matter...
You spent that much for a 4" topper.... My top of the line 2" (which 'gives' too much for me....) was a lot more than that!

NOTE: mine is also the newest 'cool' memory foam. No problem with heat at all. (another thing that I am sensitive too, so I can attest)

Like I, and the above poster, just said... Sure wish we lived in driving distance!

I will see if I can find the link to this one I bought, and post it here for you. It is top of the line from the premier foam manufacturer in the US.

Okay, here it is!!!

DH just bought one. It is not memory foam though. I will have to get back with you on that one.
