For the Thanksgiving holiday?

DGD has no school Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.. I don't ever recall getting the day before Thanksgiving off from school - do you?

My foster child is get Wenesday, Thursday, Friday.

The school system gets off Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Private School work at Thursday and Friday.

My get to come home early Wednesday if we don't get many kids Wednesday so they may send me home.

I've heard that it's the busiest travel day of the year, so that makes sense; it gives families time to travel. My school used to have a half day on Wednesday, and then dropped the day altogether.

Monday is more for hunting then Thanksgiving

Total? 9 days.

I don't know what I'm going to do with him all day every day. Yesterday we did a few cut-n-paste activities and today he helped me do laundry, played on the computer, watched TV, wrote in the journal I made for him to work in here at the house when he's not in school and went to the park.

Monday and Tuesday are parent/teacher conferences. Wednesday and Friday are part of the Thanksgiving holiday. I, of course, do NOT have off. Hence the drop in daycare at $72 a day.

Ouch!!!

I can't believe the number of kids who have so many days off from school - yet often times I have seen where the kids have school on Christmas Eve Day - which to me would seem like a better day to have off..

I'm in medical school, we're off Wed-Fri. My mom teaches and they are only off Thurs and Fri. I've always gotten Wed. off in college, but from K-12, it was always only Thurs and Fri.

Parts of Ohio also get Monday after off, for hunting.

Here in Maryland. My 4th grader gets off tomorrow (Mon), then Th, and Fri.-Ridiculous! And quite a PITA, since my 7th grader only gets Th. and Fri.
