What do you do as an Ambassador? I love the clothes!

Basically just try to get the word out! They're a small company near Disneyland so this is their main way to advertise.

I'm supposed to post on social media, take pictures in the clothes, etc. In exchange I get a discount and they sometimes use my picture in newsletters and things like that. It's pretty cool!

Has anyone booked their room yet for 2017 race weekend? I was going to call and get pricing but the wait lines are so long cause of everyone trying to book for free dining. If you did book for race weekend at one of the values whats the current price per night?

It will be a few months before you can book online. The price will seem ridiculously high, because it is rack rate. Hopefully, discounts will come out in the fall. They always have for me. You can't always get the hotel you want on discount though.

We have DVC so I forget such things.

But if it isn't available online doesn't that mean the phone reps won't have the proper info either? I'm now remembering something about booking at some huge rack rate, then changing it later?

That is exactly what happens. You pay one night's stay, which is at rack rate.

I booked, but I am DVC. Booked home resort at 11 months and will see if I want to switch at 7 months.

That's what I thought I would do last year, but ultimately just kept home resort. And that's what I have booked for 2017, too. My cousin and I are starting a tradition.

Hi everyone! I'm back with more questions

We currently have DVC gold Annual Passes and are trying to decide whether to renew or just get regular park tickets for our May 2017 trip and have Princess be a non-park trip. So that got me thinking about a few things:

1- How are the race pictures? Are there photographers with characters? Do you get multiple pictures throughout the course, or just at the finish line with the new Photopass integration?

2- If I'm friends with someone on MDE and they have photopass, would they get my race pictures? My in-laws have APs with the photopass now, so if I could get the pictures that way it would be less appealing to renew our pass, depending on the length of our May trip.

3- Do spectators for the race need park tickets? We are thinking of having this be a non-park trip if we don't renew, but if I wanted my husband to be able to be at the finish line and take a few pictures, would he need a ticket? (I also am not exactly sure where the course ends).

Finish line is OUTSIDE of Epcot. He can see you on MSUSA in Magic Kingdom (he'd have to get up pretty early) and again at the finish line without a ticket.

I wanted to chime in that the photos are AWESOME. I have done so many races with MarathonFoto -- I thought I just ran ugly and would never get any. After Tinkerbell, I had more than 50 photos to choose from and they all looked great! Lots of photographers on the course and they took lots and lots of photos of me and my husband. They're easy to spot and you can just run past them.

Thanks so much for the reply! Really glad the race pictures were good - I had seen that the photopass integration was relatively new, so I wasn't really sure how that had gone for the races they'd had it so far.

The friends and family worked for us in January the opposite way - my in-laws were at MK riding the Mine Train and I could see their pictures even though we were still in Georgia. I just didn't know if they would have something specific for the race photos that would make it not work the same way (or if it's a loophole they are eventually going to close).

And yay on the finish line - obviously if we renew it won't matter, but the fact that it could be an issue just suddenly occurred to me He definitely won't be getting up early enough for Magic Kingdom

Awesome! I don't think I look great when I run, but since this will be my first Disney race, I kind of want some pictures! Glad to know there are so many options
