How accurate do we think the proposed dates are for FD? For November, I think we've seen 11/11 and 11/15. Any idea which one is more likely, or could they both be wrong? Ideally I'd love it to start 11/06!

Please do tell more. Last year I booked free dining but then when airfare prices dropped it was WAY cheaper to fly to book an extra day on each end of the trip. There was availability for the end of the trip but not the beginning so we had to do a split stay. No big deal it worked out fine but to resolve that issue this year I was just going to stick an extra day on the end of the trip and then decrease the trip if needed. We fly Southwest and their Nov date rates won't be available until June. Def don't want to mess up FD if we can get it. Please advise if I shouldn't add the extra day.

Well, this is second hand as I didn't do this myself. Just from reading the reports last year. Some had padded their reservations with say an extra day in front and behind until they were sure of their travel dates. Then they would subtract or add later etc. Disney ended up making them basically rebook the FD trip instead of just adjusting, so if your new dates were not available for the "new" reservation then it couldn't be booked. Even if say you already had 10 days and we're just reducing to 8 within the range you already had. It messed some people up. You're safer to do the dates you are for sure going. You might not be able to change later and keep FD based on availability.

They know how many empty rooms there are for a particular date by room type. If they have a small number of open rooms, why would they discount them?

Cause they know most rooms are only booked with deposit. Probably small percent fully paid.

My TA told me the same thing and she thinks that means it'll drop tomorrow (but couldn't guess if it would be visa holders first of not). She said usually the day before a big change their site acts up...

I really hope so!

Good to know! My Husband is my only family (no kids), but he's pretty happy and supportive with my FD craze at the moment.

So, what I was reading is that some people think the offer for DV will release at midnight or tomorrow? TA's have had sites down all day so they are speculating FD release tomorrow? I could be very wrong, but if the TA says sites are down wouldn't that mean it would go to straight GP? Can TA's get first dibbs on FD like DVC holders can? I'm trying to understand all of this....Last year it went straight to GP so I didn't have all these questions....

I suggest calling them right at 7 am when their phone lines open. Emails do go out but I read lots of people do not get them until well into the afternoon and some do not get them at all.

11/6 would be great. Im booked on the 8th and my airfare cant be changed without a fee

Nobody really knows. It could be DV for tomorrow. It could be everyone. Or it could be Monday. Nothing is really new. We're all just speculating.
