I got the email but didn't read it entirely. Are there any changes (reductions) to the summer discounts offered this year? or are they pretty much the same as have been released in recent years? I'm interested bc I have a feeling Disney would start slowly "tinkering with" (making modest reductions or increasing requirements) promos before they would go to the extreme of DROPPING their most popular one entirely (ie: doing away with FD suddenly and completely) Maybe I just want to remain hopeful.......
I think the discounts are pretty standard. You do get a graphic magicband if you book a package.

A few questions.. is POR offered in the free dining?
If we want the free dining, can we book 2 day tickets or do we have to add an extra option like water parks and more?
If we book 4 day tickets is that enough?
If we book POR now with a package can we easily add free dining when it's offered?

Thanks!

Quick question, were planning on arriving around the 22nd Aug, therefore if the free DDP offer commences from the 26 Aug or thereabouts would i need to make two separate bookings and sets of tickets. Alternatively we may go in October for Halloween I saw on 2015's offer blackout dates listed are these for date of arrival purposes only?

thanks
steven

If FD is offered, POR may or may not be included. It was included in the bounceback offer, but there have been restrictions on the dates offered for FD in the past. You would need a minimum of two day tickets, with either hopper or Waterpark added on.

If you are going regardless of free dining, I would book now. If you are planning to cancel if free dining doesn't come out, I would wait. If Disney already has lots of rooms booked, there is no incentive for them to offer free dining. So you can add free dining to your existing package if there is availability. But availability of rooms included in this promotion seem more and more limited each time.

If FD does come out starting on the 26th, you would book your tickets as a package for your second reservation that begins on the 26th, and book a room only reservation for the first four days. You can access your tickets for your first reservation on the 22nd by visiting guest services, because you don't want to be buying tickets for each reservation. That will cost you a fortune.

For an October trip, if you check in on the last day FD is offered, you can get FD for up to two weeks. Is that what you mean?

Thanks thats a big help regarding the tickets covering the full period, also regarding October i was worried about the blackout dates in 2015 as they clashed with dates we would like to be holidaying, ideally arrive 22/10/16 until 5/11/16 but on last years offer some of the days had been marked as blackout days and not sure if they meant you could arrive on those days or not.

so in everyone's opinion - is FD for the general public going to be for after September - thru November? and release date still early May or do the boards think April release date ?

I have no idea if it will even be offered this year. If it is offered, I predict there will be even more resort and date restrictions then in the past. Last year it was announced late April.

Well, I'm watching and waiting as well. Decided to go down weekend before labor day for a few days for a football game, and its been several years since fd for us. I'd love to be able to get it. Does anyone remember if in the last few years labor day was a blackout date?

Following!
We already have a free dining bounce back booked for sept 14-22 (yay!), but we are interested to see if they offer free dining in November this year. We love wdw at Christmas time, especially MVMCP! We are open to switching our dates to November if possible. We booked the bounce back in case they didn't offer free dining this year.

Oh my goodness, we are in nearly the exact same boat! We have a free dining bounce back for Sept but are interested in switching to November if free dining is offered again! And also because we're interested in MVMCP! Although, unlike you, we've only been there once (last September) so we have no idea what we'll enjoy the most. :)

anyone think that some of the nov dates will be moved around since jersey week has moved?

I was wondering about this as well. I know Jersey week was excluded last year, does anyone know if it was excluded other years?

How is that possible? (I may be in the same situation and I was thinking I was just going to luck out on the free dining cause I couldn't buy tickets for each reservation)

Thanks!
