Random question but for the bounceback offer do you have to pay the package in full when you get the offer on your current stay?? Or is it like online booking and put $200 down and make payments....? I was just curious as to how that worked.

You just pay the $200 deposit like normal. Full payment due at 30 days out, like usual.

I thought full payment was due 45 days out for a package?

I know answers to these questions may be somewhere on this thread, but after reading for more than 15 minutes, I thought I'd ask again, and thanks in advance for your patience.
1. If it is offered in late August, say August 28, and you are booked 8/26 - 8/31, do you have to pay for the first 2 days?
2. Are bouncebacks offered through the resort, or do you have to ask? I am scheduled offsite for September but we will be staying onsite in May so I was wondering if there was a chance of a bounceback offer and how it worked/when it was offered.

1. You would have to book a separate reservation for the first two days.
2. Bouncebacks are offered to people who are currently at a WDW resort. If you can't find any info. in your room (it's usually in the centre of the booklet), dial 8844 from the phone in your room to ask what the current offer is or ask if there is a bb available for the dates you are interested in. Once you check out, you cannot book it.

Your check-in date is the one that counts, so if it is not offered on the day you check in, you don't get it. As PP said, you could do a room only for the first two days, and start your package with free dining and tickets on the date it starts. You wouldn't have any dining credits until the 2nd check-in, but you can access the tickets tied to your free dining package early. However, you won't be able to make FP+ picks for those first two days either.

Yes last year, we were hearing rumors of the day it was going to be. So when it came time, that rumored day I got up and logged on first thing around 5am and it was up. I booked online no problems and I'm glad I did as availability was horrible by the time people were calling when the phones opened. I have a BounceBack this year with FD, so I'm not in the craziness this year. This is the first time I'm not had to worry and fight to get it. We do not normally do back to back years, so I had never been able to use the BounceBack. But I'm still watching how it all goes down this year and at least giving moral support to you all! pixiedust:

I'm hanging around to cheer you all on too. Like prettypatchesmu, I have a Free Dining BounceBack, booked for September.

There was a group of us who actually though that Free Dining would drop at Midnight so we stayed up. I waited until about 1am, then went to bed. Was up at my normal of 5am, and finally added the Free Dining to my already-booked Vacation!

Fingers & Toes crossed for all of you!

Joining in for the wait! Going during the week before Thanksgiving with our group of 12. We have booked because we will go without free dining,
BUT what a difference free dining would make!! My question is that people have mentioned logging on and going to the "Modify" button. When I bring up my reservation, I have two options--change reservation and cancel reservation. Is the "change reservation" what is referred to as Modify or am I looking in the wrong place? Want to be ready when and if the time comes to add free dining and switch resorts if necessary to qualify.

Thanks!!
Sal

Coming in for the wait as well, have booked my family trip Oct 29-Nov 12, hoping for free dining.
:santa:This will be most of my families first Christmas in Disney:cloud9:Can't wait woot woot

I am confused-again! When the free dining plan is offered-where does everyone say they saw it? On this thread or on Disboards? If so where on Disboards? And we can update our own reservation online? So it will allow us to 'modify' once the FDP is announced? I know we can cancel and add but not sure about how to do otherwise. I just don't want to miss out as we are going for our 30th anniversary and my granddaughter will be celebrating her 8th birthday as well.

Any and all help is much appreciated!!! Too many questions and not enough coffee! :listen: :coffee:

Usually rumours start to really swirl a week or two before the announcement. Generally everyone is expecting a new offer for the end of summer around the end of April. Nobody knows for sure if it will be free dining. There are already a few free dining threads on the dis, or more might start to pop up. Sometimes somebody with insider information posts, but sometimes they don't. It's all speculation until it happens. So no one can say with any certainty where to look here.

I usually get an email from one of the many Disney websites I subscribe to mid-afternoon, the day a new discount is released anyways. But it's always nice to get a jump on things first thing in the morning if a FD offer comes out. One thing you can do now, is go on the Disney website under special offers and familiarize yourself with the current offers. Keep checking first thing in the morning because when FD is offered, it will come up as a special offer, and I'm pretty sure it will pop up as soon as it goes live, because I know I've booked online in the past first thing, and it showed up right away on the Disney website.

We are lucky enough to be able to choose our check-in date as either 10/28, 11/4, or 11/11 (staying 7 nights). Priority #1 is free dining (I know it's still up in the air if/when it will be offered); priority #2 would be lower crowds; priority #3 would be Christmas Party/decorations. Based on years past, it appears they block out FD during Jersey week, starting the Sunday before the convention, and running through the Saturday after the convention. Since the convention/week is later this year, am I correct in thinking FD will likely be blocked out Sunday 11/6-Saturday 11/12? Which week would you choose in this scenario?

I think your best bet for FD would be 10/28. But I'm hoping you are correct about the 11/6-11/12 blackout, since I check in on 11/4!! I think it's anyone's guess at this point.
