2015 Calendar of Events & School Breaks and DLR

Thanks for posting this! We will be there August 9-14. When do local kids go back to school? And will that affect crowd levels?

Most AZ schools go back right around then. We started 8/6 this year I think. Basically Everyone was back in by 8/13.

I looked up LAUSD, but I couldn't find the 2015-2016 calendar. They went back to school on August 12, 2014. Southern California has a lot of school districts, but I'm not sure how all of their schedules line up.

I know we're not a neighboring state (Hawaii) but our fall break is typically the first full week of October and I know at least 5 families that went to DL that week. Which means there were probably a ton more from Hawaii that also went

It's not an official Fisney event, but Jan 23 is Homeschool day where a group called Disneyschooling invites homeschoolers across California to join them at Disneyland.

Does most of Hawaii have the same school breaks or does it vary by district? For example, it sounds like most/much of Utah is on break during that UEA conference, but in Northern CA, the breaks are spread out over a few week period.

I honestly don't know; they didn't have the conference in Anaheim last year, so it's hard to say what kind of impact they'll have on DLR this year.

I glanced at random Nevada school district calendars and it looks like most school NV districts are out somewhere in the last week of March/first full week in April period. I added it to the calendar.

The JR Spirit Cheer National competition will be at the Hyperion Theater in DCA again this year (February 28 - March 1). So it's seems likely that Aladdin won't be performed those days.

ASU's Spring Break is March 9-13. I assume U of A has the same dates, but I can't say for sure. I doubt that these will make a huge impact on the crowds, but it's probably still good to know.

It might get added into another sticky thread, but it probably won't become its own sticky. There are lots of threads that have been sticky-worthy over the years, but we have to be conservative with them and we only stick threads very rarely. Also, when threads become sticky threads, they almost become less visible because people are not paying attention to what's at the top of the page a lot of the time.

Capo USD and Saddleback USD (South OC) Spring Breaks are both 4/6 - 4/10 and the last day of school for Capo USD is 6/19 & Saddleback USD is 6/23.
