I got a pretty good AP rate on an outer building theme park view room for 6/5-6/9, 2019!!! 50th birthday just happens to be on June 6th! We are usually fall travelers so any information on that time frame would be great. Is is best to request a higher floor with those rooms? There will be 5 of us. Me, dw, 2 adult dds, and our 6 year old grandson. His first time there. The first day is a travel day, so I am thinking about that being a pool day and Chef Mickey's for dinner.

I agree with wishes. The deluxe has extra space and a 2nd tv. One for kiddo and one for adults. They all face the interior/courtyard or marina . The TPV at gf just isn't as good as poly or CR. I'd pick space over view with 5 people. Unless of course it is your hearts desire to do so.

There are lots of places to see the castle from the grounds etc so you will feel part of the action. The dock and gaspies has great views of Ewp and HEA with music piped there.

Also the lobbies for each building have doors facing the water so you could watch from your building too. I have walked to BC to watch Ewp because it has a great view.

June just be sure to watch the weather . Storms come quick. I couldn't live without my live weather map. If you want to swim make sure not to come back from a park to have the pool close due to thunder. I hate when that happens

I just checked a February resort activity calendar and didn't see it in there. I would ask in the lobby if offered, days and times.

Also the parisol parade was always nice to catch . Ask for that too so maybe you can catch them both.

I saw the activity calendar, too. On a blog I read that it's considered a "magical moment" so it's not placed on the schedule. The most recent confirmation of the activity was from last spring in Disney Parks Mom answer. I can't seem to find more recent confirmation.

What month are you going?

I'll be at bc in 2 weeks with dd and I will stop at GFto shop at Summer Lace. I'll be at gf in May too. I will try to remember to ask.

I double checked and there are not deluxe rooms showing availability. Interestingly enough, the GF had the best rates of all the monorail resorts for that time. The theme park view was only $10 more than a lagoon view and the rooms at the Poly and Contemporary were about $225-$255 more per night. Although the Contemporary was a standard Atrium Club room!

We stayed in Big Pine Key and loved the location. Best for being close to the pools and quick walk to Gasparilla Grill. We could not see fireworks from BPK.

We were there the second weekend of January and they did have it going on. We happened to be heading toward the monorail when it started.

Hey there....we love both pools, there are kids in both pools but the waterfall pool definitely has a little bit more. The kids never both us even with we're without our kids, but we did just find out after years of visiting the GF that you can enjoy a drink in the courtyard pool. With that being said that has definitely become our favorite pool recently. I do miss the cabana but there's nothing like having a drink while relaxing in the pool for us.

I have a question for all my GF pals..... I need to change my late September early October trip for a week later but there is no availability for my room category. Is there any tricks for checking or does Touring Plans offer something I am unaware of?

I look everyday, sometimes more than once. It's a pain but I'm more successful than not. If not cl the LD people may have availability. Also I have noticed undercovertourist does too.

What is the best pool for one adult to just be able to relax.

I prefer the courtyard pool for that, I have gone out by myself often. Actually my family rarely go INTO the pool so I'm there by myself so to speak.

I like it because it's not crowded.

You can have your adult beverage while in the water.

There is lots of shallow areas to just plop in the water and relax.

On hot days it deep enough to go to my neck.

However if you want to be able to see 7 seas lagoon the beach pool is better for that.

Oh and the courtyard pool is where the hot tub is!
