grannyminnie I don't know..sounds like your DH might be a convert after all! .... DL sounds just wonderful...my BFF..and frequent travel buddy was there recently and felt the same as you..she absolutely loved it...and thinks that we should make a trip there in 2016....and since she kinda sorta twisted my arm...lol.. ....I do believe that we will be planning that... So happy to hear that you were enjoying the DL time so much that you got to add another day.....the only thing better than Disney time...is MORE Disney time... ..Happy planning for your next trip! Still lots of the white stuff here...let me say how sick I am of winter... ....lol...

So, I have been busy with a kitchen remodel. Dd is away at college and left her gf and WL club level chocolates UNATTENDED in her room. I got a hankering and might have eaten a few. (Thinking of you, Sue M) did anyone ever notice on the back it says astorchocolates.com ??? I checked it out. No disney, but fun holiday and anniversary items etc.

The DH and I are so excited!! Thanks to renting DVC points, we are able to stay at the Villas at the GF on our upcoming January 2016 trip. We're hoping to be able to sit on our balcony at night, and look at the GF. I'm just not sure what room request we should make in order to make that happen.

I'm not sure how up to date your main page is....Are all the outer building rooms refurbished now? If not which ones are. We are trying to avoid resorts that are in the midst of refurbishment. Thanks!

All rooms other than suites are finished. Suites should start in May or June. That will not create any noticeable construction

Congrats on the VGF stay Wookie ...I know that touring plans.com has a room view finder...not sure but I am thinking they might have VGF views included...also Candy might be able to give you some tips...as she is a frequent VGF visitor....

The main page is in need of some updating.... our wonderful hostess k&a&c'smom will be doing that sometime in the near future.. As for the room renovations in the outer buildings...they have indeed all been completed...

LOL.......Your DD should have know better..Now I am thinking about that creamy delicious Belgian chocolate...yum! .Thanks for the website info too....Another way to get a GF chocolate fix...I personally am a fan of picking it up in person...lol... Hope that the kitchen remodel will be done soon!

Just a booking code that the reservation people use to book rooms. If you know the code of what you are looking for at GF it is helpful because they have a lot of room categories and instead of looking they can just put the code in and see if the room you want is available. This is mainly helpful for suites and deluxe rooms that can sometimes only be booked on the phone as sometimes CRO people are not well versed in finding the different room types.

Just keep in mind that suite type could be in several buildings nothing is guaranteed and the suites are not currently refurbished. They are due to start in May or June (or at least that is what I was told when we stayed in one in Dec.) they are a bit worn especially for the rate and I don't know if I would book one until they are refurbished. You may also want to consider more than one room and request connecting, this would also be less expensive than the suite option.

And it is time to change my ticker, as I just booked F&W. Going off the grid this time and staying at.....the Dolphin. We've stayed there before, and for the F&W location it is perfect, and for booking at a moderate price, it's perfecter!l lol, Grammer police come smack me.

Does anyone have a concise list of room views of the GF like trishadano posted above? I know touring plans does a pretty good job with the pics of the views but there are lots of gaps for some of the buildings.

Arrived today, and I'm pretty sure I got an upgrade, although the CM who checked me in didn't say a word about it. I'm in Boca Chica, lagoon side, and I can very clearly see the MK! I don't think this is garden view.

This is definitely my new favorite resort. It smells so good and the pace on the grounds is so relaxed.

Boca is my first choice everytime, and BPK is my "oh well, it's still the GF choice." I typically book Garden or Lagoon, so that is why....
