I am at work and can't watch it yetcan't wait to get home tonight!
Blue: The pool does get very busy mid day! If you can't find a lounge chair on the bottom level, remember that there is an upstairs level with several lounge chairs in the sun and tables/chairs in the shade!! The pool has so many different areas to sit/swim that if you don't see one where you enter...keep walking around!! And DITTO on Busymommy with the walk to DHS. I know a lot of folks do it, but we really enjoy taking the boat going and coming back. I like to save my "miles walking" for in the park
TeacherDL I was very worried the first time we stayed away from BC because we spend all our evenings in EPCOT. But we find that while staying at Poly or WL we split our evenings with MK, DTD and EPCOT and just used the monorail for parks or cab for DTD!!! It was different but in a good way!
Reminder: Southwest just opened up the next flight schedule!!! I just booked our September flights![]()
Ocalla..I just booked our southwest flights too. I have been watching our return flight and hoping in would come down, and yesterday, it did!!Now, I have enough points for all four of us round trip tickets!! I'm so excited. Not having to pay for flights is what helped me to be able to stay at GF!

In 2012, when I visited GF for the first time (in may, during the day), the site was ... full of lizards (we saw a few hundreds within a 20 minutes visit). To the point that DH and I still call it "Lizardtown". When we visited again in November 2014, at night, we didn't see any lizards.
Is it still happening there? Is there a lizard season?
p.s.: I love lizards. It wouldn't prevent me from staying there.
Lizards are cold-blooded so I'm not surprised you saw them in May but not in the colder months. When the weather is warm, you'll see them everywhere!
I believe the "lizards" were probably geckos????

Hi soarinfanHi All - I have some questions about the Grand Floridian. I tried to go through this thread but it's huge and I couldn't find what I was looking for. Here's what I'd like to know.
I'd like a view of the Magic Kingdom and the fireworks. Where are the best buildings for this?
Can I get that view in the main building?
Would you suggest the main building or an outer building? What are the pros and cons of each?
In the outer buildings, are there elevators to the upper floors? If there are, are they inside or outside?
