Any sundae at the To Go "window". Happy as we went to Crew's Cup for final lunch and they were pleased to get their ice cream at Beaches and Cream.

That's good to know. We heard that they were using a limited menu at the "to go" window so we booked a reservation. How was the lunch at Crew's Cup? We are planning on trying it this August.

Hello! It's been quite a while since I've checked in here! We have modified our reservations for our July trip and we are now booked for our entire trip at BC! And we booked CL, too! Yay! I gave my husband two options....stay two nights at BC and the remaining seven nights at POR and get the DDP or nine nights BC CL with the QS dining plan. Smart man chose well! 55 days until we leave!!!!! I guarantee I'll be on the DIS a lot more in the upcoming weeks!

Please dance the Happy Dance with me!!!

Wow! So we can get a No Way Jose at the takeout window? SWEET!!!!

@Dispro1 Yeah...we already have our next trip planned, too. We will be driving or flying to California next summer to check out some colleges for DD...we will squeeze in three days at Disneyland for sure! We are sad that the 60th anniversary party will be over, but can't wait to see Cars Land and do the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour...I heard that part of the tour includes visiting Walt's apartment above the fire station in Town Square!! Oooh!!

That's funny...we are thinking about doing the whole DL/Hollywood/LA thing too and maybe adding Hawaii into the mix since we'll be half-way there(almost). We are NOT looking at colleges out there, however! I told my DD it has to be "driveable" and that's by my definition...8 hrs or less! I've heard DL is disappointing for those who love WDW because it's so small in comparison, but I still want to check it out for myself!

We have 3 rooms booked for September with the magical company that is discussed on here. Anyway, in one of the room will be my 2 grandchildren and at the time of travel they will 7 months and 21 months. We will need 2 pack n plays or cribs in this room. The travel agent said to wait until we do our online check in. Would you recommend waiting this long or is she just trying to pass off the task a little? Also will be in a standard view room. I havent found a map explaining where these rooms are like i have seen for other resorts. Is there such a thing?

I think we have fast passes at Epcot between 12 and 3 so we will probably miss you:( I promise not to punch you if I see you... But I will be very jealous! I always feel sorry for people when they are checking out because I know exactly how they feel:( I don't think I would be able to deal with the disappointment of leaving if I didn't have another trip on the horizon :)

The only way to fend off post trip depression (ptd) is to have another in the works!!

Our first Disney experience was in Disneyland...it was our first trip with kids (at the time, DS was 10, and DD was 8). It was the day after Christmas, and being from Minnesota, we were thrilled to be out of sub-zero cold, but it looked very strange to see all the Christmas decorations when it felt like June to us...

I've visited DL only once since then, but that first trip will always be very special for us. It certainly did NOT prepare us for WDW two years later...we couldn't even figure out how to get to EPCOT from BC...accidently found the secret door, and the rest is happy history!!!

It's the exit door next to room 1501 - closest to the path to EPCOT...we knew that BC wa close to EPCOT, but we were stumbling around trying to figure out how to even get out the resort, when we discovered the EXIT sign, and just tried it...voila!!

Thant was a million moons ago...can't wait to see if our room this fall will be close to that door!

It's explained on page 1 of the thread. It's the exit door out of Beach Club that is closest to the International Gateway at EPCOT. I've never used it, but apparently you can get from the door to a plate of fish and chips in less than 5 minutes.

Disneyland will always be special to us since it was our first park...we MISS IT A LOT since we've moved to Ohio. Since I'm not a WDW vet I am unable to understand why people get disappointed because of the huge size difference. I will point out two benefits of DL...one, you can walk between DCA and DL so park hopping is a breeze and two, it requires a lot less planning than a WDW vacation (dinner reservations are easier to obtain and legacy fastpass is still used there). For those who grew up with Uncle Walt and were a child of the 50s and 60s the park will definitely appeal to your nostalgic side...it appeals to mine and I was born in the 70s but am totally fascinated with Disneyland and it's history. It's a special place and I wouldn't dare compare WDW to Disneyland, they are two very different places even though they possess the same type of magic. There are merits to visiting both!!

Tonight is DD's Junior Prom. Where did the time go? Seems like my girls were just wearing Cinderella gowns and doing BBB!

Hope your DD has a wonderful time. My youngest had her junior prom last Saturday night and I'm not going to lie that I was just a bit teary-eyed watching her go...time does fly way too fast!

We went to Disneyland for 4 nights and then Hawaii for 10 nights last July. Really wonderful trip and we are so glad we broke up the long flight with the stay in California. It really helped us adjust to West Coast (and Hawaiian) time. We liked our time in Disneyland. It was fun comparing WDW to DL. Vive la difference! Food was very expensive, though!

Although I haven't posted an update in over a month, I do have a trip report going. The DL chapters are done and I am about halfway through the Hawaii portion- Oahu, Maui and the Big Island)

Come on over and check out "Tale of Two Trips" The link to the trip report is in my signature.
