As far as the discounts are concerned, you can have them added to your current reservation as long as they are available. BC Villas are very popular and fill up quickly so there may not be any availability when the discount comes or they may not be included in the discount. If you haven't done so, you should sign up for Disney Destinations emails and make an account on Disney.com. Disney Destinations randomly send out PINS via email. These pins usually give you 30 to 35% off and if you are lucky enough to get one you can book right away and not have to wait for the general public discount. This is how we were able to book our 2 bedroom BC Villa almost a year in advance.

Hope this helps.

Will the rollaway bed fit in the room with room to spare? I'm already worried about how much space we're going to have with 5 people in one room..

It depends on the room type you get. If you are unhappy with your room size being able to handle the rollaway or if you really want a daybed, ask them if they have any other rooms available and make the switch.

Thanks for the tips! I have a disney.com account and made sure in the communication preferences I have it checked off to receive occasional offers and such. Is that how I would get Disney Destinations emails? Or is there someone else I need to sign up for that?

Dee big  to you and your Dad. He's had quite the time this year, and good for him for acknowledging he's done with the driving. My grandfather (and DH's Pop) not so much and it was so stressful worrying about them and attempting to take away the car, etc. I hope it all gets squared away soon

DisneyNannie would room only discount work? They have a GV BC room avail with that offer ! Just an FYI

Yes that is it. You should be set if you have a disney.com account. Just make sure your preferences are set to receive emails from Disney and it sounds like you have done that. Also you should create a MDE account, this will help you link all your reservations together and allow you to book your fastpasses and order magicbands.

Great! I will check that out as well. Just a question about these PINs they email out. You said you got one and you were able to book your BC Villa almost a year in advance. Do these PINs not require you to book for certain dates? Usually the normal discounts say things like 30% off if you book for a trip for 6/20/15-8/17/15...or something like that. But you said you were able to book almost a year in advance with a PIN discount. Can you just pick any dates with PIN discounts?

Hello!!!
Just booked yesterday ;-)
YC Garden View (although phone CM called it Garden/Woods view) w/free dining in Nov!!

I must say, this thread is FANTASTIC! I have learned so much already. I previously knew nothing of YC other than it existed as a someday dream resort for us ;-)
At first, I was thinking that we were more BC people and that I had made a booking mistake. But I see many, many positives for YC.

At the CM's suggestion, I added "close to transportation" as a request on my ressie. My wish is to be central to both the bus stop and boat dock, rather than waaaaaaaay out on one of the wings.Does this sound possible? Or do I need to do a bit more homework?

Also.....I have learned that YC does not have its own dedicated "food court" area. Instead, you must head over to the BC Marketplace? Correct?

My pin was good for almost all of 2013 with some dates excluded. We booked in October 2012 for a September 2013 stay.

AND, I finally got them to answer the phone (almost dropped it when it rang), but their systems are down! Wanted to add a location request to the reservation and make a couple of ADR's.

DisneyNannie: I can't even look online for your GV BC room for at least the next hour. (of course we know what an hour means in Disney talk LOL)

Speaking of room requests, if you had to pick ONE request what would it be? Is a Balcony more important? or location? Or bed size?

Just wondered what everyone's favorite area to stay would be?

Ocala. Thank you much. The most expensive room we have is 2 adults 2 children ages 11 and 13

:)
Ditto... Please add me to the BOG list for August 29th to the 1st of September for the VERY MAGICAL VACATION! I would love to "get together" with you NM and HockeyMomR!!

:) ~N
I hope our rooms are close together so we don't have to keep running back and forth!

~NM

Yes, somebody needs to make a plan!!! Hope our rooms are as close together as possible.

:sunny:

We will be there May 27-June 28. :)

We are coming down for Star Wars Weekend and tacked a day on the front and a day on the back. Can't wait!!!!!

Was anyone able to get a Beach Resort Garden view room with free dining for the week of September 13 to September 19. I had to upgrade to a pool view but I would really prefer a garden view. Does anyone think these rooms will open up in the future?
I had the same issue for the same dates. Nothing available. I was able to find a room only discount but depending on DH's ability to get his vacation moved we may switch dates to get a garden view room and free dining earlier in the month. If I end up dropping the RO discount is there a way to let you pick it up?

I am not sure. I was trying to prove out the difference to see which would be better for me but since there aren't any available I can't price it out. Thank you very much for thinking of me.

Well I can tell you -- about $500 less for 7 nights without the park hopper add on. We were doing the 12th-19th. If you are doing park hopper it's incremental $68 per ticket including tax over 5 days. The BC discount for RO is 20% but YC would be 30%, so given the proximity I think that would be a better choice for RO discount. If you want to calculate the change for six days my pricing includes purchasing the dining plan with a room only discount for 4 people, 2 kids 3-9 and two adults.
