Ok, so let me fill you in on this resort. (Port Orleans Riverside)
First of all the buses are fine so don't believe the drama queens who can't cope with a bus. Basically, the same triumphs and tragedies one experiences at ANY resort can be found at POR. We are at the east stop which is the last stop before the bus departs for it's off resort site destination. We've had no trouble getting a seat and we are the last stop! Contrast this with the All Star resorts and the saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. Those All Star resorts are a zoo when it comes to the buses, with long lines and all ready 'filled to capacity' buses pulling up to YOUR stop! Nuff said!
The food court is the same as any food court with all the triumphs and tragedies that you experience at any other resort. At dinner and breakfast it can be crowded, lunch time... not so much. We haven't eaten at Boatwright's or what ever it is called, but we did have appetizers for dinner at the bar next door where YeeHaa Bob performs.... and they were awesome. Bob was pretty tasty too, so if you get the chance to see him, definitely do it! I figure the appetizers come out of the same kitchen so we would be willing to try it if we needed a sit down restaurant.
The pool, I told you about. I forgot to mention the other ubiquitous group that populates the pool and that's the Teeny Boppers. These are the kids that will participate in ALL of the pool games that the recreation staff can come up with AND they know all the dances. If a Mom should jump up there to do one of the dances she invariably looks like she is being stung by invisible bees as she makes her moves. These teeny boppers don't care however because they are in it for the FABULOUS prizes that are given out during these pool games. After watching the T.B-ers dance their padooka's off I was looking for the toaster ovens and paninni presses that I was sure they were giving away. As luck would have it they didn't even have the gumption to give the kids a lousy pair of fuzzy dice. All they were getting were those "Silly Bands", which in grown up terms is a funny shaped rubber band. Dey wuz robbed I tells ya!
A cab from this resort to any other resort is around the $20 or under mark. The laundry is also fine as there are many machines and most are in good working order. There is a small, in room, safe where Ninja Mom is hiding the good snacks from the rest of the boys. They think that bag of chocolate bars fell out of the bag and is rolling around the trunk of some cab.

At night when I hear the snoring I make my move and get some... all undetected and undiscovered. The Mousekeeper is going to wonder why a guest felt compelled to store empty snickers bars wrappers in the "in room" safe. I guess they've finally seen it all....
