Eating green peel potatoes?

Occasionally I know I've peeled a couple (probably many) of green peel potatoes. This past Wednesday one of my IV nurses told me you can actually get sick from these kind of potatoes. So then I googled and wow. I don't like to Google (and read ALL the results) so now....I'm asking my pros....my DISers.

What are your thoughts and/or experiences from eating potatoes that are greenish?

I've always heard that they should be thrown out and have always done so.

....they cause delusional concepts about anything Disney.... being a nightshade plant it would take a lot of peelings.... green taste bitter so always throw away... regardless how high the royal built his fence
