Since it hasn't been posted in a while and we have some new folks. Here's a nice aerial map of the YC/BC. Have fun!

I love looking at this map.

Thank you I have been searching for this map it was on a old tread and I could not find it. You just saved my BC trip Dh was getting nervous and wanted to change to CR:scared1:. Now I am armed with a map and I'm not afraid to use it.:woohoo:
 
Nothing really to add except that I'm so excited about our trip. We arrive Sunday!

We arrive on Sunday too :) WOOT WOOT!!!

I'm a little jealous of both of you.... we don't arrive at the YC until Monday afternoon. :woohoo: We're actually flying down on Sunday (into Daytona) but are visiting a college in Daytona Monday morning (DS is a high school senior next year).

If the weather forecast holds, I think we're in for a pretty good week, at least until close to the end when the typical "Florida afternoon" thunderstorms are forecasted.

Hope you both have a safe trip down and save room in the lazy river for us.

I am so excited, we will be staying at YC for the first time in May for an awards ceremony for my daughter. We have been to WDW many times and have stayed on property, but never have stayed here. We have been to the Boardwalk Bakery and Beaches and Cream, as well as, been on a specialty cruise for Illuminations, and have seen the YC, but so excited to finally stay there. I know muy DD's will love it. I have enjoyed reading this thread. Lots of great info. Thanks
 
Each time we go to WDW resorts we always have some things for the pool. We end up leaving these things for the next family.(no sign up, When we leave the pool for the last time We turn around and give it to another family. )
It makes us feel good some other family can enjoy them too.
We will be there begining of May. BC Club Level. (15 year anniversary):hug:

We are going in June and we have a party of 5 also. I called about 2 months ago just to check and the person told me that because of our party size we would automatically be given a room with a daybed.

I sure hope this is correct because someone's gonna be sleeping in the tub otherwise.

:rotfl: Wouldn't be the first time someone ended up in the tub!! Thanks for your help, I will call and check my room type and ask too.
 
Well I just called WDW Reservations to add our Flight Information to it, and they said we need to check on something. Put me on hold for about 10 mins, came back and said "The discount code you were booked with well, it's not valid and we'll need to change you rate to Rack pricing." :mad:

My jaw just dropped. :scared1::eek: I've already booked our airfare ($2000) because we were getting this discount because without it we couldn't go. I don't know what to do.

My DW is going to be so shocked I won't tell her while she is at school today. I am honestly about to just cry. :sad1::sad1:

Any ideas from the veterans? Good thing the kids don't know.

Call back and as to speak to a manager explain Very the situation to them. Did you book on line of over the phone. Don't give up just express how you feel. They are very good at problem solving. Good Luck

That is NOT right! What do you have in writing from Disney? I agree, you should call back and request to speak to a manager. If you were not told the code/discount was invalid at the time of booking I don't see how they can change you to rack rate. Even if a mistake was made, it doesn't sound like it was on your end!

That's kind of sad... I mean, we are still going, and we are using valid discounts? How much time or money could it take to fire off an email for a couple of months before the trip???

Oh well, I'm plenty excited anyway!! :)

Oh NO! Obviously they can tell from your file that you were given a discount. Have you made a deposit? If so, there was an OFFER (the price with discount) and ACCEPTANCE (you saying YES, we are going) and CONSIDERATION (the payment of the deposit). Those are the three requirements to form a contract. The argument would be that they cannot now breach this contract by rescinding the discount. Also, you have RELIED on this contract to your DETRIMENT ("detrimental reliance") by booking your airfare.

Legal speak comes later, as you go up the line. I never haul that out unless my back is against the wall, but you know what? You are in the right. Keep your head, stay positive, cry a bit, and I'll bet it will all work out. Good luck.

How weird!! I mean, like I said, we even get it when we don't have trips booked. I usually just delete them, so I don't have one or I'd forward it. Just read your code issue, though, so the "Hello" is probably the least of your worries right now. :sad2:

I told them what had happened and she said "Oh no sweetheart! They were wrong. If we booked it and you placed down a down payment, it's set." So they went to I have no idea who and got it switched back. Thank God!

I was about to flip out but having been in the Hospitality Industry for over 15 years I knew better. I'm just glad that it was able to be fixed but more importantly it was this week it happened and not next when I am at a conference.

My DD is happily working on her mousekeeping envelopes right now! She is so excited! So so soon we will be at beach club!!
