If you stood out front, it was a tad noisey but the actual construction noise wasn't bad at all from our room ... we could hardly hear it over the singing.

Under the sea......Under the sea......

Come one everyone, sing it with them!!!

Or is that (dare I do this?)

It's a small workd after all.... It's a small world after all...
Now that's going to stay with me all day!

You guys are bad ... I'm going to work. Looks like I'll meet some new dis friends today!

Hi Everyone

I've done a search & could not find if there is bowls & spoons in the rooms.
We are packing snacks & some breakfast items & wanted to know if we need to pack our own bowls?

6 more days til were there!!:dance3:
Thanks

He told me to cut down on iced tea but nothing else so I think I'm good. It's so funny, every person that has had kidney stones tells me that their doctor said to cut back on something different. The nurse in the hospital told me to drink more cranberry drinks but my doctor said that was rubbish. So now instead of drinking iced tea 99% of the time, I drink it about 50% of the time and the other 50% is usually lemonaide.

You can mix them both 50/50 and have an Arnold Palmer! Everytime someone orders that I always think it's a specialty drink or something! One time I almost carded a young girl cause it just sounds like a mixed drink...well it is but with ice tea & lemonade:rotfl:

I'm a HUGE iced tea drinker and the Arnold Palmer is even better than plain old iced tea...you get the best of both worlds:thumbsup2 Especially nice on a hot summer day, very refreshing.

If you are staying in a regular room, there are no bowls. Just coffee cups for the coffee maker.

One year, I brought my own light plastic bowls and plastic takeout spoons, forks and knives. I still use the bowls at home for cereal and ice cream.

You probably could take a few from the Marketplace, too, but I'm not sure if the things are "out for the taking" or if you would need to ask for them.

We will be staying at the Beach Club next year for my parents' 50th Anniversary. I know I can arrange cakes/treats to be delivered to their room through BC Private Dining. My question is, how does the payment work? Do I pay in full prior, or specify to charge to my room?

I don't want them to see a bill. ;)

Has anyone arranged any other food treats through private dining? Ideas, prices? Anyone have the mini-wedding cake delivered to a room?

I am planning on ordering a "Mickey Delight" anniversary cake at Chef Mickey's for our grand meal, but I wanted some more treats just for them at the hotel.

Hi everyone!

After a recent trip to Swan and BWI, I'm a new and delighted convert to the Epcot resort area. I never thought I'd be happy, let alone deliriously happy away from the monorail.

Anyway...
We spent some time at the BC and I know I want to do at least part of our next stay there. I can't wait to walk through the door and see Teena there smiling! (I did meet her last August at BC, but I wasn't staying there...so duh this time will be different) (Actually, I looked for Teena last month, but didn't see her anywhere).

I'm looking forward to joining this thread more regularly once we book.

My question right now is about the music played on the BC/YC bus. Often, when there wasn't a bus right there to whisk us back to BWI, we jumped on a BC/YC bus and the music was so beautiful! It was quiet, relaxing and there were seagulls involved. I tried to use the "Shazzam" app on my phone to get a trace on it but couldn't. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about and more importantly if I can get my hands on the music? Is this what is played in the lobby?

Anyone? Teena?

Thanks for the info.

We are staying in a regular room. So we need to get some bowls for the trip, once again thanks.

Question about Stormalong Bay - if we can get a discount, we're planning to stay at YC and do Stormalong Bay on our arrival day. My parents live outside of Orlando and would like to spend the day with us. Are they going to be prohibited from entering the pool area? I haven't been there before, so I'm not really sure how it's set up. I don't care if they can swim or not, probably only my son will swim anyway. I just want to know if they can be in that area.

They can't really afford to join us on a park day, so we're trying to fit in time to spend with them. But this will be our only non-park time.

Thanks.

I havent read all the post after this yet so Im not sure if it has been answered yet for you. :)
I was there the 10-13 and they made me go back to my room to get a key for everyone in my party to enter SAB

Hi all! This is a very busy thread :goodvibes I stayed several years ago at BCV, but never at BC. My DD6 has been looking at pictures, and wants to stay BC CL next year. She picked GF SL our last visit, and LOVED it. I will need 2 rooms, its 2 adults and 5 kiddos. Do the deluxe rooms connect to other rooms. Or do I need 2 regular rooms. I'm also looking at the 2 bedroom suites, but I don't know what is the best option. I don't think we need the space of a suite, but it might be nice. Thanks in advance. The kids will be 11,7,6,5, and 3 when we go. Back to reading the thread.....:thumbsup2

I just discovered them, esp good with the Pomegranate Lemonade & Iced Tea :goodvibes

I prefer a room discount as opposed to free dining as I have an annual pass and don't like to lose much time to sit down meals :dance3: So here is hoping for room discounts pixiedust:

Room discount at Deluxe resorts are always better for us (and paying for DDP) then free dining. We have APs too, but don't do the commando touring. We like afternoon breaks.

I LOVE your question! I don't know the answer, hopefully someone else does.

Yep, every person needs a room key to enter SAB. However, you can use the quiet pool without showing room keys.

The deluxe rooms do not connect to each other and are not on the fifth floor. They are scattered throughout the other four floors and your key gives you elevator access to the fifth floor where the CL lounge is located.

The two bedroom suites are also located on floors one through four and scattered throughiout the building and your key will give you access to the fifth floor and lounge. One of the bedrooms is a king bed and the other has two queens in it. In my opinion you'd be better off with two regular club level rooms on the fifth floor with two queens in each other.

Make sure you book the rooms together on the same reservation and call the resort about 6 days before your arrival date and ask to speak to someone in the back office. Just remind them then that you are a family of seven and booked two rooms and need rooms together with a doorway in between them. Since there are very few garden view club level rooms, I personally would book either standard or water ... making it easier to get two adjoining/connecting rooms.

:surfweb:I am addicted to this thread. There are a lot of wonderfully intelligent and helpful people. And funny too:lmao: I don't post often as I don't fall into those categories;) I am coming to the BC October 24 to 30 with my DD, DGS 24 months and DGD 7 months. I feel like I should request something on my reservation but I wouldn't know what:confused3 I'm secretly hoping for some pixie dust but that's probably unlikely on a monday night during F&W. I'm also bummed I won't meet Teena:sad2: Maybe next time. Can those who have been at the end of October before please comment on weather and crowds for that time of year? Thanks to all who help make this such an entertaining and informative thread. And Come On October!!
