Welcome back Teena. :flower3: Glad you finally got your trip in after the 'Great Stone Delay of 2011'. What a year! See you in December.....

I know!!! Up until the second we checked in, I wasn't sure we'd make it.

P.S. I have a return visit to the "stone" doctor Tuesday and I'm back to the Mayo Clinic for my 6 month check on Thursday and Friday. But after the great 3 nights at the BC, I'm ready to tackle both appointments! Of course, getting on the Disney Magic next Saturday (9/24) keeps that smile on my face too!

I am also a Boston Rob fan, though I like having Ozzy back this season. I also already have Amazing Race programmed into the DVR and I can't wait!

Feckless - fingers crossed the storm either misses you or doesn't cause much damage.
Teena - so glad you have a nice mini-vacation. The TV turning on sounds right up my alley. I do book reviews for The Paranormal Romance Guild and it sounds like something some of our authors would write. I'll have to tell them.:scared1:
DS, DIL and myself will be there on Sunday, can't wait for my 7 days in heaven. Hope to get to wave at some of ya'll from the living seas on Wens.:cool1:

I'm at YC from Nov 8-14. :)

Happy Planning!!

We're back from our mini-vacation at the Beach Club. It was wonderful!

Welcome home so glad you had a great trip!!

Hey Nannette, just wanted to let you know we received our DISer pin in the mail yesterday. TYVM. Now to take a looooong nap and wake up on Dec 2nd ! (Need that xtra day as I haven't packed yet (GASP !) Thanx again.

Oh me too (reality TV junkie). Rachel deserved it definitely. However, I was shocked at who voted for who. I called it all wrong.

Survivor is great too ... The first few weeks though I don't enjoy alot because I haven't gotten to know the people yet. It helps that they bring back some vets! The last season was my favorite ... I'm a Boston Rob fan!

Looking forward to Amazing Race. And I'm happy we will all know one of the teams ahead of time!

Me, too! Love the way he "tawks".

LOL - My older kids make fun of me because I still LOVE Survivor!
Giant Boston Rob Fan here too!!!!

I am also a Boston Rob fan, though I like having Ozzy back this season. I also already have Amazing Race programmed into the DVR and I can't wait!

OOHH I LOVE me some Boston Rob!! I cannot wait until Amazing Race is on again, though it will be sad without my Cowboys.

So happy you had a wonderful time Teena!! And I'll be silly and comment on Big Brother, I was ecstatic that Rachel won!! DH thought I had lost my mind! lol And I'm hoping Survivor picks up a bit as the first episode was ok, but loved seeing Ozzy back! :) Sorry I'm a reality tv show junkie lol

Thanks for the live trip reports cindydare. Love them!!!

MM - I LOVE your posts, you brighten my day so much!! Thank you! :cheer2:

:lovestruc Ozzy!!! But can't believe they brought back Coach?

Teena sounds like you had a great time, Family of the Day x2 AND CL!! :thumbsup2
I have to agree, we thought the CL staff were great. Esp. with my daughter! They sure gave her the star treatment!

Glad you found some good reading material

What a difference a couple of weeks make I guess. When we left Sept 1 there were no love bugs.

The love bugs are there twice a year and last about a week to ten days. They are pretty darn bad. As long as you are in the water, they leave you alone. Sitting at our table and trying to play cards was hard, especially the last day. They got in our drinks too. YUCK! But we had three days at the pool with low humidity and we had excellent reading material. So overall it was a wonderful trip!

I have been during love bug season a couple of times. It was weird because we would see them a lot by the lounge chairs and benches by the bus at the beach club..but then at the parks they would be far and few between..I know they are attracted to white so I am thinking all those white lounge chairs at the beach club bring em in..and who can blame them what's better than spending the day at stormalongbay!!!! ;)

Teena, I love your trip report! Your visits to BC SHOULD be extra special. Y'all so deserved a sweet relaxing anniversary. The fact that you work here and would stay here, AND come here to talk about BC is one of the reasons I am inspired to stay here.

Did Beach Club have a special movie or activities going on for Halloween on 10/31 last year? I have seen that some other resorts have special activities, but don't see anything about BC. We're doing the early dinner show at Hoop de Doo that night, and I was wondering if there might be anything fun to do when we get back to the resort.

Checking in later today. Is there anyplace for DD and I to get a quick nail polish change? If so how expensive would it be? Thanks!

We have a movie every night outside (weather permitting). I would guess that it might be a special one on Halloween. When the October recreation guide comes out, someone usually prints it here and it should list it. Other than that, there's not too much special in the past at the Y&B.

Since you are going to be at Fort Wilderness, they normally have a haunted hay ride. I did it one year and it was a blast. You might want to think about that after the dinner show.

Our last trip, in fact, all of our trips, have been in August. We remember the love bugs being especially plentiful on the boat ride from the WL to the MK, thousands of them ! Luckily, they are harmless. It will be a nice change to be at the world in Dec (for the 1st time !), and not have to deal with them.

Periwigs ... not sure on cost. If you are in the BC and go out the door by Ariel's and make a right, you pass Beaches & Cream, then the arcade, then the health club and then you will find Periwigs.

Oooh! What letter did you get up to in the phone book? I'm always tempted to prank call people, so my husband has to take it away by the time I get to the letter "B".

I'm leaving on a jetplane.......

Arriving MCO late tonight, checking in BC Sunday AM.

I'm taking the ipad so I'll try to send some live reports.

See you soon Teena.

It is understandable that the love bugs would prefer SAB to the parks, but I'm wondering how they all got their KTTW to get into SAB.

I suppose since they are relatively small they could all just check into one room and get their room key cards that way, but it seems like a bit of a hassle for them.

Or maybe the fact that they fly allows them to sneak over the entry gate. That must be it. So for Tltorrez - if you parents know how to fly they could fly into the SAB area and enjoy the day with you at the pool. :)
