Teena -- great news!! So happy for you. :cool1:

I think the waterpark question from PP may have been overlooked...so I'll give it a shot:
This is our first trip with the water park an more option. Does any one here have any tips/suggestions/opinions on the best time to go ? rope drop or later in the afternoon? if you could choose only one which would you go to? we are planning on trying both but wondering in case something happens and we only get to one. It will be me (adventurous), dmom (not at all adventurous)and ds 13 (somewhat adventurous) . We have 5 day park hoppers and I am trying to be flexible this trip with our touring plans. What I do know is sat am emh dhs, sun pm emh mk, mon mnsshp - that is all that is set in stone. TIA!

Both parks are great. We like Typhoon Lagoon better, but it's a close call. Go early in the day. Too much variability with weather late in the day. We like to go early and head back to the hotel after lunch, and then reset for parks for the afternoon and evening.

HelenParr, thanks for bumping up this question and offering some great advice.

We prefer TL too- the wave pool is more fun, but it is much more intense than at BB. The family ride at BB is much better though.

AK is a half-day park for us, so what we like to do is go to AK in the morning, and then spend a few hours at BB. After a morning at AK, we are usually pretty hot and ready for a water park. If you are taking Disney transport, I think most of the resort buses will stop at BB before going back to the resort so you can hop on almost any of the buses in the lot going to a resort (just confirm with the driver that he is going to BB). As HelenParr pointed out, there is a risk that afternoon thundershowers will shut down the park, so watch the skies.

Hey pals ... I'm back from the cruise and the medical appointments before the cruise.

Here's what's happening:

Got a good report from kidney doctor.

Mayo Clinic ... they found a "suspicious area" and I had to have a biopsy on Friday (day before the cruise). So, I was on the Disney Magic for 7 nights not knowing whether the cancer had returned. I still managed to have a ball and enjoyed the cruise. Bob and I read, slept, swam, got suntan, ate way too much and relaxed big time. On Friday we had a perfect day at Castaway Cay!!!! I was on my floaty in the ocean most of the day. Was suppose to hear from my surgeon at home on Saturday afternoon when we returned from the cruise but didn't get the call.

Went to work Sunday and met some great disers!!! No call from surgeon at home.

Today at the Beach Club, Bob called and left me a message saying there was a message on the answering machine at home from the surgeon to call her. I called from the Beach Club and she was with a patient and then had to go into surgery. I left the surgeon the phone number in the back office and alerted the back office CMs that hopefully the surgeon would be calling for me. She called at 1:30 with the news that the biopsy came back benign. What a relief. I cried happy tears and spent the rest of the day in the lobby with the biggest smile ever on my face. She said "see you in six months".

Thanks to everyone for all your support this year and your prayers. There aren't words to really express how much you have meant to me and how much you have helped!!!!!

That is GREAT news!!! So glad you had a great time on your vacation even not knowing the results!! I hope we get to visit next month. DD and I will be arriving on November 17th and departing on November 27th.

AK then BB is a great idea!

We almost always use the bus system -- even though we have a rental car (because we visit family nearby). You know you are addicted to the YC when you enjoy waiting for the bus, which I do. :thumbsup2 It's so peacful and happy at you're at the the YC!! But I digress.

The only time we use the rental car on property is to go to waterparks. Just something about being wet on the bus on the way home that makes me use the car.

If using the bus, the TL bus from YC/BC is on the DTD route. BB is on AK route.

See you then!!!!

Thanks Deb. Hope to see you again before too long. We can chat and I'll catch you up on my crazy year! Isn't that Princess Lily the cutest???? I'm heading out to visit Jeanne and Lily in early December. Jeanne sends me pictures regularly and I can't believe how she changes so quickly.

Hi Teena...
Although we haven't met YET, I have been reading these boards quite a bit. Wanted to tell you first and foremost how happy I am that you got such GREAT news....I know firsthand just how difficult the waiting is, so a big CONGRATS to you! Secondly, your grandaughter.... she is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Glad you had a wonderful trip on your cruise and I hope we get the chance to meet when I arrive for our very first stay at the BC this month :). We arrive on the 22nd and will be there until the 29th (we still haven't told our DD's that we're staying at the BC - they are going to absolutely freak when they find out).
All the best....
Rosa

Teena,

I am very happy for your good news :goodvibes So glad you were able to enjoy your cruise (with the waiting for your results in the back of your mind). Now you can concentrate on your beautiful Granddaughter :lovestruc

Teena - YIPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!

I have been keeping you in my prayers. So glad that you were still able to have a fantastic cruise!!!!

Soooo happy for you and Bob!!!!!!

Is there a general email address for the BC? I stayed a week ago and think I may have left something in my room. Not sure who to contact. Thanks!

I don't know if there is a general email address. According to the info on Page 1 (which I inherited), the phone number for the Beach Club is:

407-934-8000

I'm not sure if this brings you to a call center or to the actual BC, but it might be a good place to start. Ask what happens to found items- do they stay at the BC lost and found/how long or are they sent to the central lost & found for WDW?

I hope you are able to find your missing item.

Does anyone know what the current bounceback offer is? are they offering one currently?!

As of when we checked out (September 25th) there wasn't a bounceback offer. (We asked CM and called...no dice) but I get the feeling they were preparing a new offer at the time, so I'll cross my fingers for you!:goodvibes

The above info was posted yesterday.

I'm not sure if there has been a more recent BB clock than this which runs throughout the end of 2011:

The remaining dates are Oct 23-29, Nov 13-19, Nov 27-30, Dec 1-3, Dec 11-17

HelenParr and Natebenma - thank you for your advice. Good idea to do the morning at ak then hit one of the water parks. Appreciate it. Can't believe our trip is finally here (booked in Feb!) Need to get it figured out soon - checking in on sat.

We will be visiting YC CL for Thanksgiving :banana:to visit DD21 (she is interning at Disney, loves it!). We received the email from IPO about making reservations. Here's my question to all the CL experts, since I'm the family queen of planning ahead, I already have all our reservations already. Is it still helpful to send IPO my reservations? :confused3Thanks to all.:flower3:

I don't think you need to send them. Both times when I stayed CL, I made our dining reservations myself (no one touches my ADRs!), but when we checked in, they had the list of our reservations in our info packet.

Anyone have a different experience?
