Hey pals ... I'm back from the cruise and the medical appointments before the cruise.

Here's what's happening:

Got a good report from kidney doctor.

Mayo Clinic ... they found a "suspicious area" and I had to have a biopsy on Friday (day before the cruise). So, I was on the Disney Magic for 7 nights not knowing whether the cancer had returned. I still managed to have a ball and enjoyed the cruise. Bob and I read, slept, swam, got suntan, ate way too much and relaxed big time. On Friday we had a perfect day at Castaway Cay!!!! I was on my floaty in the ocean most of the day. Was suppose to hear from my surgeon at home on Saturday afternoon when we returned from the cruise but didn't get the call.

Went to work Sunday and met some great disers!!! No call from surgeon at home.

Today at the Beach Club, Bob called and left me a message saying there was a message on the answering machine at home from the surgeon to call her. I called from the Beach Club and she was with a patient and then had to go into surgery. I left the surgeon the phone number in the back office and alerted the back office CMs that hopefully the surgeon would be calling for me. She called at 1:30 with the news that the biopsy came back benign. What a relief. I cried happy tears and spent the rest of the day in the lobby with the biggest smile ever on my face. She said "see you in six months".

Thanks to everyone for all your support this year and your prayers. There aren't words to really express how much you have meant to me and how much you have helped!!!!!

Teena, so happy to hear this news! I can feel your relief from your post. So glad that you were able to enjoy your cruise even with this hanging over your head.

Congrats Heather and family!

Thank God. Such Wonderful news!!! As a cancer survior I understand how scary it is to be waiting for test. I am so happy for you and your family that everything was OK. Can't wait to meet you in December.

Teena- that news made my night! Sorry you had to go through this past week of worry, but I am so happy that you finally received some good news!!!

Bet you will sleep great tonight!

Oh Teena that is fantastic!! I am soooooooo happy for you!!! But my dear why did you go to the Doctor the day before vacation???????? though I have to tell you this past August when I last saw you I went to the urologist for a suspicious shadow on my kidney. I fully expected him to say "no biggie enjoy your vacation" but his computer was unable to read the hospital MRI disk so I had to leave for disney the next day not knowing the outcome...I HATED IT!!! Though he did call a few days later while i was ina food court and I got good news but I don't think I could have handled a cruise not knowing!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Melissa

Ohh YAY!!!! Teena that is great news. I'm so happy you got a clean bill of health. Glad you and Bob had a great time on your cruise! Again, we really enjoyed meeting you and I swear, I mailed that phone book back to the villas. I really, really did! :thumbsup2

glad you got such good news teena. we are arriving at the yc on sat. Hope to meet you while we are there.

Sounds like you made the most of your cruise even with the test results looming.

Been tweeking the "master plan" again (I'm way too "disney productive" on my days off). We are buying the DP since we are renting points from my sister for our trip in May. Would really like your input before making our ADR's. Also a few (*) we will be paying for or not using the dp on. How does it look? Any other suggestions? and would you use DP for castle breakfast and pay for Crystal Palace and Cheif Mickey's dinners? Price wise which one is the better deal on DP?

Captain's Grille
*Castle breakfast (have finger's and toe's crossed for this one)
Tutto Haila (hopefully, it's still there then)
Teppa Edo
*Rainforest
*Big River Grille & Brewery
Crystal Palace
Chief Mickey's
50's Prime Time
LeCellar (2 ts)
*Cape May Cafe (breakfast)

Thanks so much again, I really value you guys opinions!!

Consider using one for the Fantasmic dining package- it worked great for us. We had an early dinner at Mama Melrose's and found the food very good. You also get an appetizer with a Fantasmic package. Eventhough the seats for Fantasmic were on the side - it still was a great view and it was great not to stand in line.

We also really enjoyed Ohana - food was extremely plentiful and all good.

The kids liked the character interaction at the Garden Grill - we also found the food good. They then liked going on Living with the Land ride and located some of the veggies we ate. We went here on the day we arrived so it was a quick walk over to EPCOT from the Beach Club and the kids didn't have to wait to see the big mouse! We then hopped the monorail to Magic Kingdom - a Disney vacation doesn't start for me until we walk down Main Street. They had extra magic hours the first night we were there so we stayed into the early morning. It was the first week in May and MK was open until 3am.

This is our first trip with the water park an more option. Does any one here have any tips/suggestions/opinions on the best time to go ? rope drop or later in the afternoon? if you could choose only one which would you go to? we are planning on trying both but wondering in case something happens and we only get to one. It will be me (adventurous), dmom (not at all adventurous)and ds 13 (somewhat adventurous) . We have 5 day park hoppers and I am trying to be flexible this trip with our touring plans. What I do know is sat am emh dhs, sun pm emh mk, mon mnsshp - that is all that is set in stone. TIA!

Oh Teena! I'm so thrilled for you! Dee had let me know about your recent scare but my oldest child has been in the hospital and I didn't get a chance to check in with you. (Sorry!!! I was praying for you even though I didn't call or email).
