No! We were just there last week and couldn't believe how hot it was on those boats. I chose to sit outside when it was in the 90's rather than sit inside with no air circulating.

Ok, then that's that eh? If they don't want to do the A/C right on those boats Marlton Mom is considering riding them a la Lady Godiva! .....And at 47 years old and kinda saggy and baggy there is no more lady left in my Godiva!

Thanks for the replies btw :grouphug:

The AC on the Friendship boat seemed to be working (somewhat) last week. I asked a CM before boarding because we took the Friendship boat last Sept for our ADR to Cape May and we almost passed out it was so hot. The CM said the AC is working but it's difficult to keep up because the boats are open. It didn't feel too bad at all considering it was in the 90s all last week. We didn't take the boat to HS though just to the Boardwalk and Epcot.

Robyn- I am so so sorry to hear the news about your mom. I pray that she is able to leave the hospital soon and be as comfortable as possible.

She sounds like such a wonderful woman, you are truly a blessed family and I thank you for sharing her struggles with all of us. I hope it has helped you to know that so many people care.

I want to go back D:

We got home yesterday and I've got to say WHEN Moonie #1 and I get DVC (after we win the lottery etc...) our home resort will be BC. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful during our stay.

For some reason the only day anyone was present at SAB to issue wristbands was our first day there.

We did see Teena in the lobby a few times (Though you were either busy with another family or Moonie #1 and I were sick.... Gluten Free at Tokyo Dining was apparently not very Gluten Free because we were up sick a good portion of our last night)

And (I think his name was John) in Concierge was a HUGE help in finding my lost autograph book

I can't wait for us to go back! <3 Definitely 'Home'

Just back from our first stay at BC CL and I must eat crow. I was excited about trying it but I never thought I would waiver from the Poly. Nothing could be as good as that right?! WRONG!! I now humbly submit to you and ask to become a full fledge BC card carrying member! Holy Moley.... why did it take me so long to try it?!

We stayed GV CL and had amazing view of fireworks at night from illuminations. The CM were AWESOME and were able to change tons of our ADRS and get us some great ones that I couldn't get. They brought out special snacks and drinks for my kiddos during off times and were in general amazing.

SAB lived up to the hype too! I was worried about my young kids in the pool but didn't need to be at all.

WE ALL LOVED BC! Even my daughter (4) said this was the best place to "live"! Oh if only we could live there sweetie if only!! Now it's time to start planning the next trip .... and there will be no resort saga from us anymore... BC all the way!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Beach Club last week. It was our first stay there and it didn't disappoint! Here are some things that we loved:

- Wonderful pool and not too crowded. In the evening, we practically had it to ourselves.
- Great lifeguards who take their jobs seriously. We saw one jump in and pluck a little boy out who couldn't swim after coming down the slide.
- Decor is just beautiful. Everything is very crisp and clean.
- The food at the Market Place isn't bad! I wasn't expecting much, but it was better than expected. A great place to stop in for something quick.
- All of the castmembers were super friendly! We saw Teena and she gave us a nice hello and smile, but I was too bashful to tell her I "know" her on the boards.
- We had a garden room and it was HUGE!!! It was a corner room - 4606 and had the extra long balcony. We felt like we were staying in a suite. We had room to just roll in the stroller and park it in the long hallway before the bathroom. The kids loved running all around the room.
- The room was so clean. Great housekeeping. No towel animals, but I can't complain. :)
- Loved Cape May. We did a walk up one evening and it was very good, much better than I expected. I don't eat seafood, but their were plenty of yummy options. I did think it was expensive though.
- We found the transportation to Magic Kingdom to be just fine. No excessive waits.
- Beaches and Cream was delicious. The best hamburger I had all week. We were lucky to walk right in on our last evening.

Thanks to everyone who answered my questions the past couple of months! This place is just amazing and we will be back!!

It's great to hear from some new BC/YC converts! Glad you had great trips! Hope you will stick around and hang out with us until your next trip. I find it helps with the withdrawal pangs.

Moonies- sorry to hear about the food issues. How aggravating!

Graduation announcements and party invitations are mailed. Carpets are clean. Dog is all groomed and looks really cute. Sprinklers are ready for the season. All travel arrangements for DD and DW's big days are complete. Last weekend's performances of the play went great - Industry Night is tonight, and only five more shows to go before the cast party. I can start getting excited about our BCV stay again with only 14 days to go!

Need an opinion, however. We plan on doing all our breakfasts in the villa, so we want to stop for groceries on our way from the airport. Which grocery store, in your opinion, has the best combination of convenience (in terms of being on the route from MCO) and reasonable prices? If possible we'd like to do a one-stop shop, so a store that also sells stuff like pool noodles, lanyards, ginger pills, and waterproof ID card holders would be a plus.

Wow- sounds like you are busy, busy! Glad the play is going well. I don't have any concrete info about where you should shop, but I seem to recall hearing about a super Walmart somewhere in the area that may fit the bill. Perhaps someone else can provide some info.

I posted on this issue maybe last week? I can't remember but we were just there and this is what we found....

The washers that are near the quiet pool are front loaders but do not need HE detergent. There is nothing on them saying to use HE detergeant and what they sell there is not HE detergeant. Just because a washer is a front loader - doesn't make it high efficiency. The soap is cheaper in the laundry room than in the Marketplace ($1 vs $2). Easy to bring your own dryer sheets. We did not look closely at the laundry room that is at the end of the hall headed towards EPCOT (I can't give a good description on the location - just follow the signs) to see what those washers were like. Only used the ones near the quiet pool.

Thank you so much!! I looked at the new pics on page 1, hoping they would show the detergent maching, but it wasn't on there. Last year I took my own, but this year I would just rather buy it when we arrive than haul it around.

OOPs- I must have missed the info when you posted it. I will revise the front page info. Did you notice if there was softener for sale in case someone forgets the dryer sheets?

Thanks!

I have several holiday pics from our Thanksgiving 2010 trip. If I can figure out how to get them to the site I will do so. Most of them are on my daughter's FB page.

Robyn,
My thoughts are with you and your family. Cherish all the precious memories you have with your mom and your family. It always amazes me how those who are ill always end up comforting us! Hopefully, she will be able to come home and you can gather more memories together.

Thanks, Liz! Someone else has promised to send me some photos tonight, so if it is any trouble at all don't worry about it. I can also send you my contact info by PM.

I think I am finally getting out of my depression of post Disney. Tomorrow night I am going to OPRAH's last shows at the United Center in Chicago. I am so excited !!!!!! Looks like I have great seats too, row 18 (wow). Maybe she is giving away trips to Disney? Probably not, but I can dream.

That is really exciting!!! I'll have to watch! Have you been to any of the show's tapings before? Enjoy!

All I can think of is my son quoting what must be a you-tube spoof of Oprah "You get a humpback whale!" and "You get a humpback whale!"

Robyn so very sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she gets to go home and have a peacefull and joyful time with her family. I will say my stepfather's mother got to the point where she just wanted to live and be intervention free and they were good and comforting days with her kids and grandkids. No stress, no constant poking and proding, just at home with her family and living each day to the fullest as much as possible.

Teena hope you are feeling okay after your zap today.

Just about a month to go before we get to the BC. I've never really worried before about a view or a balcony. However with my mom going with us this time and 5 in the room I might like that little bit of extra outside space if possible. We are staying CL with a GV. Can anybody tell me possible views we might have? What about a balcony. I've noticed talk before about full balconies and standing only balconies?

Nope, not like other times. It was pretty cloudy.

That's too bad!

I'll never forget that it was thanks to you that we saw a launch in July 2009. The launch was originally scheduled for the Saturday we arrived at the Beach Club, but the weather was not good, so it was postponed. You made sure we knew when it was rescheduled and you even helped us figure out where to look to see it. The shuttle went up at 6:03 on a night we had a 6:10 dinner reservation at Le Cellier, so we watched it take off over the Pyramid in the Mexico Pavilion before going in for dinner.

It was a great night!

I don't know if you should revise it yet.

When we were there last summer two of the washers were out of order.
I was there when a maintenance cm came to fix them and he told me that there were having trouble because people weren't using HE detergent.

Of course those machines that sell the detergent have been there forever - maybe someone just didn't realize that they should have signs about the HE detergent!

Hi Robyn,

Just saw your post regarding your mom. She sounds like such an amazingly strong and inspirational woman. As always, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
