Welcome!! Can I add your name to the November 2011 Y/BC/BCV's Who's Where List?!?!

This master list is located on page 1. I update the list on page 3 and Dee then updates the master list on page 1.

Yep, totally cool. Thanks! :)

We stayed in room 1511 at the BC last year, it was on the ground floor facing the woods directly behind the UK part of world showcase. We had a patio table and 2 chairs(which sometimes went missing, but we just borrowed them back) it is not fenced in, the path went right past the room.It was perfect for us, it was quiet with people occasionally walking past, but no way intrusive. We used to leave costumes out to dry, and they were perfectly safe. The rooms above us only had one of those small balconies(cant remember what they are called) but you cound not fit 2 chairs on them.
The best thing about our room was that the path led onto the main footpath to WS.From patio door to WS 3 minutes:goodvibes
I think it was rooms 1501-1530 being in this area.

I love it! Definitely thinking we want a ground floor room. This sounds so perfect!

I asked a similar question a while ago and Teena replied that since the rooms were given new categories there are no more 1st floor SV rooms.

Well, shoot, but I guess if you're meant to expect rooftops or parking lots with SV, that's to be expected. I will ask our travel agent to look into it. This is a priority for us, and I'm willing to pay for an upgrade. Thank you!

Oh, and put us down for the noodle swap! We arrive 10/29 and leave 11/5, so I can take the hand off from PrincessTaylorsMom if there's still a gap there.

This forum moves so fast, I am worried an earlier question I had won't be answered, so I'm gonna ask again in case there's someone out there who knows the answer. Does anyone know where conventioneers are usually placed in the YC? I'm wondering what kind of view I can plan on having as I'll be there part of my stay in Nov/Dec as part of a convention. Thanks!

Thank all of you for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers for my FIL and our family! The YC/BC group is the best!! :grouphug: He is still doing much better than I expected, except his iron level is low, so he'll be getting an iron infusion tomorrow. Hopefully next week's course will go just as well!

The last day of school was yesterday, so DD7 is excited to be on summer vacation! The kids and I are headed to NC on Monday to visit my Mom and DS3 thinks that if we're going to Nana's house then we must be going to Disney. :rotfl: I keep telling him that when we go to Nana's in September, then we'll be going to Disney!

Hope everyone's summer is getting off to a fantastic start!

I was wondering does the BC CL lounge have a fridge where they keep the drinks to stay cold or do they use a bucket filled with ice and put them in there?

What type of construction were they doing during the day by the quiet pool?

Thanks!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

It appeared to mostly be on the siding and painting. I assume they were replacing old materials and then painting/touch - ups. The noise wasn't hammering or anything just the hum of generators and voices of workers if they were nearby the room.

Noklo - thanks for yur review. Can you tell us what you had for brfeakfast at Captains Grille, did you do the buffet or order off the menu?

When we ate at Captain's Grille for breakfast we did the buffet. We were on the DxDP, so it was a better value considering almost all the items on the menu are at the buffet. We got juice and tea/coffee with the buffet. I think it's a great value if paying OOP or on a DDP. Everything was hot and fresh.

If you are looking for something quick, Ale and Compass is great - there are bagels, muffins, a few pastries, cereal, fruit, juices, brewed coffee, and tea selection. There is a little bar with a toaster, cream cheese, butter, and jams. You can refill your mug here too if you have one. Great for on the go!

There is a small fridge with sodas in it. They add beer to the fridge in the evening. The tea and lemonade out during the afternoon/evening (juice and milk in morning) are in large containers next to a bucket of ice.

I have a mission for anyone going soon, or there now. Can you check Marketplace shop prices on a few grocery items for me?

Half Gal of milk
Large bottles of Dasani on the bottom shelf
Individual cereal bowls
Individual pieces of fruit

Thank you! I'm trying to decide whether to order a few things from Garden Grocer. After their deliver fee and new fuel surcharge, I think we might as well just pay the Disney prices for our few in-room essentials. I know we can use DDP Snacks for a couple of these things, but we'd like to save those for the F&W booths!

TIA!

I don't think it's always specific, but if I had to take an educated guess, they would probably all be standard rooms and then probably facing the front of the resort (i.e., parking lot, roof top, looking at convention center). Last time we were there, there were conventioneers, and I am sure that's why we were upgraded to water view. Conventioneers get the standard first. :confused3

I was down for 3 seperate conferences, all at the Yacht Club. All three times I was told I had a standard room but was luckily upgraded to a water view room overlooking the lighthouse with a beautiful view of the Boardwalk.

Hey Guys! Logged on to the Disney Florist website today and it says In-Room Celebrations: Coming Soon - A Pirate's Adventure!! Sound familiar to anyone? LOL!!:lmao:

I'm actually excited that maybe they got part of the idea from our custom celebration!:cool1:

I'm thinking of doing the resort photo session at BC on our trip, but I really like the hammock pics I've seen at Poly and GF. Does BC have one of those hammocks too?

Woo Hoo! You're famous!!!
Now tell them that although flattery is the sincerest compliment how about a hefty discount on your next celebration!!!

We got the word that we will be at the BEACH CLUB for our trip July 5th - 12th if you could please make that update.

I also have a big surprise planned. It's killing me that I can't post about it because my daughter frequents these boards too and I don't want her to know! (And if you're reading this DD, I added this to torture you since I know how you are about not knowing something!!!)

really mom? :headache:

This is great news! After seeing your photos, I considered a pirate-themed In-Room Celebration. I was thinking about how to describe your photos, but with the new Pirate's Adventure, it will be so much easier! Yay!
