Thanks Dee!!!!I totally agree with this advice. I think there are very very few and I'm not sure which ones are at club level and which are not, but I don't think you need to specifically request "private balcony". Only one slight alteration to the above suggestion- when you checkin, ask if you have a private balcony, before even taking your keys- in the unlikely event that you do have a shared balcony, ask for a room change.
Go through the regular checkin instead of the advanced on-line checkin which is designed for people who will just grab their keys and go.
