Well if Paula Deen has anything to do with your noodles I know that they'll be covered in butter!!!

:rotfl2:
Joanie

:rotfl2: Covered in butter and at least 1000 calories each. . .

We are also only two days away from arriving!! So excited :)

Us too! This was a short trip, booked last minute so I didn't bother with a ticker. I'm still excited though!:banana::banana:

Hope ya'll have a great trip! I'm getting antsy--I want to pack the truck, but I don't want to jump the gun!

What ya'll don't know is that I fully intend to have the pool noodle family now hiding in our Disney Box challenge the Noodles. Apparently I possess the Southern version of the Noodles.

LOL, in a month, I'll be envious of you!

Honestly, I'm so excited because ever since I first saw the Yacht and Beach Clubs, I wanted to stay in one of them.

Have a magical trip! Can't wait to hear all about it.
Once you stay at BC/YC you'll never want to stay anywhere else.

We were die hard GF fans until we tried BC/YC!

Hope that everyone whose trip is coming up has a wonderful time.
Take lots of pictures!!!!!

Oh no, not again ... I had a poor guy upset on Sunday ... he tried to trade me a Universal pin. The rules say "an official Disney pin" is all I can take.

I can't wait to meet you and the family in person although I feel like we are long time friends already. You've helped me so much ... today I got those items you suggested at Walmart ... I think they will help with my blisters/rash!

I just got done packing for my trip. Jeanne says she's exhausted and can't see her feet anymore so between the two of us in our various states of exhaustion, we should be able to get done what a "normal" person gets done. Then back to the last two weeks of the "zapping" before I'm flying back out for Peanut's arrival.
Have a good trip. Hopefully, things can get done without getting too tired -- for you both!!

You ain't kiddin'!! We love the Yacht Club, having stayed there only once. We had to stay at the POR last time for monetary reasons but are so excited in going back to the YC this time.

I told my husband we should try somewhere else next time just to mix it up. So, maybe the Beach Club. :rotfl2:

Thanks! I usually have to work the day before a trip, so not being at work today, I'm kind of antsy!

Ad you won't have to worry about me taking lots of pictures. The SD cards are empty (all 7 of them, lol), the batteries are charged, and the camera is ready for the ride.

And then there was one. Have fun Amanda and we want full details :thumbsup2 !

Thanks!

Cinderumbrella Niki in NJ Creativeamanda Tinkerbellemom and anyone else who is leaving soon Have a great time!!! :dance3:

Natebenma The Marketplace looks like a one stop shopping kind of place! You can eat drink and shop for all kinds things..

Are there any other specific shops located in YC/BC resort besides the Marketplace?? Like Summer Lace the womens store at the GF...or Boutiki at the Poly??? I know that the BW is close by with many shops...just wondering if there are any right there in the resort???

Teena Hope you aer starting to feel better..

Disneymomx7 Die hard GF fans here too...this will be a whole new experience for us..so I am excited and a little worried...Hope that we fall in love with the BC too!

Oh boy - I was just checked in the wdw website and our dates (July 16-31) are completely sold out for both BC and YC! At first I thought it was just that there weren't anymore passholder rates available, but then I checked on the regular reservation site and nope - all booked! Looks like it will be jam packed!

We are driving down and we bought a new van two days ago for the trip. Now I have to learn where all the "bells and whistles" are. Right now the kids are going crazy because I can barely figure out how to open the doors!

It should be a nice ride though - it seats 8, has a cooler built into the front, and the XM radio the kids are crazy about. The only stipulation I made when we started looking was that it absolutely, postively had to have a DVD player. DH didn't think it was a big deal, but I told him we have to have the DVD player on (in our old van) just to drive to school. Do you really think I'm driving all the way to Florida without it? Men!

Sounds like Heaven!!!! What van did you buy? We have the DVD player too...That's too funny we have to play a movie for our ride to school as well...only about 7 mins down the road!:rotfl:

We bought a Honda Odessey EX-L.

DH doesn't drive the kids to school so he doesn't realize that some mornings the dvd is the only thing that stands between a) the kids killing each other or b) me killing one of the kids.

Just a reminder to keep the posts and topics on the Y & BC ...

:)

Thanks.

I'm so jealous of those leaving soon for WDW!!! Enjoy! I hope each family/person has a Magical Trip.
Robyn - Congrats on the new van! That'll make your trip much nicer!!!

Did someone complain? :confused3

We are a sharing community here on the BC/YC thread and at times and at first glances, posts may not look like they are related but in the long run they prove helpful to the people that read this board.

The original posters were talking about their drive down to the Beach Club/Yacht Club and information posted here will be helpful for others looking at how to cope with the drive to the BC/YC.

I'm honestly trying not to be argumentative here, I'm only trying to point out that this conversation will eventually come full circle with information like "How much does it costs to park at the BC/YC" and "Where are the parking lots, are they far in relation to our rooms" etc type of questions.

For some of us more experienced with the BC/YC the information about the resort is often related in a conversation that sparks questions rather than a post with a direct question, can some one answer this...

Peace.

Love that. I test drove one bought a Sienna-better deal. You are so brave driving to Y&B Club with kids. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Y&B Club! I'm jealous you are leaving so soon. Have a safe & magical trip. Please post your review when you get back.

I'm wondering too if someone complained I don't think anyone could of summed up the confusion better than MM?!?

I forgot to say that I did also mention in the survey that we would really like them to bring back Bingo by the pool because we really liked it!

In less than 180 days we will be back at the Beach Club again!! Time to make the ADRs. I only did LeCellier lunch so far.

When we drive down to the Yacht Club this summer, we will be in our Dodge Grand Caravan with dual DVDs, plus LOTS of activities for the kids to do on the way down. I'm comprising a "keep occupied" bag for them each. And we're doing 2 stops down and 2 stops back.

And we're seriously considering bringing a small toaster for bagels we will buy from the Marketplace at the Beach Club.

Really good question. I don't think there are any specialty stores at the Beach Club, and I'm embarassed to say I haven't even been over to the Yacht Club lobby except to enter the Captain's Grille.

Is there a Gift Shop over at the YC? Items but no food? If so, what's it called?

There is a gift shop at YC (can't remember the name off hand). It doesn't sell food like the BC MARKETPLACE, but has some very nice items.

When I stayed YC years ago there was a shop with really nice resort wear for sale , no idea what the name was now or if it is even there still :confused3
