I know this may sound selfish, but am I the only one who wishes this info was not posted here on the DIS? I really don't want that secret getting out, causing a rush of people "crashing" SAB because of it

I sort of feel the same way, but then think of it as this. If it did "get out," I am sure it would be noticeable, and the room key checks would be in full force.

Of course, maybe those who were really concerned about this could write an email to the GM at YC/BC stating what was said, and maybe a crackdown would happen.

When we were there this past weekend there were still guards at the entrances by the slide and by Beaches and Cream and they were checking bands at 5ish. We were checked after we made a run for shelter to the arcade area after a quick rain.

Good to know! Perhaps they only stop checking as the pool empties out? (Hopefully)

Dawn Maree, I am sure you are right that if this did get out and it got crowded, they would keep enforcing card check from open to closing. But I feel for the poor people who are there in the interim while they figure out what is happening (and very selfishly, I hope that isn't us! )

Pfbbtttt!! Totally NOT selfish. I feel the same way. Anyone staying at YC/BC resort is under the impression that SAB is NOT for sharing!

I know you asked Marlton Mom for the safe (sorry not trying to step on your toes) but here is a pic I took w/ my iPad in it for size:

Ouch ouch ouch!! And I was wearing sandals too.
For all the Mom's on the board, remember when it got warm out and you started wearing sandals and all of a sudden the kids were stepping on your toes like there was no tomorrow? Children that had never ever stepped on your feet any other time were compelled to stomp away during open toe season! What is up with that. In my house EVEN THE DOG does it! [

I'm laughing my head off because my Mom was the Queen of ziploc bags in her purse for buffets. She would come with us on vacation to Wildwood, NJ and they had a great restaurant with a really nice breakfast buffet.

When Evan was little (he's 12 now) we used to bring one of those padded, soft side coolers with us to restaurants. It had his toys in it to keep him occupied while we ate but on more than a few occasions the buffet wait staff would raise an eyebrow or two when they saw us walk in with that.

Anyone know where you can make smooshed souvenir pennies at BC/YC. I think it is near or in the arcade, but I am looking for confirmation.
heatherbelle- that might be a good addition to your scavenger hunt, if it has not been suggested yet.

Two trips ago I was all hot to go on the penny press march, figuring all the money it would save me from not buying those pins. I was told that the desk clerks at the hotel could get you a list with all the locations of the penny press machines. Ha! I figured half my work was done, but when I got the list I discovered that most of them were located in the gift shops. (insert that 'The Price is Right' sound you hear when you lose the game).

Well I just got a DisneySurvey about our time at the Yacht Club.

Just wondering what Disney does, if anything, with this information.

Sadly, it was not a stellar review of the resort. It was, unfortunately, more of the problems we encountered.

I list the broken ice machine, broken mickey lamp in the room, and the worst was the hole in the ceiling with the wire hanging slightly down.

I also had to comment about problems with the ramp at the YC/BC dock for x wide wheelchairs. I always usually just got out of the chair and dh folded it up as the wheels wont go over the ramp. The HS studio dock wa fine though.

I also told them we didnt enjoy our meal at the Captains Grille, but did say our server was really nice.

They didnt ask about our beach club stay.

Still need to do a total review for the boards.

Sorry to see you didn't have a "stellar" stay. Hope it didn't ruin the whole trip for you. Last time I was at a hotel and the ice machine on the floor wasn't working I called room service and told them to bring me some ice and that there wouldn't be any charge for it since the machine was broken. They complied.

We know WDW listens to results from surveys (i.e., return of resort specific merchandise). I'm confident that your issues will be investigated (but then summarily dismissed if maintenance has resolved the problems). However, don't let this deter anyone from responding to these surveys. They do listen.

Aw thank you. On the days that Teena is working I plan on making myself a menace by stalking her in the lobby and seeing If I can get her to pin trade for safety pins or bowling pins. The rules that I read said a cast member HAS to Trade and I'm sure that some unsuspecting child would love to come back from Disney World with a Bowling pin they traded at the Beach Club!

Oh no, not again ... I had a poor guy upset on Sunday ... he tried to trade me a Universal pin. The rules say "an official Disney pin" is all I can take.

I can't wait to meet you and the family in person although I feel like we are long time friends already. You've helped me so much ... today I got those items you suggested at Walmart ... I think they will help with my blisters/rash!

I just got done packing for my trip. Jeanne says she's exhausted and can't see her feet anymore so between the two of us in our various states of exhaustion, we should be able to get done what a "normal" person gets done. Then back to the last two weeks of the "zapping" before I'm flying back out for Peanut's arrival.
