HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to my new American friends!

Going to try to call to change my reservation to CL today. DH doesn't have to know yet, does he????? (We both work, so I'm only spending HALF his money. LMAO) Seriously, given the amount of time that we plan to spend on resort, I calculated that we could come close to breaking even. Plus I heard from the cousins and they are booking the exact same dates, CL. Having their kids be able to go into the Lounge and my kids not is NOT ON.

Could someone please verify that the YC Lake (Lagoon) View (CL) rooms are in fact straight-on views of Crescent Lake.

Do all of these rooms provide a good view of the fireworks?

I would also love to hear from anyone who has stayed in a LV YC room as to whether you definitely think it was worth the extra money over a STD View room. Unfortunately, the GV/CL rooms are sold-out for our dates.

Hey, wanted to tell you since we have the same standard view dilemma that I changed resorts to Beach Club Lagoon View. There were Yacht Club lagoon view rooms available but I would have had to forfeit my pin and pay an extra $2k, instead of the an extra $400 using my pin... I didn't want to chance the parking lot view, so I switched. I really was looking forward to the YC but would have been unhappy with a parking lot or rooftop view. More upset if it were rooftop...

I'll probably keep checking if there is a YC CL LV room available, but for now I am going to research all about Beach Club and fall in love with it. The only thing I'll worry about now is balcony. I will make full balcony my only request and cross my fingers.

Does anyone know how many full balcony CL rooms there are at Beach Club?

I have to say that there is one major downside to having our BC vacation during the last week of August. I spend all of my time counting the days until our vacation starts but I am basically wishing away the summer.

For folks like us up here in the Northeast, summer time is precious given how cruddy the winters can be, though the fall is beautiful!!

My wife keeps telling me to stop counting down the days and to enjoy the summer and it will be here before we know it, but I can't help myself!!

Also, is it crazy that I am already starting to get depressed thinking about our departure day on August 29th and how crappy I will feel? That's not normal is it?

Sorry, just had to throw this stuff out there to my fellow WDW/YC/BC lovers because I knew you all could relate!!

If it's not normal there are a lot of us in TROUBLE. We are counting down our days and we are not going until Sept 2012 . That means one more LONGH PA winter and a short summer and we will be at the BC . This will be our 1st time so I am excited and nervous.

Enjoy your trip I hope the next 50 days go fast we have family going in 4 days and they have the coming home blues already.

I know exactly how you feel, we leave in 26 days, it is a surprise trip for the kids and was suppose to be the "trip of a life time" staying at BC CL in a deluxe room, but we have reservations for next August also, but at POP. I know I won't be as sad when we leave knowing I have another trip planned, but I don't know if I will be able to go back to POP after this vacation. I am trying to figure out if I can afford the deluxe room 2 years in a row.

To go from BC to Pop is tough! Teena can back me up on that one! She had to console me and walk me to a manager to see if there were any rooms available at the BC when I was staying Pop for a work conference in July.

I walked into the BC lobby in a daze and didn't want to leave, LOL!!

Friday I came home from work to find a receipt for a registered letter in my mailbox - meaning that since I'd missed the mailman I'd have to go wait in line on Saturday mornng at the post office, never mind that my 2 teenaged sons has been home all day and slept through the doorbell...

I don't know about you but a registered letter strikes fear in my heart as they're usually bad news... more taxes to pay, traffic violation... In France we have these hiddden radars that take a pictue of your license plate and you conveniently receive your speeding ticket in the mail ( now of course I personally have never had one of these but my husband...). So Saturday bright and early I trudge to the post office dreading the contents of this mysterious letter...
It turned out to be the best letter ever... Our vouchers for our Beach Club stay in August!!! Disney Travel Co UK sent them by registered mail§§§

We will be there August 5-13 so if you"re there at the same time and hear a family of 5 speaking a mixture of French and English ( often within the same sentence!)- that's probably us -so please say hello!
Arrival dinner booked at O'hana - then off to MK for EMH!

Thanks for letting me share my excitement. People over here look at me like I'm crazy ( "But didn't you take your kids to disney 2 years ago???) but I know the people on this board will understand

Oh yes and Teena - if you read this I understand you're from the philly area - me too originally and will be spending 2 weeks there before Florida - if you
crave tastykakes I'd be happy to bring you some... (I'd offer to bring a cheesesteak but I don't think that would travel too well...)

It is very normal.

I get the post planning blues. So to fix it I start planning for the next trip prior to the first one begining.

So I fully understand the dreaded end of vacations.

The "older" I get, the more I realize how I dislike the Northeast winters!!!!!!!!!!

My DS and I are both avid walkers and love the outside in the spring and summer! Much prefer hot weather to the duldrums/grey days of winters up here! I agree, I love October weather as well, but once November sets in, I'm not a happy camper!

I savor the summers more and more as each day passes! I rise early and just love summer! We're hopefully headed "south" in about 7 years! We're hoping to downsize and have 2 smaller homes, one up here for the kids and future grandkids and 1 somewhere in the south!

Can't wait to our mid August vaca!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 night post cruise..Can't wait for Stormalong Bay!!!!Just love it!!!!!!!!

MM, we worked out the care of the noodle family,

Forever11709 will have the care of the family until 7/14, we will share our vacation with The Noodles from 7/14- 7/21. We will then drop them at bell services for a well needed rest before we leave on 7/21 (unless someone wants then for a day) and then Jultomzach will get temporary custody of our vacation buddies on 7/23.

The Noodle Family is living our dream of living at BC!! LOL

According to my notes, most of the BC Water View Concierge Rooms have full balconies. I think there are 3 (out of 20 plus rooms in that category) that have the smaller balconies.

I say countdown, but also enjoy those precious few beautiful summer days!

Also I cry the first time I get to MK every visit, and I cry on our departure day....I can't help it! Just such a beautiful, magical place so I think you are not crazy there either!!!

We booked GV CL. For those who know, it looks to me like there are only 9 garden view club level rooms and they are in the courtyards (the courtyard at the main entrance/exit to the dock and pool and the one with the volleyball net), am I correct? It also looks like they all have full balcony's. Is that also correct? I do have full balcony as my only request. We are planning to have a lot of "down" time and spending most of our time enjoying the resort. There are five of us, including 3 teens, just hoping for a little extra space Thanks for the info
