In-room Coffee makers, the Ultimate Thread

Updated w/ BLT refurb info

Value - Cuisinart flat pods

Moderate - POR, POFQ, CBR - Cuisinart flat pods
Moderate - CSR - Keurig single-cup machines

Deluxe - Keurig single-cup machines

Swan/Dolphin - Mr Coffee (flat pods)
Swan Reserve - Keurig single cup machines

Large CL suites at Deluxes - may have both a Keurig & a Nespresso)

Deluxe Villas - VGF, PVB, BRV, BWV, BCV, VRB, C@FW, HHI, VB, Aulani - Keurig Duos in most villas (studios usually have single cup Keurigs)
** Big Pine Key @ VGF has Cuisinart flat pod machines for some unknown reason
Deluxe Villas - SSR, OKW, AKL-K - regular coffee makers - 4 cup basket in studios, 8 cup basket in larger villas (some OKW grand villas may have Keurig Duos)
Deluxe Villas - AKL-J - conflicting reports, some rooms have old style basket coffee makers, some have Keurigs (sorry, I have no idea which are the majority)
Deluxe Villas - CCV - currently in process of soft goods refurb until Sept 2025, refurbed rooms have Keurigs similar to other recently refurbed villas (rooms that haven’t been refurbed yet will still have basket style)
Deluxe Villas - RIV - most rooms have old style basket coffee makers, Tower Studios have Keurigs
Deluxe Villas - BLT - so far, reports seem to indicate that all of the new rooms have Keurig Duos, including studios (non-refurbed rooms may still have an older basket style)

*** at any resort where at least some rooms have Keurig machines (either regular or Duo) you can always ask for a Keurig from housekeeping and if they have a spare they’ll bring you one
*** the same applies if you need a larger or smaller basket style coffee maker, or if you have a single Keurig and need a Duo

Are you still getting reports of flat pods at Grand Floridian Big Pine Key? The Grand Floridian rooms have had the Keurig k-cups for many years. DVC rooms have never had the flat pods. I think someone sent a picture of the flat pod machine, but could it have been an exception instead of the rule?

I haven’t seen any reports from sooner than 2 months ago, but at that point it was still the flat pod coffee makers like in the values and moderates. If you look at the room tour videos online, those machines appear in all of them. No idea why, but there it is.

Our last day at GFV Big Pine Key was March 29th, and they still had the flat pod machines.

I'd originally planned to request a Keurig, but I stuck with the flat pods and the machine provided in the room. They were just ok, a little weak for my liking, but it did the job.

Stayed in Big Pine Key 3 times. Right after they opened in the lake view or water view or whatever it's called now. Had a Keurig.

Next, had the flat pods in a standard view (now called resort view). Third visit with family, resort view again with the flat pods.

Much prefer the Keurig Duo.

If I'm not mistaken, Saratoga Springs recently went through updates. After that, are the 1 BR Villas still drip coffee makers?

The SSR updates were during/just after Covid. So they still have regular drip pots, not the nice new duos.

As CarolynFH said, still drip pots as far as reports go. We’re at SSR in early June, though, so I’ll pop back and confirm then.

Well, I like a good size cup of coffee.

I find in a Keurig the 6 oz setting comes out pretty good, when you move to the 8 oz it's weak coffee and when you go to the 12oz setting, which is the one I want, it really is just brown water.
Agree! I do two 6 oz brews to make it stronger!

Okay, so I know there are dozens of threads on “what type of coffee maker is at X” but I am hoping people will help me out with creating an Ultimate thread listing all the resorts’ coffeemakers to consolidate all the info.

Please post what kind of coffee maker you had, ideally recent, at least since the last refurb at that resort, and post a pic if you have one.

Example:
YC/BC have regular Keurig machines in the regular and club rooms, may also have a Nespresso in bigger suites
BCV have Keurig duos (pot and single cup) in the 1 bedroom villas and up. Not sure what the BCV studios have.
Poly studios have a regular Keurig
OKW 1 bedroom villas and up have regular coffee makers, I think taking basket style filters (didn’t use it)

If you encounter different coffee-makers than what’s listed, please post an update in this thread, with pics if you have them, especially as rooms are refurbed (eg BLT) and new coffeemakers may or may not appear.

Editing to add that the most up-to-date summary is available in Post #102
Don’t forget that no matter what type of in room coffee machine, ALL Disney owned resorts serve Joffrey’s.

Last time I was at Dolphin (April 2025) the "flat pod" machines were the kind that had the disposable basket. They used to have Starbucks (which I hate) but now just have some generic coffee, not Joffrey's. I bring some extra pods so have to clean out the disposable basket and stick it in a drawer so housekeeping doesn't throw it away so I can make more than one cup a day. Yes, you can ask for more to be brought to your room but in the morning when I'm awake at 4:30, the two provided are not enough. I can't remember if you have to have the empty basket in the machine to make a cup of tea so the stream will come out even instead of all over the place.
