Hello all,

My DH and I are looking forward to our stay at BC in October. We would like to visit the BW and were wondering if there is any place we can just sit and have a drink without ordering food?

TIA

I've heard great things about the Belle Vue Lounge for a quiet drink at the Boardwalk. Many posters have also mentioned Jelly Rolls for a fun atmosphere! We haven't been to either, but we asked a similar question earlier this month and these two were among the leaders!

Are you able to take a "Sunken Treasure" over to one of the lounge chairs on the beach?

And also,

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39969397&postcount=1

In one of the food market pictures I saw gallon jugs of what looked like water next to the seltzers and tonics on the bottom shelf. That wouldn't happen to be "Distilled" water would it? DH needs it for his C-Pap machine.

We can get it from Garden Grocer, but they have a $40 minimum order and 2 gallons of distilled would only come to about $4.00 total. I'd hate to have to spend $40 on stuff that we don't need just to get the Distilled water for his machine....

Thanks,
Marlton Mom

I'm also interested in if anyone knows if there's an easy spot to grab "distilled water" -- my DH also uses a CPAP, has helped his sleep apnea enormously. ALthough we'll have a car, so can venure off property if necessary, but we like to immerse in the "Disney cocoon" as much as possible, so if we can get away w/o driving we do!

One random question: where can you fill the resort refillable mugs at BC? I know there must be a place, I'm just not sure where & since my vacation is just 4 short months away, I must know. :lmao:

I carried my Sunken Treasure with me around after our pool time, and I've toted beverages around the grounds in the past, but I'm not sure about official policy.

As for distilled water, I zoomed in as close as possible in iphoto on that picture. I can zoom in really close on these photos, but still couldn't see the fine print. So I'm not sure, but it's zephyrhills spring water and here's the website: http://www.zephyrhillswater.com/Default.aspx. I don't think it's distilled, but maybe this info will help.

We refilled ours at the BC Marketplace and Hurricane Hanna's installed a self-serve refill station last summer! It's near the pool, but you can easily access it from the path around Crescent Lake without entering the pool area:

I also understand you can refill the mugs at Beaches and Cream, but we haven't done that yet. Maybe someone else can confirm!

I am so excited! I booked my first BC stay for June 7 - June 11. It will also be my first split stay. My sister and I are staying June 3-7 at the WL.

What a wonderful thread this has been to read. Everyone is so friendly and helpful which will be great as I start to have questions prior to my stay.

Welcome to our family!:goodvibes

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall buying a beer at a food stand and sitting on a Boardwalk bench watching the fireworks. There's plenty of places to sit but pending on time of year it gets very busy around fireworks time

Hello Everyone,
I love this thread :thumbsup2

I'm thinking about staying at BC the pool looks great :lovestruc

What kinda of room request should I put in?

I would love all suggestions.

Thanks :goodvibes

I have a (Hopefully) funny story about paying towards my Beach Club reservation balance. I went online and after many conniptions with the reservations system not recognizing my name, :confused3 I managed to get logged in to the page where you can pay by credit card.

I submitted the payment info and the Disney reservations system got stuck. It sent over 600 emails to my email account verifying the partial payment.

I have checked with the credit card company and so far only 1 charge has showed up, but think of the Disney Dollars I could have earned! :thumbsup2

If all those charges went through, the grand total would have been one million, five hundred thousand dollars, which would be just slightly over my credit card limit. ;)

I would have earned 15,000 Disney Dollars on this transaction however. I wonder how many "Sunkin Treasures" I would have had to buy my husband with those Disney Dollars in an effort to calm him down when that bill came in the mail. :rotfl2:

Great question about the refillable mugs! I've never used one at the resort, so I am not positive. Once some folks confirm the answer, I'll put the info upfront in both the restaurant page and the FAQ section.

I believe you can buy and refill mugs at the Ale & Compass Lounge at the YC, self-serve at Hurricane Hanna's, Beaches and Cream (take out window? self-serve? anyone know) and at the Beach Club Marketplace. Any place else?

Thanks everyone who is keeping the guest lists. I will update them on the front page tomorrow.

Just getting in from theater rehearsal. My boys have been performing in community theater for a few years. The current production is Canterbury Tales or Geoff Chaucer's Flying Circus- a Monty-Python style version of the classic tale. So I offered to understudy for the role of the Cook and as soon as I did, the director informed me that the original actress had accepted a role with another company. So I make my theatrical debut in a month.

Congratulations! You'll have to post a video of the performance on Youtube so we can sing your praises! :dance3:

Yeah - just booked Yacht Club - Concierge Level for our annual October trip! We loved the BC 2 years ago but got a deal on the BWI last year so switched. This year we decided to stay at Yacht club so we will have stayed at all of the EPCOT area resorts (ok techinically we will have not stayed at the swan yet but we have stayed at the dolphin) . Looking forward to it.

(oct 8 -12- planning on a mnsshp during our stay) (me, my mom, and ds13)
