Where would you recomend for a basic eggs and toast budget type breakfast on the morning of Sat, Oct 23? We are staying at the YC but do not have any ADR's...Does anywhere on the boardwalk serve breakfast?

Thanks!

I personally would make ADR's for breakfast. There is Captain's Grille at the YC and Cape May Buffet at the BC. There is the Market inside of the gift shop, however, they do not offer eggs, bacon, pancakes or waffles. They were offering ham, egg and cheese crossaints, but I personally did not care for them. You could grab breakfast in the Land Pavillion in Epcot. I really thought the breakfast service was very poor this time around and am sorry to have to post this.

Hello again! I am killing myself here with my indecision!!!

Once again I am thinking of changing my reservation back to the BC.
Recent not-so-great reviews of the POLY have me concerned about staying there. This trip is also a trip with my teen son, and his favourite parks are EPCOT and DHS....BC location would most likely work out best for our needs.

I know that SAB is having a slide refurbishment during the times we are to be there (FEB 5-10)....however, this might be a great time to get to try out the amazing Kiester Coaster slide at BWI! Another plus is the BC has a hot tub, which will definitely come in handy in FEB, I am sure!
I played with the package online tonight, and I know if I want to change, I will have to do it first thing tomorrow morning before they shut down the site for a couple days. If I change, another plus is we save $200.00.....while not a large amount, is at least a significant savings!

I hate second-guessing my choice, I hope that I can finally relax and begin to get excited about my resort choice!!! I think being addicted to this site and reading too much can sometimes be a downfall! I overthink things and it gets in the way of my planning! Much of our dining is also scheduled for EPCOT area, so the switch might be the best thing for our trip.

I am driving my son crazy with my indecision (I think he'd honestly be happy just staying at AKL again, [the only thing stopping me from that is the fact that I reaaaallly want to try somewhere different as this is my last trip for at least another 5 years!].....

I am holding off changing my ticker again until I make up my mind, but I truly am beginning to think the BC area offers us more convenience for this Mom and Son trip!

Thank you for listening, only here, do I know there are others who understand where I am coming from!!! :lovestruc

Chimo fellow sapper!!

Make your choice as you see fit. You will have fun either way

Got my Magical Express package in today's mail. We leave five weeks from tomorrow.

My boss changed the dates of his trip and now he will get there late night Nov 16 and leave late on Nov 21st. We get there noon on the 17th and leave the night of the 22nd. I am booking his dining for him and I am not putting him at any restaurants we will be at.

I agree.....I have decided to stop worrying and just enjoy.....BC will be fabulous, I am sure, afterall I will be making wonderful memories with my son and that's what is most important when all is said and done!

Hi everyone,

My dad and I are staying at the beach club from the 8th o December to about the 14th.

I was just wondering if it would be warm enough to swim in the pool at this time.

Thanks (:

Hannah,

It depends. December in Florida is chancy. One day you can be wearing shorts and a t-shirt, the next you are bundled in a coat with a hat and gloves on. Just bring your swim suit and hope for the best, but bring the warmer clothes too. Look at weatherchannel.com before packing to get a general idea of what weather you'll have, but don't be surprised if it changes.

It really depends on your plans and what you want. If you are doing a lot of travel by bus then you want to be close to the lobby so you might specify that. If you want to be close to Epcot, then specify that. My guess is you'll want close to lobby as you'll be doing trips to MK as well as spending time at SAB with your son.

Breakfast sandwiches from the boardwalk bakery sounds like just the ticket! Thanks!

You can also get breakfast sandwiches at the Beach Club Market Place, and it's a much shorter walk from the YC! They also have made to order yogurt Parfaits that you can get with a snack credit if you're on the dining plan!

It all depends what you want. Do you want to be close to the International Gateway to Epcot? Do you want to be close to the lobby and SAB? Do you want a full balcony? Would you prefer close to the quiet pool?

Hi Hannah,

WDW in December, January, February and early March can be crazy. You can have days in the mid-80's and highs sometimes in the 50's. I've watched the Candlelight Processional in December and saw many of the choir members pass out because of the heat. I've also watched the Candlelight Processional in December in a winter coat and wrapped in a blanket and still was cold. If you come to WDW during those months, you have to be prepared for every temperature. Bring your shorts and bathing suits but also bring your winter coats, long pants, scarfs, hats, mittens. I love WDW in December because of the holiday decorations but it is a pain to pack for because you have to be prepared for cold, cool, warm and hot.

The box that was sent to me is huge ... I won't be running out of pins any time soon. I think you should all keep them and use them visit to visit. And remember, a "friend" is dropping them off for you at the front desk so you can get them when you check-in.

My goodness - I had to go back pages and pages to find this response! That is good to know that you have plenty of pins.

We leave in 9 days so I have been busy finishing up our plans and getting things done at home.

Hope someone can help with these :goodvibes

1)Any good budget friendly birthday ideas for an adult?

2)Where is the best place to pick up a few beverages and snack items. Marketplace or somewhere else. We will not have a car so it needs to be on property. Is there a gas station or something at Downtown Disney?

Thanks for everyone's help on the boards over the last month. I can't believe our trip is in just a few more days :cool1:

See ya late Sunday morning Teena :)

It's final, I got the change in under the wire yesterday before the reservation line closure :thumbsup2 We are back at the Beach Club for our February trip. Can someone please explain to me what dates the pool slide is down for re-furb? We will be there Feb 5-10th and I am wondering if these dates fall in the time where we will have to use BWI Kiester coaster slide if we want a slide during our pool time???

Thanks for the help, and I am getting excited for our trip! It'll be here before I know it, I'm sure!

If you want, you can go into the Marketplace and pick out some items and ask one of the managers to have it made into a "gift basket". They do nice work and it's nice to be able to pick out the items that you know the person will like.

As far as beverages and snack items, the Marketplace has them. If you are talking alcohol and water and sodas, it would probably be cheaper to place an order through Garden Grocer and even with their delivery charge, I think you'd save money over purchasing it at the Marketplace ... unless you are only talking about a few bottles of water or soda and some cookies or snack items.

See you on the 17th!

Hi All,

Leaving tomorrow for my first stay at the Beach Club. I was wondering about the "Made to Order Yogurt Parfait $4.49" at the Beach Club Marketplace.

Is this self serve at all? Or does a CM have to fill the cup for you?

Also, is the serving enough for a main breakfast item?

Thanks in advance...

:goodvibes

Just got back and we had those every morning for breakfast---what a great value for a snack on the DDP. You do not make it yourself the CM does and will put in the fruit that you want and granola etc. It was very very good and enjoyed by all in our group.

Had the yogurt every morning in March for breakfast at Port Orleans Riverside. The CM's make it for you, you just tell them what you want in it, fresh fruit, granola, etc...They are soooo good! They are big enough for a quick breakfast, it filled me up! ;)

Thank you nancyjvanwyk and glennsgirl762!!!!

This sounds perfect for me. :cool1:

Can't wait to go!!!!!!
