I know I saw something about coffee pot sizes but can't find it now. I am pretty sure it said 4 cup pot, but wasn't sure if anyone said what filter to buy.We are staying at the YC, not BCV if that matters.

I remember seeing something on the coffee pot back on Dee's work at the beginning of the thread but a quick search didn't find it. Maybe BCV23 can report in for you on this. I'm doing the Dec list and we have an October list but I don't think anyone is activly maintaining a November list at this time. Many pages ago someone tried to get one going but I don't remember anyone taking it up and running with it.

Have fun planning!

How long is the ride to DTD from the BC? We have 2pm BBB appointments and I want to make sure I have enough time to get there. We get into MCO at about 9:30am, so I am thinking I should be to BC by noon at the latest. Do you think I will have any trouble making the appointment? TIA

Hi everyone,

Getting excited about our trip in 40 days. I know I saw something about coffee pot sizes but can't find it now. I am pretty sure it said 4 cup pot, but wasn't sure if anyone said what filter to buy.

We are staying at the YC, not BCV if that matters. Is there a list for November and Thanksgiving visitors?

Thanks!

It is a 4 cup pot at the YC. they supply coffee packets, but I do take my own coffee as well. the filters are flat bottomed filters. Enjoy your trip. We had a great time at the YC.

We decided to extend out trip by one day however, we couldn't add a day to our 10 day ressie at the YC and could only get a room at the the WL, which is kind of exciting because we have never been there. We booked a room only for the first night so we are looking for the quickest way to get to the YC to check in and get our passes. I think that the best way is to take a boat to the MK as early as possible and then take the bus that is dropping off the guests from the YC back to the resort. DH thinks that we should take the bus from the WL to DHS and then walk or boat over. Who wins this argument?

I think that I am voting with DH for having a quicker route.

Thank you! I plan to bring coffee but wanted to be sure I brought the right filters!

ooooooooh gosh, I'm just soooooooooooooo excited!!:dance3:

We are going to split our stay! We'll be at the WL 12/10 -- 12/15, and then go to the BC 12/15 - 12/19!!

My kids don't know about it yet... I hope they love it! I think I may just wait until we get there to let them in on the scoop!! :rolleyes1

We've been to WDW just once, and stayed at the WL for 3 nights, which we completely enjoyed. So hopfully, we'll fall in love with the BC too!!! You have been quite an encouragement!! :flower3:

Tell me about mifi please as I want to manage with ipad! of course it does not have an ethernet connection for the room use.

The MiFi is a 3G credit card size device that gives you local wifi access to up to 5 devices, using a 3G cellular network.

It does require it's own data plan, either monthly or on a per day use. I believe there are only options for Verizon and Sprint.

No clue as far as cost either (work pays for it).

Provided no delays, expect to take the bus at about 10:30 and be by BC by 11:30.

Definitely should be no problems on getting to DTD by 2pm. It is a good 20' ride, plus expect up to 15' waiting for the bus. I'd be at the bus stop no later than 1:15pm though.

We did a split stay in 2006. 5 days at the AKL and 3 at the BC. The Beach Club was so much better and kid friendly.

It was so good to finally put a face to the amazing information guru! I hope you enjoy all your upcoming cruises! I look forward to seeing you again on our next visit!

We are currently delayed at Orlando airport about 1.5 hours.... Should have stayed at the pool a little longer... Sad!

Good morning....live from BCV. Loving it as always. :cloud9:

Teena, it was great to see you yesterday. We'll be off to Epcot before you come in today but maybe I'll see you later in the day.

Katesdad, so true about the Christmas decorations.

It was wonderful seeing a familiar face yesterday and today!!!!!!

We're getting closer. I'm surprised we don't have more Christmas visitors. These two resorts are exceptionally decorated during the holidays.

Thanks much,

Is there anywhere at the YC or BC where there is access to computers- like a business center- so I can send email to the kids at home

Yes, in the business center which is in the YC Convention Center. It's expensive though.

Tell me about mifi please as I want to manage with ipad! of course it does not have an ethernet connection for the room use.

Hey Rain,
I sent you an answer about the pin via PM. Can you please check your PMs. Thanks,
Teena

Oh no - at least it's a nice airport. It was great meeting you too!!!!!!! I'm really getting excited about the cruises. I said to Bob this morning, "just think, I won't cry when I leave the ship after the Thanksgiving cruise because we'll be back in 3 weeks for the long Christmas one." He said, yep, but he knows I'll cry like crazy after leaving the Christmas cruise after being spoiled for 11 nights. He's right!

Whoa! This thread moved along while I was gone! About 8 pages in 4 days, but I am all caught up. I have updated the movie info (thanks, Nannette) and the coffee maker info on the front pages.

Teena- welcome back! Hope that you and Bob are both feeling 100% soon.

Someone asked about laundry- here is the info from the front pages of this thread:

Laundry Information

Self-service laundry rooms are located near the BC quiet pool and near the YC quiet pool. Another small laundry room may be found on the first floor of the YC, near the side exit (wedding gazebo side).

Washers are High Efficiency machines.

Both washers and dryers cost $2.00. Washers run for about 30 minutes. The sign in the laundry room says the dryers run for 20. Users have reported the dryers run for up to 30 minutes on regular and permanent press cycles.

We had a great time in Washington DC this weekend (if anyone is interested in details, I put a mini-summary in my trip report), but I want to thank pixarmom for sharing some helpful tips about DC!

I am getting very excited for our December trip... not too much longer now. (I don't usually look forward to the winter, it's funny what a Disney trip can do!) Anyway, I was wondering if there are any rocking chairs at the BC. It is one of the only things that calms my one year old down and she has been known to sleep for a long time while rocking. :thumbsup2 I figure it would be nice to do while DH is at the other parks with the older girls. TIA for the help.

Yes all rooms have them and they are good. Full size hair dryers in a bag under sink not wall mounted ones that tend to be smaller

The hair dryer in our room last week was a wall mounted version. It worked just fine, but it was not a full-sized dryer.

No clue as far as cost either (work pays for it).

Virgin Mobile has pay as you go service for mifi. $40 for unlimited MBs for 30 days or $10 for 100MB for 7 days. Their device is about $150 to purchase. Sprint and verizon will give you much better deal on the device if you sign two year plan for the data service. You can also rent mifi if you only want to use it for a wdw trip. Pretty easy to find info about it via internet search.

Yay! I'm glad you all liked it! I'm really looking forward to it. It's so different from where we live (Washington State) and of course from the WL.

Is it a hassle to move bags? Does Disney do that for us or do we move them?
