I can't wait to go to the BC in October for 2 weeks!

Here's some really random questions, me & my boyfriend are staying in a CL room (as it'll be our 3 year anniversary whilst we're there!) & i was wondering how many CL rooms actually are there? & i can't seem to work out how far they stretch across the Resort on Google Earth, as you look up at the floors from outside the entrance do they stretch along the right end side? & the other side facing the lake/pool area? Can't see how many floors there are.

We checked in to the YC today. Arrived about 2p and checked in. I knew the room would not be ready since last I looked most Disney hotels were booked solid. No problem, went to the pool and was notified by text at about 315p that the room was ready.Had booked just a standard view this time. We were able to get a great bounce back rate from our stay last month and figured no need to splurge on anything but a standard view. Only request was wedding gazebo. Guess what room we got? 4150 3 doors down from last time. 4th floor is great too since there is no light on all night on the balcony like on the 5th floor. Room is great, very clean. View is better than before as we can see more of the lake and boardwalk. SAB was great as usual and again no trouble finding seats. Everyone was being checked for their room key too.
Had dinner at Cape May Cafe. while it was good, it was better when we ate here before. Yachtman's and Captains Grille seemed packed along with Beaches and Cream. Lots of folks waiting to be seated. Went back out to the pool and hardly anyone there. Will post more tomorrow.

Are the parks really crowded? I know free dining started this week. Do you think a lot of people are doing free dining? We leave next Saturday. I am hoping for smaller crowds than usual.

I can't wait Teena! Although we may arrive too late to see you tomorrow (we land at 5:50pm so I'm assuming you'll be home before DME gets us to BC). I'll definitely see you on Sunday!!!

Ok we have the late August list and the September list going .... too early to start October? I know its still a bit away, but just cant wait for it to get here and it will be fun to see who is going so we can start talking about meets.

So who is going in October??

OMGOODNESS!!!
I just worked out a "proposed itinerary" for our eating plans because I am re-thinking the Deluxe Dining Plan (That's alot of food and a lot of time to dine!!)
I am now thinking I can probably do the BASIC Dining plan....hitting a few of our faves, like Le Cellier, Teppan Edo and Prime Time, along with Hoop De Doo (first time seeing this show) for supper AND upgrade to Club Level Garden View....which would take care of breakfasts!!! and allow us to stay CL still for this trip!

I just priced out the difference from what I am paying to do Deluxe dine/no club changing over to Club with Basic Dine Pkg....not much difference (around the $100 mark).....which is worth it to me!!! I think tomorrow morning my fingers will be walking again and my reservation modified to Club Level! I must admit, I am a club level gal at heart, and I just am spoiled by wanting to stay CL because that is all I've experienced on my trips to the World!

It will be so much easier in the mornings too, to just leisurely eat breakfast in the lounge instead of rushing to make a reservation. I am an oatmeal in the morning person....and LOVE the CL Lounge breakfasts as they are not overly heavy....and they hit the spot every morning!
What is it with Disney trips....they are the only ones where I re-work and re-work plans endlessly!
Hoping tomorrow works out and I can get Club Level without a hitch!!!

Well our last day before we travel tomorrow ( 9 hour flight ) I've got to go shopping for the 2 kids that are staying at home ( 16 and 18 - can you believe it, didn't want to go to Florida ), go to the library, finish ironing, start packing etc. etc.!!!!
Y/C here we come, I'm so excited !!!

Unfortunately, there is no formal meet set up for the weekend. Only a few people replied, and with the likliehood that some of those families might have an unexpected change of plans, be delayed at a park or whatnot, there were not enough people to justify a meet.

Definitely stop by and say hi to Teena and I'm sure she would introduce you to any other DISers if they are around.

I'm not really sure how many CL rooms there are at the BC, believe that the regular CL rooms (and only CL rooms) are all on the Fifth Floor. There are also CL deluxe and suites on other floors, but those would be for larger parties.

Just make sure that the most important thing(s) for you are requested on your reservation- call the Disney Central Reservation Office, or your travel agent, however you booked your trip.


Do you want to be close to the lounge/elevators?
Do you want a full balcony?

I totally agree with your reasoning. Sounds like you made the right choice to switch to CL and do the regular dining plan!

Our three resorts are between 90 and 100% full. Yes, last Sunday was one of the largest check-in days of the year (free dining started), a lot of people are doing free dining and believe it or not, lots of them made no dining reservations.

Thanks for all the good travel wishes! My kids had a total meltdown last night but woke up bright and cheery this morning. I'm not sure if they're more excited or I am. We're leaving the house around 10am, dropping the dog off at the dog sitter, and then driving 90+ minutes to the airport. We never got our DME tags so that adds an extra step before getting to BCV but we'll be fine. I think we'll arrive too late to see Teena but we'll catch her tomorrow!!!

I'll have a computer and plan to access the internet so I'll try to update periodically. My kids go to bed early so there should be some quiet time in the evenings.

Dh and I are headed to the YC for the first time on 9/3. We are both so excited!! We are celebrating dh's 40th birthday and our anniversary!! Our actual anniversary was at the end of june but dh was unemployed at the time so there was no celebrating for us.

I am actually suprised at how excited dh is about this trip! He requested that we stay at an Epcot resort for fast access to WS!! He has been reading up on the best ways to handle Drinking Around the World Oh, I forgot to mention, we are going with NO KIDS!! This is also our first trip to the Mouse alone!! So much to celebrate!!

Now I just have to wait until 3 days out to call YC to let them know what we are celebrating. I made reservations through Delta using Skymiles (gotta love that). Only problem is is that Disney can't see our reservations on their system.

You will have an awesome time! DH and I went without kids to YC in April (I had a work conference at YC). It was fabulous! We ate too much, drank too much (only a little too much), and didn't sleep enough!!! It was a totally different experience from going with kids and we had a blast.
