2010 Mom's Panel Results along with lists of Round 2 & 3 Participants

All I need to do for the December trip is make the 4x6 cards and get them laminated. Yes, I really am that geeky. :rotfl:

Now, I don't consider that geeky at all... of course, I own my own laminator... just for this purpose... so perhaps, I'm not a very good judge!!:lmao:

Thank you for all the good wishes from everyone. I know I greatly appreciate it.

Nine more days of waiting. Hmmmm. How to occupy myself?

Maybe I just will have to book that next vacation for April so I can start planning another one for us. All I need to do for the December trip is make the 4x6 cards and get them laminated. Yes, I really am that geeky. :rotfl:

Hey, I guess I'm a geek too then ;) We do the cards too...and boy are they life savers ;)

THANKS for the support everyone!!! :)

Yeah I make a card for each day of our trip. Where we will be park hours, parades, shows etc..

I even go as far as putting a general plan of what to do when we get to the park and the best places for snacks and CS and what we may want to order along the way. I like having a plan.

The nice thing though is that I am not a freak if we get off schedule. I expect those things to happen at WDW. Most of the time we get off schedule it is for some really great things such as watching PUSH for 20 minutes while my kids laugh hysterically or finding DeVine and watching her. You can't plan on these things but they are great when they pop up. :)

We really need a new topic. How about one a day to pass the next nine days?

Today's topic is in honor of the previous yummy sounding threads about cake. After all, the pictures are already in people, and it is not healthy to loose 30 pounds in the what 6 or so weeks until the trip so let's talk about all of our favorite desserts/snacks in the Kingdom!

What is your favorite, must have dessert or snack while visiting Walt Disney World?

One of my very favorites is really not a dessert but a snack. It is offered mainly in the Magic Kingdom, in Adventureland, near the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. I know you can all guess what it is.

I love Dole Whip Floats! :goodvibes :dance3::yay::woohoo::rotfl:

Oh what a treat!

For those of you who have not had the experience a Dole Whip Float is an extension of a Dole Whip. A Dole Whip is a frozen creamy concoction of Dole pineapple juice that delights the tongue and leaves the most wonderful hint of Hawaii in your mouth! Now to this incredible frozen sensation they add more pineapple juice and then serve it with a straw and spoon! It is a relaxing and refreshing way to spend a nice break from attractions. There are plenty of places near by to sit but sorry for the downside; the area near by was recently made into a smokers area so you may have to move away from the stand to really enjoy the full effect of the pineapple sensation famously known as the Dole Whip Float!

So what is your must have dessert or treat?

I might even be willing to share! :goodvibes

That's so cool!!! Do you have info on how to order the monorail dessert? I just know my family would be in awe of that! :goodvibes

Speaking of ways to pass the time (without cake), we got the Toy Story Mania game for Wii a couple of weeks ago for my DS's birthday. Although it doesn't squirt water at you, it is a fun way to get a little bit of WDW in our living room. It has all the scenes that are in the ride at the Studios as well as a bunch more levels. Maybe I will be able to improve my scores the next time we get on the actual ride and get closer to to my DH's score (mine is usually about half his)!

We were thinking of getting this for Christmas!!

I ordered a monorail for my son when we were at Bay Lake Towers last month. You can purchase them through the Contemporary's private dining menu. I actually ordered mine from home a couple days before our arrival. The cost was $40 but they are awesome!! In case you didn't know, some private dining menus also include chocolate characters so be on the look out for those!

We love the Dole Whip Floats... It's always nice to grab one and go find a nice place to wait for SpectroMagic!!

So what is your must have dessert or treat?

Not surprisingly, I have 3 'must haves'

1. Dole Whip - usually a float

2. Mickey Mouse rice krispie treat (w/ chocolate ears, of course)

3. Funnel cake

oh, and I should give an honorable mention to the churro!

...and I wonder why I can't lose any weight! :rotfl:

Twende...thanks for posting a new topic!

And I think one new topic per day for the next 9 days or so would be great.

Marci, we have SO much in common :) I do the same things. :) I'm a planner by nature, so need a plan...but am fine if we don't stick to it :)
