2010 Mom's Panel Results along with lists of Round 2 & 3 Participants

Oh come now..70's is shorts, t-shirt and bathing suit weather. We are ready fr swimming at that temperature! Sweaters are for the low 50's and such. Today it was in the high 30's when I got in my car. Had my fleece pullover on. No need for a winter coat yet, thats for the 20's

I am not sure I could survive!! :sad2:
We visited my hubby's family the last 2 years in Kansas for Christmas!! I was freezing in my hat, jacket, scarf and gloves while they were all in their shirt sleeves!!

Speaking of ways to pass the time (without cake), we got the Toy Story Mania game for Wii a couple of weeks ago for my DS's birthday. Although it doesn't squirt water at you, it is a fun way to get a little bit of WDW in our living room. It has all the scenes that are in the ride at the Studios as well as a bunch more levels. Maybe I will be able to improve my scores the next time we get on the actual ride and get closer to to my DH's score (mine is usually about half his)!

CBH..... I was justing talking to DH about getting the Wii and maybe trying the fitness part, but now that I know they have the TSM game, I will definately have to make it on the top of my Christmas list!!! LOL

:rotfl: ummm...she was just icing on the cake ;) I was showing off a buffet of scrumptious dessert possibilities at Boma...with a priceless princess on top :)

Seriously though, have you ever had a zebra dome?!??! YUMMY!!

Oh ya! Had a specially made one as part of my special Gluten Free dessert plates at Boma by the dessert Chef- posted it a week or so ago. Had and have no idea what it is, but it was a treat!

:)

A Disney Dessert Mom's Panel? :confused3I guess I would not be eligible to put in an application for that panel.:sad1: You see I am already ranked Professional in that field!:goodvibes:lmao:

When you enter a restaurant and start the meal by ordering dessert, then an entree and finally your salad, then you can call yourself a pro too!:woohoo:

Hi Twende,

LOL! That ain't a pro: that's a kid! hehehehee... So, you work in the field?

:)

Jud

I so thankful that I have the weekend trip planned this weekend........because now not only is it going to help keep my mind off of the results next week and pass the time, but I can satisfy the dessert cravings from all the pics! I love the zebra domes....yum

That very same day, we walked past the plaza restaurant outdoor seating area and a little girl was there with her hot dog, probably from Casey's. A bird flew off the roof, swooped in and stole the WHOLE HOTDOG off of her, right out of the bun! It flew right past me, i could almost reach and grab it. she was screaming, DADDY, THAT BIRD TOOK MY HOTDOG!!! It was funny, but she was crying, lol. poor thing.

That is terrible it happened to a little kid, but I have tears rolling down my face right now picturing a flying hot dog (and a flying churro)!

I wonder how many free replacement hot dogs, churros and ice cream cones Disney ends up giving out due to those darn seagulls?

Good morning! That October snow sure was wild, wasn't it? Between that and the balloon boy I think it was a wild news-weekend! LOL The Patriots winning 59-0 was nothing to sneeze at either!!! :cool1:

All is well in my little world. Gearing up for a busy week so hopefully that'll help the time pass. I see you all had a funny dessert conversation last night. I for one am a total Mickey Ears & Dole Whip fan!! :mickeybar

Go Pats! We got the other game here (Gulf Coast Florida) so saw the Jets lose to put the Pats in first place-Ya!

And can we take it easy with the use of that "S" word? I find it offensive... why do you think I moved to Florida???

:)

Jud

Now that is a great distraction, Penny!! Can you please fill us in on your trip? Where are you staying, what parks will you visit, ADR's, etc....we can live vicariously through you on your trip!! Oh, to live so close to be able to visit WDW for a weekend trip....ahhhhh, that sounds wonderful. But I'm afraid I would melt for 3/4 of the year. I hate to be hot so often!

Jud--we saw the end of the NY/Buffalo game--was it just us or did neither team seem to want to win? LOL After the pitiful ending to the Sox season, the Pats need to pull this off to lift our New England sports lovers' spirits!! :)

Hi Twende,

LOL! That ain't a pro: that's a kid! hehehehee... So, you work in the field?

:)

Jud
If you call loving food and obsessing on it way too much then I work in the field; but not really! :lmao: I do bake cakes for friends and family but I am truly far from being a pro.

Most of what I really do falls in the category of wife and mom. I have done some doula work with laboring women and caught quite a few babies.:goodvibes I also do some patient advocate work. I guess I am an all around Renaissance woman, in that I am knowledgeable in many fields but paid professional in none.

Here is the Day Two Waiting Day question:

If you could work for Disney anywhere, in what capacity would you be employed and why?

I thought long and hard on this last night and finally came to the conclusion that I want to be Tinkerbell. :tinker: You know the one who flies out of the MK castle each night!

What fun that would be and what an incredible thrill. Every night you know thousands of people are oohhing and aahhing as you fly by and spark their wishes and dreams!:goodvibes
Plus think of the perks. You are in the very top of the castle. You had to go through some 'secret' door and stairs/elevator to get there. That means you know your way around the castle and the suite there. :woohoo:

My second place dream job would be as a lead in one of the shows in DHS like Beauty and The Beast. Not because I want to be in that spotlight but if I were one of those shows it would mean that I could sing! I love to sing and dance but one note of my mouth clears a room faster than a smoke alarm!:rotfl:

Good morning all! Just getting on to take a peek and see what everyone is up to.

When I saw it was 28 here this morning I wanted to stay in bed but couldn't. :sad2: I have bronchitis and needed to run to the dr. to get a prescription to get rid of this cough.

I am now home all bundled up with my cup of soup, cold diet coke, cat and computer to snuggle with until it is time to go get the kids from school. The dr. asked if I needed a note for work. I told her not unless she could write one to DP and the kids to leave me alone because I was sick. :rotfl:

I would love to hear about your trip Penny. :)

I want to be a special events coordinator or wedding coordinator. I love planning parties and events. I am someone who loves to organize things make plans even if they are not for me. I think doing this in WDW would be the most magical of all because you would be able to watch people see their dream event come to life. Where do I sign up? :)

Oh this is an easy one for me. I would LOVE to be a VIP Tourguide! I would love showing guests (celebrities too) around the world. It would be so much fun to wear the "plaid" outfit and escort people on to rides, tell them all about Disney World. Every time I see them at Disney, I wish it was me wearing that outfit. Can you imagine doing that for a living? Getting PAID to have fun!

My second choice would be to work on Main Street, straightening, folding and talking with happy guests. I have chatted with some CMs that work there part time and they all love it!

Re: the sea gulls

That is just hilarious!! I will be sure to look out for them when getting my dessert there!

Re: Disney job

I agree with Donna -- tour guide! and it doesn't have to be the VIP ones either. The Keys to the Kingdom type-tours would be fine too!

I was a tour guide for our college -- introducing the highschool juniors and seniors to my college. It was a great experience (and I definitely love Disney more than my college!)

oh, and if they brought back the DREAM TEAM ... then I'd want to be a part of that!:thumbsup2

RE: Disney job.

I'd work in their IT department, so I could overhaul their web sites. I'd like more functional than flashy.

What great job selections so far. Now how exactly do we convince Disney to hire us? :confused3

I would enjoy the event planning too. I am good at that stuff and I too love to organize everything for a trip.

I am working on a laid back trip for this November and December. It is really hard to not organize every little thing. My extended family is requesting this. I hope they are ready for some down time. I do not need bored over 90 year old parents! :rotfl:

I have agreed to scale back quite a bit. So far I have picked the park for each day and the dinner. I have great ADR's and I have the meal plan credits planned out. But everything else is left unplanned. I have no photo appointments, no matching personally designed ironed on sweatshirts, no programs for each day (all printed like a greeting card with the days agenda on them), no special plans for evenings like Cirque or Hoop Dee Doo; just the basics. I am really hoping I am not making a mistake by listening to everyone else.:rotfl:

The reasons we are slowing down this year are: DD is pregnant and will be over 5 months along, my dad just had surgery and is running a bit slow for his normal 95 year old self, my over 90 year old mother is slowing down just a little bit, plus I just had two surgeries and I am fighting to get my strength back too. We all so need this trip! :goodvibes

Some detail planner like me, please tell me that slowing down and planning less will still make for a wonderful trip!

Great Question Twende!!

Ok, I have an answer but... Y'all may think I'm strange!!! I'd love to design and build the store window displays! I'd have access to all the behind the scenes props, all the merchandise of the world... and I'd harness the creativity of constantly changing holidays & celebrations into those displays!! That'd be a BLAST! :goodvibes

I wanted to post a brief update on my daughter. She is doing better, but can't seem to get rid of the fever. The fever is now on the low side and her appetite is poor, but she is staying hydrated. Praises that her asthma is staying away.:cool1: Hopefully it won't be too much longer. Now I and my son are both sick, but our symptoms are not as severe as hers.

I wanted to thank each and every one of you who took the time to send :littleangel:prayers and positive thoughts our way. It's refreshing to know that there are "strangers" out there who would do such a nice act of kindness for others. I am so thankful to be a tiny part of such an interesting and fun group of people. I am still cheering for all of the 2nd rounders, and can't wait to see who moves on.:cheer2:

My dream job is simple. I would love to escort Mickey and Minnie around in the parks as they do character greetings. Then I would get to enjoy the magic of watching the faces of all the kids as they get to meet them for the first time. Ahhh.....

I'm glad to hear the good news! I hope all of you turn a corner and kick that flu's butt soon!!!

Glad to hear your daughter is a bit better. Continued good thoughts are going your way for her, you and your DS to recover quickly. :goodvibes
