What a great view Veronica, this time last week, Paul & I were looking over at Castaway Cay while having brunch in Palo - I wish I was there now ::yes::

************

Good Morning Bahama Mama's

Life is getting back to normality today. Becky is back to school, and I can't believe how quick the Summer holidays have gone by

:wizard: Good Luck to all the kids going back to school today:wizard:

No big plans for me today. Me & Kerry are going into town for a wander around the shops, and then she'll be getting ready to start her new college tomorrow

What are you up to today ? Have a good one and I hope someone posts more photos for us

Catch you later :)

Thanks Laurie, you're photos are fab too ::yes::

Where has the last week gone ? It has flown by. I can't believe that a week ago today we were in Nassau ~ and it was such a lovely hot day too

Hopefully once Kerry and Becky are back to college/school, I'll be able to make a start on my trip report ~ I just can't get motivated at the moment

Have you caught up on your vacation laundry yet ? Mine is all washed, ironed and some of it packed away for next time

Have a good day :)
Mandy - remember back in the day when we were excited about counting down in double digits and now it's over :confused3 It really is sad... It seems like it comes so slow - then all of a sudden, it's here - and NOW it's OVER! :sad1:

I can't wait to see your trip report!! I probably won't do one - although our vero stay was a report in itself!! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

My laundry is done - not put away - LOL I have piles in the spare room, need to make room in the drawers to put it all away - that'll be my project when the boys get back to school TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3: Although, we are doing breakfast w/the ladies, then off to the Christmas Tree Shoppe, then I will be working w/the new treasurer on getting her up and rolling w/the treasurer crap! Then work on Friday - SOOOOOOOO, I guess my clothes project will be next week!! :confused3

Speaking of packing for next time - I can't believe in two months we'll be in CA!! Not sure of the weather there in November - Any help w/that Melissa? Not sure if I should pack shorts/pants or what?!?!?

The boys are off to their 1st day of school. We were called at 5:47 by a Southwest luggage person that they were on our door step with our bag.

Mandy & Laurie- your pictures are great. I have to start uploading mine. It's going to take all day I think!

I also found out one of our neighbors on the next block who was elderly and having financial difficulties hung himself last week. His wife was on the phone with a realtor at the time to sell their home. So sad. I'm hoping to find out some good neighbor news today!
Danielle - How did the boys do on the first day of school????? Glad to hear your bag arrived back safely!! LOADS of laundry for you to catch up on, huh???

I can't wait to see your pics! I tried to open the link you had for the castle suite pics and all I got was the photobucket page as well - no specific photos.

Sounds like you have a black cloud over your neighborhood over there - I am hoping for some good news there as well!!!

Hi everyone~ well reality is starting to sink in No one has made me a meal in two days, no chocolates on my bed, and dishes aren't getting done by themselves:guilty: I have serious vacation withdrawal, I am worse than the kids. It's funny how every cruise is different, I felt very rushed this time and didn't get to do half of what I had hoped. I really enjoyed seeing some of you around the ship.
Suz - I am w/you - I can do w/out the chocolates though - but, this making the bed, washing towels, and feeding myself isn't working out too well! LOL

It was so great seeing you on board!! We really did have some laughs, huh?? :rotfl2: I am telling you - November next year - C'mon!!!!

Suz - I'm gutted that I didn't get a photo taken with you in it (hopefully I've just missed one when I quickly went through them), thank goodness for Laurie's great little project, so I've got some pics of you and your family in there

I hope everyone liked the British/England souvenirs, I had so much fun buying them and the teddy bears with the flag on were so cute (though the shop ran out of them while I was shopping for them)
Mandy - how bout that photo project? LOL I am glad everyone liked it and I hope every time you put on your Bahama Mama lip gloss you think of me! LOL

I LOVED the England souveniers - and so did the boys! Anthony loved the bus - he was quite impressed that it was a pencil sharpener as well!!! SOOOOOO cool - Thanks again!

So...we went to lunch and then Derek had to head off to an ENT doctor. I didn't say anything before, but we found out 2 days before the cruise he has to get sinus surgery on the 24th because his sinuses are totally blocked on one side and they want to rule out anything else is in there. Never a dull moment.
Keep us posted on Derek's surgery - I am telling you - never a dull moment for your for sure! UGHHHHHHHH

Afternoon Ladies, Sorry i haven't posted since getting home but i have been feeling pretty sick since we got back. Our plane was delayed for almost 3 hours and then they kept our luggage hostage for an hour before putting it on the baggage claim carousel..people were starting to get very irrate at the baggage claim..lol..myself included. We finally got hom at 3 a.m. i spent the whole day sleeping and that night unpacking. Then i woke up sick..no fun and had to go to work that night sick. But i am back now and will post some pics maybe tomorrow once i get them off the camera.

Laurie and Mandy, Loved the pics except for the ones of me..lol..hate the one of us in the lobby..that lipstick just went in the trash..:rotfl2: anyway the kids go back to school tomorrow so i will be back in the swing of things again. Hope everyone has a great day and i will catch some of u on aim later.
She's back, She's back!! WOO HOOO!! (although I've spoken to you several times since your return - it's nice to see you back here on the boards)

C'mon now, the pics are awesome! I am just upset we don't have any pics of the twins together!!!

How did the kids make it out the door this morning??

So the laundry is almost done and the photos are uploaded to print so I got something accomplished today. I still can't believe vacation is over. Bryan goes back to school tomorrow so I think reality will really hit then.

Laurie - Hopefully we will be heading to Philly soon so we can visit! I will post a cute picture later of Ant and Emily at Castaway

I wanted to thank everyone again for the great FE treats. The kids were so excited to check for goodies! Although I have to tell you that the luggage people at Southwest probably weren't thrilled since my bag weighed 49 lbs. going home:lmao: (and probably close to that going down with all the stuff to give out)

I'm hoping to get some photos onto photobucket tonight and post them tomorrow. I'll chat with you soon!
Veronica - how was Bryan's first morning out of the house?? Was it tough to get him up and out?!?!?!?!

Yes - you need to get down to Philly - tell Tom to make it SOON! We have Dominic's bday on the 13th - just saying... Anthony would love to see the kids again (and so would I!).... I LOVED the pic of him and Emily on the beach, and all the pics you sent! Thanks again!

The boys totally LOVED the FE stuff you sent - WOO HOO!! Talk about Southwest and baggage.. LOL - we had a bag that was 51.5 pounds - had to take a few things out and put it in another bag.. LOL Oh well!

So - did your nieces have a good time?? They really seemed to enjoy themselves!

Can't wait to see more pics!!

Just wishing I was there (with all of you of course)....

I have more pictures to post soon. Have a good day everyone!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - love it - so relaxing - I miss the boat already - had to watch the travel channel special last night to get my fix! LOL

Life is getting back to normality today. Becky is back to school, and I can't believe how quick the Summer holidays have gone by

Catch you later :)
Another one back to school - the summer is officially over! The boys start tomorrow and are less than thrilled - we are going to lunch w/friends today, an Ant is having his friend back here - so, it'll be a 'fun filled' day for them - not me! LOL

Enjoy your shpping - and Kerry's college return tomorrow... I am going to say it again - I can't believe it's all over - summer/cruise - It feels like the kids just got out of school - and they are back already - and not that I am complaining - I am kinda glad they are back to school! LOL (horrible, right)

Jen - how was your first day back??? And Sarah's first day today??

Sandy - where the hell are you? Did you go for back-to-back-to-back cruises or something?? Email or call us or something - getting worried about you over there!!

How is everyone else holding up w/the reality check?????

Off to put the dogs out and get some things done before lunch - you know I move in slow motion over here in the morning - and I think I need a Little House fix - it's been a long time since I've watched!!!

Have a great day all!
Laurie

Well we are finally home. :( Not loving the piles of laundry that are waiting for me. Tori is at school and Ian is getting dressed now to head out at 9 am for his first day.

It was so nice to finally meet you all. Thanks for all the wonderful FE gifts. What a creative group we have.

Well I am off to finished getting Ian ready and to start laundry and catch up with work. I will be lurking for a couple days until I get caught up and then I will do a proper post.

Hey Laurie

So will you still be watching the sailaway on Thursday and Sunday evening ? I probably will and I'll still try and get on AIM at the same time, as that was the Bahama Mama's time :)

Why are you off to the Christmas Tree Shoppe ? Are you starting your Christmas shopping ? I bought a few Christmas decorations while I was in WDW. I can't wait to put up my Christmas tree - here's a pic of my decs

CIMG6008.jpg

The Pirate Mickey one was originally on a bauble, but I don't like baubles, so Paul smashed that part off and now it looks great

Can you believe that it's only 16 weeks on Thursday till Christmas, so that means that 16 weeks on Friday I'll be back at WDW and at the Pop Century

It sounds like you're going to be busy with the school stuff again. I hope all goes well getting the boys back to school tomorrow

I'm missing all the pampering from the Cruise too :( I hate all this housework, and that I'm back on boring WW food again too. I'm going away at the end of the month for a Girly Weekend to Cardiff (Sandy's fave place ;) ) with other UK DISers and I can't wait, so I have to shift all this Bahama Mama/Konk Kooler & Planter's Punch weight :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I can't wait to get some of my photos developed, the DCL ones will definitely be going in your project album (I love it :thumbsup2 ). I'm holding on to my Bahama Mama lip gloss till I'm in the depths of Winter and very depressed, that will really pick me up :)

I'm pleased you liked the FE stuff, I loved those buses too, though I always struggle for ideas for boys

I can't believe that you didn't get a photo onboard of just you and your 'Evil Twin' :rotfl2: You'll both have to book another Cruise and put that right :rotfl:

I had a nice morning with Kerry. I didn't buy anything, but it's great to see all the party clothes starting to come into the stores, as I need some new clothes for the Girly Weekend trip

I think I'm going to miss the girls when they are both back at school. The house will be so quiet without them, but it's nice to get back into our routine again

Yes Sandy, where are you ? I guess you're home now as Tori was due back at school today. I can't wait to hear about your 2nd Cruise (Paul was depressed that our flight home was on Saturday, as I know we would've stayed onboard if our flight had been on Sunday)

Have a great day Laurie :)

Yay, you're back. I'm glad you got home safely

I love that picture of the girls in your signature. I've got a great photo of all the girls in our front room on my little 'DCL table'. Kerry bought it, but she wanted it put somewhere where she could see it all the time - here it is

CIMG6011.jpg

I will email you all the pics soon :thumbsup2

Have a good day (despite the laundry) :)

Hi Everyone,

Well I would post pics but I don't have pics other then wedding pics lol...I'm sorry that we didn't get to meet all of you, we were doing our civil ceremony during the meet and then were running around for the next few days. Maybe next time. I'm glad it seems like everyone had such a great time and thanks again to those of you who left the little surprises by our door!!

Hey Laurie

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - Christmas Tree Shoppe - only has Christmas stuff in the fall/winter - I am heading there tomorrow to browse around - they have LOTS of stuff there, and great prices.. they have household things, curtains, frames, gift bags/cards, pet stuff, all kinds of things - I am looking forward to the fall decorating things - halloween is my fav time to decorate - so, I am looking for that kinda stuff!!! LOVE that store!

Your ornaments are SO cute - we were looking at some in the outlets and as I stood there thinking about purchasing some - I realized that we may NOT have a tree up this year - because of BELLA! UGH She trashed the house one afternoon while we were gone! She got out of her crate and went nuts - I can't imagine her w/a tree! So, we'll probably have a tree up w/NO ornaments - just until she gets better!! WHY did I get that dog????? UGH

Alright- a Christmas countdown?!?!?! :santa: UGHHHHHHHHH I actually thought of something to get my mom - a GPS - she needs it! So, I saw one in a flyer, a pretty good one, for a great price - so I think I am going to order it - and that'll be done! WOO HOO!! But, other than that - I haven't thought about gifts yet!!!

It sounds like you're going to be busy with the school stuff again. I hope all goes well getting the boys back to school tomorrow
As always, back to school = busy for me! But, I will be glad to hand my check book over to Jen and let her deal w/all the fun!

I'm missing all the pampering from the Cruise too :( I hate all this housework, and that I'm back on boring WW food again too. OK - so, I am seriously going to get back on the WW wagon - LOL LOL YEAH RIGHT! LOL I Need to, but no energy to do so!! We'll see!

Your girly weekend sounds great!! We should plan one w/the BMs too, but it would be super hard for you to get here Mandy!!! C'mon back! We miss you!!

Glad you had a nice morning w/Kerry! I am looking forward to shopping/browsing w/out the kids! Boys are NOT usually fun in the stores!!

I am totally looking forward to the quiet house - can't wait for the echo of my voice down the halls! LOL

Yay, you're back. I'm glad you got home safely

I love that picture of the girls in your signature. I've got a great photo of all the girls in our front room on my little 'DCL table'. Kerry bought it, but she wanted it put somewhere where she could see it all the time - here it is

Mandy - great framed pic! LOVE it! I really think we should've done a professional shot w/the Bahama Mamas too!!! Maybe next time, right?? LOL

I'm loving all the pictures!

Tell me if this link works for the castle pictures:
http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb91/Romanoff1996/Castle Suite/

I'm still trying to finish unpacking and laundry. We got Maggie at 4PM and she was so excited to see us. We took the boys to football and by the time we got home, it was time to eat, shower and get to bed.

I've got tons to do with work today, but I'll check back in later and see if I can post a link to some of my other pictures.

Good morning Bahama Mamas!

Mandy - I hope the start of school goes well for the girls. I love your new ornaments - in fact I made my BIL buy the silver one for his tree because I wanted it but have no more room. I'm not ready to start think of Christmas yet...I still want summer:sad1: Bryan loved the bus too - it reminded him of our trip to London years ago

Laurie - I will be working on Tom for a Philly trip. The next few weeks are a little crazy but October looks pretty open. Thanks for the photos - I need to put them in the photo album you made for us! My nieces did have a great time. They already said they would love to go on a cruise again and they are booked to go with us next year for WDW & free dining.

Sandy - Good to hear from you! I can't wait to hear about your 3 day cruise!

Danielle - Those pictures from the castle are very impressive. Thank you for sharing with us. Good luck with all the laundry. My last load is in the dryer waiting to be folded (although I am here instead)

A big hello to everyone else - hope the shift back to reality is going smoothly for all.

Well, Bryan is off for his first day of first grade. He went to bed early last night so was actually up early and ready to go. He was a little nervous and said his belly hurt (I'm hoping it was just nerves) but was anxious to head off to school and his first full day (he had 1/2 day last year). He did have some complaints about summer vacation being over and feeling like he had only a day off (I know the feeling). Its very quiet in the house with just me and Emily but I'm enjoying the calm. I am going to use this quiet time to post a few pictures here.

Have a great day everyone!

Laurie - I think once everything is back to normal (next week) I will try and get on AIM when you're at work

I wish we celebrated Hallowe'en the way the Americans do. Over here, we tend to ignore the door bell, as there would probably be a bunch of menacing teens at the other side of the door

Oh I see, so it's not a Christmas shop all year round then ? I couldn't believe that there were decorations in some shops in town the other day. I need to sit down and make a list (yes another list :rotfl2: ) for Christmas presents, as I want to have them all bought by the end of November again

Has anyone been brave (or in my case - stupid) enough to weigh themselves yet ? I was shocked to have put on about 11lbs when I weighed myself the morning after I got back. Thankfully that has dropped over the last few days (phew !!), but it was a shocker to see. :wizard: Good Luck at getting back on track:wizard:

Thanks, it's a lovely photo. It's a shame that we didn't get one professionally taken. I never even thought about it. We'll definitely have to do it next time

Have a good day, and let us know if you buy anything nice :)

I'm loving all the pictures!

Hi Veronica, thanks I love buying Christmas decorations, and that silver one is lovely when it twirls around and catches the light

How did Bryan's first day at school go ? I hope he had a great time

Your photos are great, and Emily looks so cute :)

I hope you enjoyed your quiet day

Good Morning Bahama Mama's

Has everyone caught up with their laundry now ? ;)

Well life will definitely be back to normal for me today as Kerry is back to college. School went well for Becky yesterday.

The weather's horrible here. We've had another wet Summer, and it feels like Autumn is well and truly here :(

I'm just going to town with my mum today, and no doubt I'll be ferrying the girls around too

Have a great day everyone ::yes::

Hi Everyone
Glad to hear most made it home OK.
It was great meeting most of you. Sorry We did not get together more. This cruise seemed to go very fast. Also I spent most of Nassau Day in my Cabin Finishing up the FE gifts. I was so Disorganized!!!!! The first Day we went on the Walk and Kayak Excursion, which had to be cut short because of thunder.
Then my daughter went missing for about an hour on the beach and we spent most of the afternoon looking for her:scared1: .THe last day on CC we tried to do it all( and we did) Snorkeled in the Snorkel lagoon and found all the hidden sunken treasures, then did a bike ride to the lookout tower. Then drifted around on our floats. We kept drifting out and had to keep swimming back to shore.. When we got back to the ship and I took off my Contacts., My eye was in iimmediate, excruciating pain. so much so that I had to visit the Ships Health Center, where I was informed that the entire top layer of my Cornea was abraided away. Well after some eye drops and pain killers, I tryed to make my way to Tritons for Dinner. It was a horrible experience, I was in so much pain, That I just went back to my Cabin and popped pain pills as often as possible.I could not open my eyes at all, which left my DH to do the packing:scared: . There are things I am still looking for, Stuff was just stuffed whereever there was room. The pain finally subsided and I was able to open my eyes(although could not focus)around Saturday Afternoon..We were driving home, so I could at least be miserable in my own car and not stuffed in an airplane seat with strangers all around.
So now that my tale of woe is over:

Thanks all for all the great FE gifts. They really helped keep the kids occupied on the drive home. And we always had something to snack on.It was real fun and my DH said it was one of the best parts of the cruise(Although he thought I was nuts when I first signed on)

I was so miserable the last night on board that I did not get to rebook. But that may be a good thing because we would really like to try the Adventures By Disney, and we need to save BIG BUCKS for that. Have any of you been on ABD? let me know.

Danielle - I hope that black cloud moves out of your neighborhod soon. So much tradegy. The Shepherd Center in Atlanta GA specializes in Spinal Cord injury . That is where my nephew is now. Tell your friend to go to Shepherdcenter.org for more info. They may be able to recommend some place closer. And hope all goes well with Derek.

Laurie- Did you like Vero Beach(After the rain stopped). Was there enough for the kids to do?

Heather- Loved your pictures. was hoping to peek over the railing from deck 8 or 9 . But we had an excursion at 9AM and could not stick around. But you did look beautiful. Congratulations and here is some pixie dust for a long and happy union .pixiedust:

I loved everyone elses pictures. I never was around at picture time which is OK as I do not like my photo taken. The photos of "the teen girls" are fabulous. I am sure they will treasure them forever.

Sandy -how was the second half of your cruise?

Danielle I am so envious. I would have loved to see the castle suite. But with only one half of a good eye it would not be worth it, So I will have to live thru your photos. We were to WDW 4 different times over the past 2 years of a million dreams and never got any magical moments. But we did get one on the ship:cheer2: . We won a set of 8x10 stock photos of Mickey and the gang and the Disney Wonder and 2 free photos from Shutters.

Well Thanks All for a great cruise experience and let me know when there will be a reunion cruise. Probably can't afford it till at least 2010. Maybe we can get on one of the new ships.

Mary Ellen, Jay , Kayleigh & Kevin

Good Morning Bahama Mama's

Where are you all ? Are you all busy with work and getting the kids back to school ?

Thank goodness it's nearly the weekend ? Are you doing anything nice this weekend ?

I'm hoping for a quiet time. Paul & I will probably pop to the wine bar tonight for a couple of glasses of wine, then tomorrow I'm meeting my friend Nat in town for a wander around the shops and then Sunday, I'm hoping we'll go out to a buffet restaurant for lunch (I really can't face cooking just yet :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Has anyone started booking or thinking about their vacations/Cruises for next year ? Paul's been checking out prices for next Summer. We could be keeping our 4 night Cruise (16th Aug) and possibly heading to WDW around 8th Aug

Mary Ellen, it sounds like you had a great time too. Well done on winning the photo package. Have you got any photos to share with us ?

Have a great weekend girls :)

Morning Ladies,
Sorry i haven't posted in a couple of days..been a little hectic here. Nicole went to the doctor yesturday after school because she was complaining her kidney was hurting her. They sent us to the Er to have her get a sonogram and xrays...after a 3 hour wait they wouldn't tell us the results..ugh..the doctor has to tell us so annoying. So the doc called last night at 9 and said they didn't see any kidney stones which is what they were looking for so now they want her back in today after school for a cat scan. I will check in tomorrow with an update since i'm sure they won't tell me anything again after this test. I hope everyone is getting back into their routines and we can all start chatting on aim again. Have a good day and i will catch up tomorrow.
