Gel or Powder Dip if you have weak nails

My nails are very weak. After I remove my gel manicure I find my nails breaking easily. I try to give them a break between manicures. I am going away and getting my nails done. Which do you think is better? Gei or powder dip?

Not what you asked but maybe at least when you get home think of a different path and go alternative? I did gel once and the damage to my nails was horrendous. I loved the longevity for sure but I said never again when I saw how wrecked they got. I went back to normal polish until I ended up with a “gel alternative” manicure at a Grand Hyatt hotel called Dazzle Dry and I haven’t looked back. Went straight online after it stayed on for like a week to get my own stuff! Lasts in between gel and normal polish (about 1 week for me) doesn’t require a light to cure, doesn’t require anything more than nail polish remove to take off.

(I also really like their Maintain oil to help nourish my nails when not polished, their other oil didn’t work for me though.)

I have pretty strong nails and the powder dip absolutely ruined them. They're still breaking off as they grow out and the last time I had the dip done was around Christmas.

As much as I love the look of the dip, my poor nails were destroyed! I'm also in search of something less destructive for my nails. I hate the removal process and the fact that you have to pay to remove the stuff.

I usually do my own nails with regular polish maybe every few years get a professional manicure and have tried the gel and the powder and neither stayed on my fingers very long started coming off within a few days and are usually supposed to last about 3 weeks.

My fingernails are very weak. I cannot use any kind of polish or artificial nails. I have to just keep them natural and short so they don’t split or separate from the nail bed. I can use polish on my toenails, but typically keep those natural to match my hands. I would love to be able to have nice nails.

My nails are really thin and break easily. I have gel applied to my nails. I go once a month. I keep them short but it’s made a world of difference in their appearance. I tried dip once but it did really bad things to my nails.
