Hi Bahama Mamas!

Sorry I have been missing again but its been busy around here the last few days. Saturday we had 2 parties to go to so we were gone all day then Sunday we tackled cleaning Tom's office then my nieces and BIL came over that night. I don't even remember what we did Monday but yesterday Bryan had some friends (and their moms) over for a play date then we went to see the Mets Tom is off on another business trip and will be back on Friday night. I am hoping to get the kids in bed in the next few minutes then come and catch up with everyone. I still haven't finished filling out all the cruise documents online yet so I want to try to do that and start my packing lists.

My documents came from the travel agent today (along with a rebate check the agent sends which will be spending money) Now I'm getting excited and realizing I have lots to do!

Diane - Happy Birthday to Sami - sounds like she had a great pool party. Where are you stopping in NC on your way down? I grew up down there and was just down in April. I'm so sorry to hear about your foot - I hope everything works out ok for you and you don't need to worry about it on the cruise!

Oh my gosh that is too cute, but don't let her bring it on the cruise unless it keeps rain away


I think we are going to Hiddenite, it is central NC. the place is rather touristy, (is that a word??), but she will have fun. You buy a big bucket of dirt and take it to a sluice and wash the dirt off the rocks. You can actually find gem stomes, like garnets, rubies, amethyst, citrine, and emeralds. I wanted to actually go out hunting in the dirt for real, but the foot has put a major damper on that

It is 11:45 and I just realize that I didn't make Sam a cake for tomorrow, , I am up to my eyeballs in work, the house is a pig pen, Sam has a friend coming over first thing in the morning and I can't walk very well!! Costco here we come. I did my motherly duty over the weekend with her party, she can "suffer" with a store bought cake.

Another boring day here for me, I've got to do some shopping for my mum, then go to see her, and then paint another part of Becky's room

The highlight of my day will be watching our Ship leave Port Canaveral, so I hope a few of you will be there too

The trouble with so many months between booking and leaving is that everything snuck up on me. I haven't even starting gathering what to pack and we leave for our stay at the villa in 8 days, 23 hours!

Being Pooh sized, my clothes are bigger than most so it's hard to limit packing room.

Are the evenings warm on board? Do I need a little jacket or will maybe just a long sleeve big shirt be enough? Of course, even one drink warms me all over so that should help.

So yeah, she'll be ready to start putting stuff in the suitcases on Friday night. Enjoy your day of shopping and painting. Hi Janet - 8 days. You better get to packing. It's my first cruise as well. Maybe one of the other ladies can answer that question. I would like to know too. I'm bringing a sweater for Taylor just in case the air conditioning in the restaurants is too cold for her.

Just a quick note. Em and I got back about 15 minutes ago and will be heading back around 2:40. We are meeting Teya and Jeanette after her session! Pretty excited about that!

We are so going to miss Simona. She has truly been a godsend for us. She said today she wished we were staying 2 weeks because Em is making so much progress! It looks like we may be headed to Montreal in October to work with Simona and hopefully meet Ramon! Montreal is only about an hour and a half for and we can drive it no problem!

Yesterday afternoon Simona had Em balancing on a wooden plank in the air!! She held on to the plank on either side and Em stood there! BY HERSELF!!!! We have it on video and it just so amazing!

I am really tired but a contented tired. It will be nice to relax on the cruise!

You all sound like you are doing so well! Just think... We are almost there!

I won't be taking a jacket with me, but I'll probably just take a thin cardigan to wrap around my shoulders, just in case

We went to a place called "Emerald Village" in the mountains of NC and bought a large bucket to sluice. Everyone had a fun time finding gems - hope you have a great time! I hope that dark cloud blows away and everyone is feeling great for the cruise. Have a fun time today and you should have no guilt over the Costco cake after the great one you made for the party!

Thanks, Emily loves her new boots. The cruise has snuck up on me too and I have to start organizing/packing. It is warm in the evenings but you might need something for the air conditioning because sometimes the dining rooms are chilly. I usually just bring a light weight black sweater that goes with everything.
