Welcome to the group, Sue! We'll have our fingers crossed until we get through on 12/3. The suspense is killing me.

I think that we're decided we'd like to be on Deck 5 again, if possible. We thought it was a GREAT location for the kids clubs, etc.

I didn't realize it was Macy's that bought Fields. Macy's bought out Burdine's down here too. It just won't be the same!

That funny because Macy's bought Filene's here. Our big mall has both a Macy's and a Filene's in it....so we'll be losing an anchor store. Lord and Taylor closed in that same mall last year. It's dwindeling down to nothing pretty quick! I like Macy's but I like to have other options!

I'm excited because Kohl's is starting to make it's way down here to Florida. I love to find a good bargain, and Kohl's is always good with sales. We still have Sears, JCPenney, Macy's & Dillard's, along with Beall's and Saks (which I can't afford).

Wouldnt you love to own stock in Federated Dept stores now??

Im late in this but
Debbie(44)
Don (DH) also 44
We live in Bartlettt which might as well be Memphis
Our childern are grown
David (23) and Jeremy (21)
A cat Sassy that we think is 12(we rescued her from a yard sale) and Beau we think hes 6. We also rescued him from Memphis Area Golden Retreiver Rescue.

I dont know if any of you remember, of if I even mentioned it, but I work at Chick FIl A,
My boss is the greatest.
I just got a raise and promotion.
I get paid a lot of money to sling chicken.
Jeremy (DS#2) goes to the DR Dec 7 toschedule surgery for the tumor in his back.
David (DS#1) goes to St JUDE Dec 7 to see about getting a cane or a special shoe to help with his limp.
We rode our mortorcycle last weekend and DOn slid on some gravel.
THe bike fell over and we tumbled.
It landed on his ankle.(800lbs of mortorcycle)
Hes ok and the bike was not damaged.
Oh and I wanted to buy new furniture and had even put a deposit on some when I came home to find a leaky hot water heater.
But, at least I can take hot showers, even if I have to sit on the floor LOL

I think we got into the Chik fil a topic once before and came to the conclusion that they need to open some up here in the northern states. Hey we like chicken too :goodvibes

Looks like Dec 7 will be a busy day at your house Debbie - hope you guys get some good news.

Love, love, love the breakfast mini's! In fact we went off property on our little quick trip down in earlier this month to go get them!

We are staying at WDW next month for 2 nights before leaving on the cruise - thanks to my sister for spluring for the 2 bdrm at OKW for us :Pinkbounc

Stopping at Chik Fil A for the minis sounds like a good idea while we are in route to the Port. Thanks for the idea!!!

Sorry, but you won't be able to do that. Chik-Fil-A is closed on Sunday!

Thanks for all the welcomes! I feel at home on this board already! I will actually be in Disney on 12/3. I am staying concierge for a couple of days before heading over to BWV's. Think the concierge will dial the phone for me? (Only kidding.) Again, thanks for making me feel welcome!

Pets : 1 spoiled cat named Chicklit (short for Chicken Little) and a koi pond filled with koi (we started with 3 and have over 50)
Home Resort: BCV and more to follow

Hi Sue and welcome!

Hey Annmarie... my Uncle lives West of Boston in Lincoln, and he used to have a bachlor pad on Lewis wharf..... DH and I took our first trip as a couple to Boston. Is the Big Dig finished yet??? :rotfl2:

I also spent summers on the Cape.... Welfleet.

So we know that in the past DVC has read these threads and I hope they are still reading this one. So let's brainstorm a little. What would you like to see done on the next Member Cruise? Now please be realistic. No giving out of 100 points per person or anything like that :) Who knows - they just may use your idea.

Here's mine:

Since we are going to Castaway Cay two times I'd like to see them pull in once and back in once. That way both sides of the ship will get the see the beauty of the beach from their verandahs.

I like that idea Mary. I would like to get a good picture of the Back of the ship since we pulled in on the SSMC05.

Now I will need to put my thinking cap on to see if I can come up with something good! :scratchin

P.S. Welcome Sue!!

OH NO! Thanks for letting me know, I would have been there at the front door waiting for it to open with 4 hungry kids in tow :rotfl:

I'd like for them to offer the opportunity to pre-book SSMC07 onboard. :teeth:

What a small world! The big dig is leaking and pieces of it keep landing on cars causing a lot of damage but I have to admit it is so much easier to get to the airport for people who live on the South Shore of Boston. What used to take at least an hour on a good day now takes approximately 30-45 minutes with traffic.

Lincoln is a beautiful town. I love Boston but don't visit as often as I'd like to. My DGM lived in the North End and I used to visit her every Saturday when I was a child. As for the Cape, it's changed a lot. There are more year-round residences than ever before and Cape traffic during the summer is terrible. We avoid driving on Route 3 to Cape Cod on Friday afternoon and Sunday evenings.
