I called MS yesterday and got the same prices that you had posted on the web board. I think MS are upset with people calling upset about the higher prices for points and cash.
Oh Debbie - We don't want you to feel left out at all!!! There are TONS of people that don't have all-day access to this thread. However, I'm a stay-at-home mom now (not by choice, by layoff) and this is my one way to stay connected to adults. And, I feel like I made some great friends on the last cruise. I don't know if we met on the last cruise, but that's because I'm HORRIBLE with remembering people's names, etc. And, it may not seem that way here, but I'm a VERY shy person. There were a few people from this thread that I had "connected" with and felt comfortable just walking up to say HI. But overall, I don't just go up and start talking to people, it makes me uncomfortable.mrsdon said:XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Hmmm...
I dont want to get flamed or make anyone mad, but this comment reminds me of HS and why I feel left out.
I dont have acess to a computer until after 3pm.
You guys are so chatty, its almost impssible to keep up.
I do come and make some posts, but they seem to get lsot in the shuffle.
I realize that its hard to be an active part of a group wothout posting abilites. but I guess the word "popular" makes me feel bad.
I never had a note in my fish..
Actually I dont think I ever ran into anyone again after the sail away party except for Mary and that was the CC day ane it was after we learned we were going to Ft Lauerdale.

Oh Laura - we don't want you to think that either! Here's my experience, when I started posting on the SSMC05 thread, I had never even been to a member event, so I felt like I was on the outside looking in. But, in time, I started to post more, learn who people were, found out that some of us shared a LOT of common interests and I came out of my shell! I really felt comfortable opening up about me and my family and I made some great friends and didn't feel like an "outsider" anymore. But the truth is, I wasn't an outsider by the others on the thread, I was the one making myself feel like the outsider. For me, I just had to jump right in and become part of the group.Laurabearz said:(((Debbie)))) I gotta say... I am one of the top 10 posters to this thread and I dont feel like I am in the 'in group'. And I know you 'in group people' dont see it, but it is there... and it;s normal for it to be there... most of you have met.... you JUST got off the last member cruise, heck a lot of you are posting like mad on both member threads... lol
I guess Debbie... you gotta jump in at night... maybe even take notes (I take notes so I dont confuse people) Share a bit more on what your plans are... what cabin are you going for?? How many phones are you useing?? Points or Cash... Just jump in...
I know I wont ever be in the 'in crowd' but I plan to hover just outside of it, and hopefully having some fun.

Please Laura, keep on posting! Aren't you the one that used to have a link to her home remodel on her signature or is that someone else? I'm pretty sure it was you, and if that's the case, I read that ENTIRE thread the other day. It was SO interesting to follow. And, if you are the one, then you have kids that are around my daughters (at least my older one). And, don't you live in the Chicagoland area? Maybe? I could be confused, I do that A LOT.Laurabearz said:Listen guys.... and gals.... I am in no way complaining. Really I am not. And I am sure by the time the cruise rolls around I will be a part of several inside jokes... (hopefully in a good way lol), It's just it is hard to jump into a well established group, esp one with lots of time online.... hee hee.... but I do it... heck I am in the top 10 posters to this thread.![]()
It's just harder... that's all. No biggy for me, but Debbie feels a bit left out. That is life I guess, I was just trying to let Deb know that I knew how she felt.![]()

OK, I'm not going crazy! I looked at Laura's signature, and her link was gone, so I thought maybe it was someone else. I used to live in the Chicago area too, but left back in 1997 to move to central FL. I just couldn't be too far from the Mouse, but I don't tell Chris, because he thinks I moved for him.cgcw said:I'm not Laura () but I can tell you yes to all of the above. I also followed the remodeling project. And, Laura, I don't know if you know, but I faithfully read your "Live from Hilton Head" report. I even posted the picture of Little Toot on that thread.
And, we've met. You probably don't remember it, but I do. At one of the Chicago DIS meets at Gino's.![]()
I had to remove the link to add the member cruise logo... siggy was too big with the link :-(alikat99 said:OK, I'm not going crazy! I looked at Laura's signature, and her link was gone, so I thought maybe it was someone else. <snip>
How old are your kids, Laura? Emily just turned 4 and Madison is 18 months.
I would LOVE to see final house pictures with all it's Christmas grandeur. Chrismas is my favorite season. I even got married the week before Christmas because I love it SO much. So, I would LOVE to see it all decked out.Laurabearz said:I never did post final house pictures... maybe I will take photos pf the house all decked out with it's Christmas attire for the final pictures. Can you beleive how snooty some of those people got towards the end of it... lol
WDWLVR said:Cindy and Amy said it very well. It is all about the friendships.
Some of us sailed on SSMC03 together!
Some of us met at Member Homecoming!
Then a great number of us sailed on SSMC05 together!
Through all that friendships grew. Cindy mentioned the Twilight Zone and when we finally hit a big one (two posters with almost identical board names, both named Ann Marie (the other was Annmarie) and both married to men named Tom)! Mark and I made TZ magnets and gave them to everyone who had asked for buttons. It was fun to see them all over the ship. The "in crowd" were the DIS'ers - all of us!
From the DIS meet at Pleasure Island, to the DIS meet on board. People came over and joined us just to see what was going on. And you know what they were made welcome. We offered them the brochures we had picked up about Key West, Amy offered them pens she and Chris had brought.
Someone asked David (the DVC rep on the cruise) about the button he was wearing (it was one of the DIS ones). He called my room and asked if we had any extras and could we give one to this person. No problem - left it on his fish!
I am sure that SSMC06 will expand the friendships already there and make many new ones as well.
