I don't know if you have them by you, but we have a Sacino's outlet by our house. Chris got a "used" jacket and pants, and just bought a new shirt. They needed a little bit of alteration (which I think is where they make their money), but luckily my mom was able to fix it for Chris.

Thanks Amy - I will look that up!

Way cool :cool1: Congratulations, KT! :cool1:

I like your strategy. Did the kids understand the dash, grab and run concept?

Walker would SO love to do something like this. BaB is one of his favorite places to stop at the mall.

We're working on it. The worst part will be the fact that most of those clothes are on those stupid hangers. That'll make it harder to jam them in the box and get a lot in.

And I read the small print.....no assistance from anyone.

Found this on the budget boards and I wanted to share. I found missing money for my SIL and my MIL. Nothing for us! Make sure to check each state you have lived in and for women if you have had different last names check all that apply to each state. My MIL has been married 3 times and I found missing money of hers from probably 20 years ago.

Wow what a talkitive group. I have been unable to post lately, my life has been crazy!! It's the end of the quarter at work so i never get a free chance to check, the computer at home is dial up(SLOW!!!!!) and I had a huge medical scare last week that turned up to be nothing. Congratulations to everyones milestones, new babys and contest winning. I have a few questions and wanted to let you know something i just found out.

1st the questions.
Will we still get cruise documents now that they have online registration?

How do you find out your dining rotation?

At SSR do they have childrens programs and do we get a discount?

Now for the information:
If you are a General Motors employee or retiree you can get a 12% discount on park admission. (Why can't DVC members get a discount, I will be asking this question on the cruise, not mad just curious)

HI :) hope you are doing well!!! I'm sure some of the pro's will answer the other questions but we as DVC members do get a discount on the Annual Pass - and it's a nice discount in our opinion, very worth it to us!

Actually I'm doing great. The lump ended up being nothing. I'm sorry the annual pass is a great deal and we are finally buying them again but we always bring different people with us each time we come down and we were so use to getting a discount for staying on property that I guess i'm spoiled.

There used to be a %10 discount on tickets before the Ap discount was given.
I agree with you that DVC should give both options but usually the discounts are negiotated with the parks group.

If you need a place for discounted tickets, subscribe to the mouse savers newsletter there are usually links to great ticket offers.

Hi!

1) Yes, we still do get documents. They're a bit different than the old booklets, in that you don't get one for each member of the party, you get one big booklet for the whole party. You'll also still get the Bahamian Immigration form which yes you do have to fill out as Castaway Cay is in the Bahamas.

2) The first time you'll know your rotation will be when you check in at the terminal. This is the one thing they havn't gotten to a preinfo thing. I know, it goofs us up a bit on planning booking things, but that's the way it is.

3) Sorry, can't help you with that one, I know there's some people who have stayed at SSR in the thread, I'm sure someone will be able to give you a good answer.

On the way home from the airport, I had to stop by and see Christopher and he was in a photo mood - the first pic I took while he was saying "mmum-mum"

I was glad to see he remembered me - I thought he would - can you believe he's 6 months old already?

Isn't he a cutie!

Well I have a very rough day today ;) I'm on my way out to get a manicure and pedicure, then I have to stop by the Party Store to pick up something for John's pirate costume (it's a wig, but don't tell him), then it's on to get my hair highlighted and cut. I sure hope I'm up for all this "work" :rotfl: Still have lots of packing to do - but I have time (I think).

Oh, Gail, I'm so sorry. Are you sure you have enough energy to pack today? ;)

:welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome:

Please come out and post.

A couple years back, we found some money of my Mom's this way. It truly does work. It was funds that we didn't realize she had around the time that she had her stroke and never even thought they were missing. So, check it often, you just never know.

I don't know about the cruise documents, I assume we still get them as there are forms that need to be filled out. I'm sure one of the more seasoned cruisers will pop in and confirm if that's correct.

Dining rotation will be known when we get on board. If you have early seating and want to be linked with the group of DIS'er for early seating, you need to PM me your names, confirmation #, cabin # and number of people in your group. I would need this today in order to include you in the group.

If your late seating, tinkerbelle77 is working on linking for late dining, but you also need to contact Tina today as well.

When you ask about children's programs at SSR, are you refering to babysitting similiar to the Cubs Den at VWL or Neverlandclub at Poly? As far as I know, this type of service isn't offered at SSR. They do have pool games and things geared towards the kids in the afternoon, but it's with their adult supervision.

HTH!

No my vote still goes to #3 because the rotation that Cindy put up matches the 4 day navigators from 8/27/06 which I think is the latest one out there. That would put us in AP that morning but at the 7 am breakfast.

Edited to add - this is based on my assumption that the latest dinner rotation also has the latest breakfast. Maybe I'm wrong on that. We'll see. Either way my vote stays for #3. :)

Does this mean breakfast the last day is staggered like dinner? I thought it was each restaurant having a set time for all diners but last year was an exception because of the hurricane and re-routing to Fort Lauderdale. Does anyone know for sure?

Bumping for the afternoon :)

Important Dining Poll:

For anyone who may not go back and read previous pages.

For those of us who have decided to link with others from this thread for dining, I'm going to take a poll as to what rotation you would prefer so that I can note that to DCL.

Here are the options:

1. Triton's 5:30 This would be TAAP
2. Animator's 5:45 This would be APPT
3. Parrot Cay 6:00 This would be PTTA

4. I don't have a preference

If you could please post your preference here, I will pick up the results.

I don't want any hard feelings, so whichever rotation has the most votes is what I'm going to request.

Keep in mind this does not mean we will get this rotation, it's only a request.

Thanks.

And, the results so far.......:

#1 Tritons 5:30 ---- 1 (Stacy)
#2 Animators 5:45 ---- 5 (Jeff, Cheryl/Todd, Roxann, MaryJ, Erin)
#3 Parrot Cay 6:00 ---- 9 (Kevin/Unixadm, Gail, Mary/Mark, Diana, Julie, Chris (sanddune), Amy, AnnMarie (2002), Ilene )
#4 I don't care ---- 3 (Janet, Okwdreamin, Mary (iluvdisney))

To keep things simple and fair, I am going to limit voting to 1 vote per family. I apologize for not thinking about that sooner, Todd & Mark.

Voting closes at noon on Friday so the information can be passed along to DCL. I will then request whatever the majority is for our group. Again, it doesn't mean that we will be guaranteed this rotation, as it is only a request.

I still cant beleive how close we are to sailing.
DH found out today that he has to go to Los Angels the first week of October. Too bad our annuals dont work at DL.

DS is actually getting really excited and really ready to get on board. We watched the show on the Travel channel the other night and he was jumping up and down about the Mickey pool... I am going on that First he yelled. Of course we have watched this before but now it is real.

We are having a 1 day garage sale this weekend (maybe). He has a box of stuff he wants to sell of 10.00 for each item. I laughed.... so he said he would take $5.00 each This sould be interesting.

About the kiddie slide, it is not any where near as good as the DVC slides or so I was told by Casey (I wanted to try it but it's for kids only and though I threatened to do it, Casey threatened me back. This was the first but not last time she said "Don't embarrass me Uncle Jeff" on the cruise). This was the first thing Casey did after the DIS meet and she was disappointed. She did enjoy the kids club and family pool though.

I don't mean to be a downer posting this, just hate to see him get his hopes too high like Casey did.
