Ok, I know that Mary saw it, but did anyone else see that the 4-night cruise on 10/21/07 is NOT on the dcl website??? Hmmm, maybe another DVC cruise in the works??? Wouldn't that be great!?!?!?!?
This could be something. DH just cannot resist these DVC cruises.
:sunny:

Well I wrote to DCL about the 2 day rental and here is what they said

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

Unfortunately, the combination 2-Day Float/Snorkel Rental will not be available for your cruise.
However, you still will be able to pre-reserve these items individually.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further assistance in planning your visit,
please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Not what I was hoping for but at least it is an answer. The girls just got home from gymnastics and have friends over to swim. Gotta go. Everyone try to stay cool.

Wow, that's disappointing!!! Didn't they do it on SSMC03, and they are doing it on all the double dips this year, but they aren't doing it on our cruise??? That just doesn't make sense. Oh well.

You know, I have to say....that makes absolutely no sense, and if it is in fact true, I'm really disappointed in DVC and DCL. I didn't have any intention on booking the package either way---but they offered this on SSMC03 and 05, they've offered it on all the other Double Scoop cruises....why wouldn't they offer it to us? I'm not saying that b/c we're DVC member we need all these special perks--just offer us what everyone else is being offered. It's kind of giving me a not so great feeling. :sad2:

I agree, Diana.

My not so great feeling is increasing every day. I still am very disappointed that we have received nothing from DVC. I'm not asking for details but something is better than nothing. :sad2:

I did received a call last week from our guide who told me that the reason we haven't heard anything is because this cruise is 7 weeks later than the cruise last year. I still don't buy that as an explanation, as we had several updates along the way last cruise. I understand that there is a new project team this cruise, which is fine, but I truly feel that they are missing the boat with sending some type of information out. It doesn't have to have any details associated with it -- just a "were busy planning and hope you are getting as excited as we are" would do wonders at this point in my confidence level.

Welcome to northerngirl and scrappindeb!

Stacy, Thanks for your trip report and sharing the pics. Glad you had a good time.

Diana Lyn, congrats on the great job you have done with your weight loss. Don’t despair over the stalling. You body is rearranging itself. You’ve come a long way. You will make it to goal!

Cindy, Yes it will not be a good thing to take DS out of school from here out. We even had limitations on summer vacas with fall sports here. Time goes by so quickly, they will be out of school and you will be empty nesters before you know it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON!

Annmarie, Congrats on 3,000 !!!

MARY J woot! woot! on the 12,000th post!

Very strange (and sad) on the 2 day rental. Here is what was offered in 2003:

That is absolutely ridiculous... we're going 2 times, why can't they give us a break?

According to what I think I’ve read on the Boards the DVC Member cruises are more expensive than other cruises. We understand that and pay because it is so worth the camaraderie and special perks given with our collective dollars.

It is curious that many have the opportunity to book early to reserve special things and nothing is said about doing that or holding off. I guess they (DVC Member Cruise 06 Planning Team) figure all will have the massive cancellation opportunity when the information announcement is made.

I’m thinking that they are going to come up with a neverbeforethoughtof spectacular cruise event so they are keeping so hush about it.

That’s my dream and I’m stickin’ to it!

Lily - I like your way of thinking! :sunny:

Thanks everyone for your camera comments - we're looking at some new ones. We have a canon elph, I just don't recall which model.

And I declined it and asked to be taken off the waitlist. :(
Just not the right time for us and finances won't allow it.

I hope you guys all have the times of your life!!!! Eat a creme brulee for me!!!! :)
