I don't even want it free--I'd just like the ability to book SSMC07 while still onboard.

Add me to the list of weight non-losers. :guilty: I was doing so well and have capped off at 32 1/2 lbs. I've been totally stuck, but the positive side is while I haven't lost anything in a few weeks, I also haven't gained anything. Maybe my body just wants to be this size? :confused3 I have to admit, I've pretty much stopped going to the gym with this heat the last couple of weeks. They don't have AC in the gym where there classes are--just big giant fans. On days like today when it's already 75 degrees and the air is as thick as pea soup, I just can't breathe when I'm jumping around and running laps. I just as long as I'm maintaining and not gaining, I'm still ok--I have 14 1/2 more lbs before I reach my goal, if I work really hard after the heatwave, I just may make it for the cruise.

Diana, you have done awesome!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Woohoo, Annmarie, 3000 posts!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

:cool1: I am so excited! I decided to check my email this morning and there was one in my inbox from JetBlue stating they have a sale fare going on. I plugged in the dates for our trip in October and guess what? The prices dropped again!! I immediately called their 800 number and received another credit for $220!

Back in April when gas prices were going crazy we decided to purchase our tickets for SSMC06 and paid a whopping $864.20! I never would've paid that much normally but while in the midst of making the original reservation the price changed and I stated okay to proceed without looking at the price difference. Any way, the price dropped once already and received a credit of $290 and now today was like winning the lottery. We are now only paying $177.10 each after all of the taxes. The base price is $79 each way!

If you are flying JetBlue I suggest you check your departure and arrival times. If the price has gone down, JetBlue will issue you a credit that must be used within one year. While I don't really like someone else (JetBlue) holding my money (credit of ($510) for me at least I know our airline tickets for our next trip are already paid for! :cool1:

Have a cool day everyone! Annmarie

Great news! I should check our flights again. I don't think I can get much more of a discount off the less than $600 we're paying for the 4 of us, but it certainly doesn't hurt to try. We're flying USA3000 in October. Heck, I should check Southwest for our trip in a couple of weeks too. It seems most airlines will give a credit. :thumbsup2

How hot is it everywhere? It's 75 here already and it's only 8am. We're supposed to hit 100 today. Thank God for AC and swimming pools!!

Well it's 98 right now and expected to get to 115!

And they call this the Great White North! :confused3

Stay Cool Everybody!

I just noticed that I received an email from Marriott. Did anyone else see or hear about this? I'm not looking to start a debate but rather passing on information.

Dear Annmarie:

In order to accommodate the preferences of the vast majority of our guests, all Marriott® hotels in the United States and Canada will become 100% smoke-free by October 15, 2006.

This is the industry's largest move to a smoke-free environment and includes over 2,300 hotels and corporate apartments under the Marriott, JW Marriott®, Renaissance®, Courtyard®, Fairfield Inn®, SpringHill Suites®, Residence Inn®, TownePlace Suites® and Marriott ExecuStay® brands. The new policy includes all guest rooms, restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, public spaces, and employee work areas.

Currently more than 90 percent of Marriott guest rooms are already non-smoking, and smoking is prohibited in many public spaces due to local laws. Designated smoking areas will be made available outside of the hotel for our guests who smoke.

This policy will enhance the level of service and care we can offer our guests. We hope to see you soon in our new smoke-free hotel environment.

I wonder how many others will follow?

Oh I received this too and was excited (again not looking to start a debate) as while I do not have a medically diagnosed allergy to smoke it bothers me a ton and I cannot sleep in a room where someone has been smoking!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON! :cool1:

Congrats on 3000 Annmarie!!!

MARY J - way to go on 12000!

Congrats to Mary on reply 12000!!!

Very interesting on the cruise that is not available next year. One thing we will probably do this year no matter what is book another cruise so that if they do have another DVC cruise we can use the shipboard credit and the discount like they allowed this year. I am bummed we didn't do that last year!

Congrats to everyone on low airfare. We live in DFW and we cannot fly any discount carriers to Orlando at this time. I'm sure you have heard it all before, but if you see your Senator or Congressman if you could pass on to them that the wright amendment stinks and an 8 year pull back won't work we'd appreciate it! We don't have Jet Blue, can't fly Southwest direct, and AA controls almost 80 - 90 % of our flights... so I am envious!

Whoa! That would be a dream come true! I love the way you think!

That's right I saw it last night and meant to mention it. Could be another Member Cruise. It would be the first time they have done it at the same timing as a past one. We'd be up for it but I know Cindy said she wouldn't go again if it was during school. Wonder if we will hear anything before we board for this one.

Let's see, we can't even hear anything official from DVC about this cruise.

My money says that we hear nothing about the next one before this one either.

And, sadly, Mary, your right. October no longer works for us with a junior high schooler. It looks like our days of taking him out of school are going to be over after this year. :(

Great infomercial Mary!...For those of you that don't know--the store can be found at http://www.cafepress.com/ssmc06 Right now they are offering free shipping with a $50 order. I'll add the disclaimer again that no one is profiting off of this store--these are cafepresses actually prices and you can verify that at the site.
I just made our order!   I don't know if this applies to everyone, but the "free shipping" is really a $5 off shipping. I paid the remainder of the shipping on this order. Oh well, I'm getting our stuff soon!
