Happy Father's Day to all fathers. I hope y'all are having a good day.
David finally got his "daddy time" again after weeks of other plans interfering. After I made breakfast - Mickey Waffles - for all of us (which by the way I don't do often) David took Ian to Home Depot for some quality guy time. Then they drove around for a couple hours while Ian slept. The rest of the day as just been quiet and relaxing around here.
On the other hand, yesterday was crazy busy for us. David had to work as usual. But I got a desperate call from his mother while Ian was eating breakfast. She needed help packing for their 2 weeks in Europe. Mind you, MIL & FIL go there at least 3 times a year for 2-3 weeks each time. But for some reason she was having trouble getting everything to fit in their suitcases this time. So I packed up the rest of Ian's breakfast, loaded him in the car still in his pajamas, and headed of to rescue MIL. I got her to reduce the amount of clothes she was taking but mostly organized the items more efficiently in their suitcases. In the end she had plenty of room left in each of their suitcases just in case. (Now I know where David gets his packing "skills" from.
) Once Ian and I got home I still had to give him a bath and feed him lunch so he was ready to take his grandparents to the airport. And in the late afternoon we had a local DISMeet. It was lots of fun as usual. I think we were there for 3+ hours. Ian slept through the meal so he got dinner when we got home.
