OH, did you hear about the shooting in Seattle on Friday afternoon at the Jewish Federation. Our bestest cousin works there and she was there when it happened. She's so lucky she ran out the back door instead of going to the front. I'm so happy she's unhurt, at least physically. We live in a scary world :sad2::sad2:

Ilene - so glad you cousin is okay. I have to go to Seattle at the end of August and that story sure made me sit up and take notice.

Happy Birthday Halyna

Julie we have 2 cameras. We bought a very good Canon 20D and a few different lenses because of gymnastics. It is very hard to photograph a moving object inside when you can't use a flash. Last year before the cruise we bought a Canon A520 because we didn't want to get sand in the other camera and this one is much smaller. We really like them both. We just bought another memory card and we should have enough cards now so we won't have to worry about bringing a laptop.

Ilene I'm glad that your cousin is ok. I can't imaging what everyone there is going through.

Happy Birthday Halyna

Todd is planning on using his Ipod to transfer pictures. You need to get a special connector for your Ipod for $30. Then as long as the camera is USB you can transfer.

Tried chat tonight, but kept getting hung up there.

We've got Sony Cyber shot. It's a couple few years old and they've got slimmer lighter ones now I'd like. But won't get another since it works just fine still.

I made ressies for dinner at LTT today.(Oct 20TH ) We have 4:00 PM. So all set for the meet!:thumbsup2

Morning,

I hope it's a typo, but shouldn't the date be the 26th?

Good morning everyone! Gonna be a hot one here in Chicagoland.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Up early here in Texas :) today is the 90 day mark for the day after the wedding and we needed to book wishes cruises as a treat to our guests staying until Monday. I was successful and am beyond thrilled!!!

Congratulations Julie! I know I'm really looking forward to our Wishes cruise and I'm sure your guests will be thrilled.

To answer the camera question we use a Canon PowerShot SD400 digital elph. It is a great little camera. Mark has one that has a better zoom and more options but because it is bigger we never carried it as much. This one is so small I can keep it with us all the time. We brought the notebook with us so that Mark could do "live" reports with pictures. We may be doing the same thing this time since we are driving down again.

Good morning everyone!! We got back from the beach yesterday in the late afternoon, but just haven't had time to post until this morning.

We had a really good time, and you can't beat a free weekend at a swanky hotel. My friend's DH is a periodontist, and they were having a dental conference there for the weekend. So, her DH was busy in the mornings, but we had fun playing on the beach and in the pool.

Now, it's back to the same old, same old around here. Emily starts preschool on the 14th, so we did a little back-to-school shopping last night. We've had a tax-free holiday for the past week on clothes and school supplies, that ended yesterday. So, I wanted to pick up a few things for Emily for the fall. She has lots of dresses and skirts that my mom has made for her, but I wanted to get her some new jeans, khakis and long-sleeved tops (which are hard to find right now around here) for the winter.

Congratulations Julie on the Wishes Cruises!

I think everybody was busy trying to get their F&W events!

Which I was blessed to get thru right away! Can't wait!

It's gonna be a busy week!

I hope I've left time for some sleeping! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It's gonna be a HOT Week here too!

Remember to stay Hydrated!

Have A Great Monday!

HEY THERE GANG!!!! :wave2:

WE'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a great time at Boy Scout Camp. A little tired and ton's of laundry but I would do it again in a heart beat! I'll have to post a picture or two and give a little report on the week but I'm going to grab a bite to eat right now.

I'll post again either a little later or in the morning.
Glad to see you back, Stacy!!! I'm glad to hear that you had a great time!!!

I wanted to ask if there is a link somewhere to info on screen names here. I don't know alot of your real names and sometimes I want to reply to a post of yours and I don't because I don't know how to address it and feel silly using your screen names. Just wondering if there might be a post or file somewhere.
I know what you mean, Ilene!! I still have a problem with that, and some people cruised with us last year. But, I also agree that I use Mark & Mary's website at times.

I heard about that on the news at the beach. How scary for everyone there!!! I'm SO glad that your cousin escaped unharmed!! But, I'm sure that she's shaken up about it!!!

So let's talk cameras - I've spent the morning going through last years great photo CD that Chris (and Amy) put together and I am just in awe of how wonderful everyone's photos are. We either need a new camera or to learn how to use it better. So........... what kind of camera do you/did you use? How many memory chips are you bringing or are you downloading to a laptop?
We have a Sony digital camera and we like it. We've had a Sony for the past couple of cameras that we've had. We have a 2Gig and a 1Gig memory stick, so we don't worry too much now about having enough space.
