CJ's - I agree with Cindy that we need to do it for this cruise as well. I'm really having fun with them and seeing how everyone does their pages. Plus as Cindy said we now have a great excuse to get together. Yeah!

Oh yes, definitely a CJ swap for this cruise.
I almost gave up my vow to stay away from swaps & stuff for a while to join until I realized it was for the '05 cruise. I've never done a CJ before but I'd love to do one with y'all. I'm anxious to see more pics of what y'all have been working on, too.

If you all want to get a laugh, check out this item on ebay. Jews have to rid their house of all items (chametz) not allowed on Passover. Since it's impractical to truly get rid of everything, they sell it to a non-Jew for the eight days and then buy it back at the end. This person took it one step farther.

OMG, what an idea. And look at the bidding, already over $250 for something they'll never actually get, well unless they really want old/stale food. I loved reading throught the Q&A section. What a hoot. I'm glad the $ will be going to a food cause, and it looks like the seller will be doubling the final bid amount when that check is written.

I have the purple Animal Dyson too. With 4 cats in the house, I figured I could use all the help I can get. It does a great job on the floors and also getting the hair off the furniture. My only complaint is that since I have shoulder length hair, apparently I am shedding too, and when my hair gets wrapped around the beater bar, it causes the vacuum to make this really LOUD chattering sound. The only way to correct it is to remove the bar and clean it which is really a pain in the neck. I bought mine at Sears and also paid the extra $$ to get their service agreement, as I am historically hard on vacuums.

Glad you're looking out for me and helping to keep my clutter to a minimum I just spent 3 hours with John in the basement moving dressers, china cabinet, entertainment center, microwave cart over to one area. The kids will be home from school this weekend and I want them to bring this stuff up stairs to the garage so the American Council of the Blind can pick it up on Tuesday. Hoping to have a usable basement soon!

A busy one for us. Both kids have baseball and soccer (at the same time, of course), Walker & Gary have a trip with the Adventure Guides to a nature center early this afternoon. I have some errands to run. Cameron is ungrounded from the TV so I'm fairly certain he's going to be making up for lost time.

Luckily my day is not as busy as Cindy's. We need to go to the scout store to get Nick his Boy Scout shirt and the rest of the day is cleaning and de-cluttering!
I'll be taking some time off from work in the next few weeks and doing some painting and major cleaning. We want to sell our place and buy a house closer to my parents area possibly.

Good morning everyone. I've been paying bills and now just waiting for the washer/dryer to be delivered. We already got the call that they would be here between 9 and 11 am. Then some grocery shopping and later off to a party.

Speaking of busy days, I have to finish laundry and pack for myself & Ian since we're driving down to S.A. tomorrow. Since David is flying down on Wednesday, I'll probably pack for him also so I can take his stuff with us. We'll be having lunch with MIL when they get off work - she just got back from 3 weeks in Europe and now Ian will be gone for a week so they need some time together. Oh, and I need to find some dry ice because I have some frozen food to take down with us and don't it want to defrost. Gotta pick up clothes from the dry cleaners, too.

So, yesterday I was in the office looking something up on the computer and I thought I had Ian corralled in where he could get to me & our bedroom but not the rest of the house. All of a sudden I hear a noise that I shouldn't have and went to look. I thought he'd gotten into the kitchen somehow. Nope, he wasn't there, or in the laundry room, or in our bedroom or bathroom. Then I head the pitter-patter of little feet running upstairs.

My little escape artist had climbed up the stairs without me. (We let him climb up as long as someone is right behind him to make sure he doesn't topple back down.) Thankfully he made it up safely and even shut the gate behind him so he couldn't come back down. We have a gate at the bottom, too, that I thought was shut but obviously wasn't. So I guess technically he didn't escape at all. Well I've definitely learned my lesson - make sure the gate/doors/etc. are really closed or else Ian WILL figure out how to get around it.

Rainbows are a VERY HIGH PRESSURE SALE. I got mine from the DD of a good friend of my parents. She was cute too. I realized when she called me that there was no way out... I WOULD BE BUYING...I played itt cool to the end, said no, and she had to call her boss, who promptly berrated her over the phone. The check was actually already written, but I do not like the high pressure tackics...

Good morning everyone - we're painting again today. We're working on all these eaves and trim. This is going to take FOREVER. Up and down the ladder every few minutes. And, since we're covering a darker trim color with a cream color, it definitely needs 2 coats. So, twice as many times going up and down the ladder. Oh well, at least it's nice outside today.

Off to the grocery store, we're having Easter Dinner here tomorrow for my side of the family (minus those that live in Florida). Yes I know Easter is next weekend, but one sister is going to out of town and the other is working next weekend so we're doing it early. Deanna was suppose to have a soccer game today, but it was called due to the fact the field is under water. This is a bad time of year, the ground is still frozen, plus we have alot of clay in this area so when we get alot of rain it has no where to go.

Have fun painting Amy. I had my son and his friends paint our trim last summer. They did a great job and ended up getting 3 other houses in the neighborhood to paint. You know they were just miles away from you in March, I could have sent them over to do it for you!!!

Well my day is going well. Got a call at 7 am that the delivery would be here between 9 and 11. We decided to not do grocery shopping until after the delivery. Well at 8:50 the doorbell rang - the delivery was here! They were gone within 15 minutes! We just got back from grocery shopping. Mark is going to change out the water shut offs and then hook them up.

Have fun painting Amy. I had my son and his friends paint our trim last summer. They did a great job and ended up getting 3 other houses in the neighborhood to paint. You know they were just miles away from you in March, I could have sent them over to do it for you!!!

Ooohhhh, that would have been SO much nicer than doing myself. But, I am saving myself a bundle!!!

What Mary did not tell you, we've been eyeing the Whirlpool Duets since they came out as the replacement for the ones that came with the house, but finally got the budget to where we're comfortable with that kind of $ outlay. Being I work in the laundry/dc industry, I've known for a long time that front loading washers are a better choice, but the home technology has taken this long to catch up and be even somewhat affordable. The big advantages are first, uses a lot less water and soap, and second, the higher spin speeds they can achieve, means the load has less moisture when you put it in the dryer, shortening the overall time to do a load.

These were fun as I had to lay each one down to attach the drawer/pedestal on the bottom then stand them up and do the hookup.

Well, I'm done with painting for today. I'm exhausted!!! We've finished one side of the house, and the front of the house by the garage completely, eaves and all. Whew!!! However, we still have a LOT more to do, as far as the eaves/trim work (front door area, front of the house, south & east facing side of the house). YIKES!! That just made me realize how much is left. Oh well!

Hopefully by now you've had the chance to do some laundry and can answer this question. Does it take a lot longer to do a load in a front loader than in a top loader? I've been eyeing those front loaders for a while, but while we were at VWL last week I went to the laundry room to do our laundry. There was one top loader and one front loader. The front loader, while using less water and soap, took more than twice as long to do one load! The woman who came in after me complained about it too and we decided that a man must have made the decision to put it in (no offense, Mark). It was an LG brand.

First off I am sorry if this is too late but I have some things left from doing my scrapbook. I have some Member cruise post cards, a few tops of the Navigators, one of the fan hands (without the wooden handle), The member photo on the beach, the Royal proclemation, and a few other odds and ends, If anyone is interested let me know and I would be happy to send it off.
