For the ladies that were in chat last night, here is the scrapbook page I did and used my sizzlet Rat-A-Tat alphabet. It's a Magic Kindom page from the Member Homecoming.
Hope Everyone Enjoys!

Stacy, are the corners of your family picture Mickey ears? They sure look like them.

I have a sizzix machine -- are these alphabets compatable with that or would I need to buy something else. Isn't that terrible, I don't even know how to use what I own.

If you have the big sizzix machine, you can buy a converter to use these alphabets. If you have a "sidekick" they work directly with that. Beware though, the regular price of the alphabets are $149!! I got one on sale at Mike's on Black Friday for $60 though. :cool1:

Stacy--great layout. I love rat-a-tat!! I NEED that one next!!

Chris--I've been hoping security wouldn't let any fruitcakes onboard. :confused3

We can only hope that any fruitcakes discovered by security will be left at the Port :rotfl:

Stacy - what a great page. Thanks for sharing it. I like that Rat-A-Tat alphabet!
Oohhh, I agree! Great page Stacy!! I have the Rat-A-Tat alphabet, but have yet to use it! I really need to sometime!!

Steve - I love the train! Very cool. Can't wait to see more pictures!

Fruitcakes on our cruise. Oh no. Someone please tell me it isn't so. Do you have any idea how my sister (Gail) will react if she sees a fruitcake. May need help in holding her back. :rotfl2:

PS Where is everyone at today???? Amy, any progress on the kitchen?

I'm kind of here.

It's a beautiful day in Chicago. We even saw this..... :sunny: so I had the kids outside playing today. It's not very often we have this chance in January -- especially without the snowboots and snowpants on. :teeth:

They are all crashed now. :cool1:

I'm trying to find airfare for March to Orlando. :faint: :faint: I know, I should have booked it a long time ago, but with paying cash for the cruise we were hoping to avoid feeling the crunch of airlines tickets right on top of that expense. So, I was hoping for a large credit coming to us to hit our charge card so we could use that for the airline tickets. Just found out the other day, that credits not coming any time soon  so now we're re-evaluating what we're going to do. Airfare is out of this world -- $$$$ . We've flown so many times now that the thought of driving is :scared1: :scared1: so I don't know at this point what we are going to finally decide. It really stinks because this lack of credit was nothing we did on our part -- the vendor dropped the ball entirely and unfortunately, we are the ones stuck. I'm sure it will work out, but in the meantime, I have a headache. :headache:

If we could change our trip, it might just be worth it. I think I'll call MS to see exactly if we have any options.

Cindy,

Can you fly Spirit? I know they are not at all the airports. I think Gail got a good rate for a flight in March. I know what you mean about driving and flying. Once you get use to a trip only taking a couple of hours it is horrible to have to think about being in a car for 15-20 hours.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Yippee!!! My countertops are done, and they look great. But, anything was an improvement over what they were. The original countertop was Pepto-bismol pink that had been painted off-white. So, not long after we bought the house, the countertop got scratched and we saw PINK!!! It was nasty!! I like pink, but not for countertops! Anyway, then our bar countertop (that wraps around the kitchen) was faux-wood grain laminate. Because we want to remodel the kitchen entirely in a few years (when we get enough money to do it), we only went with a new, updated laminate countertop. But, it looks SO much better than it did!!!!

Unfortunately, I found out for Cindy that Spirit is no longer flying from Chicago to Orlando as of this month. So, it won't work for March. The only option for Spirit is to fly into Ft. Myers and then drive the 3 hours to WDW.

Exactly! And, flying into Ft. Myers isn't an option either unless we want to fly out mid-week before.

Ugh! :crazy2:

I'm going to check some other options. Maybe we can fly into Atlanta or Savannah and cut the drive down significantly. :worried:

Hey Cindy what about flying SouthWest. I think you have to fly out of Midway though.

How long of a drive is it from Ft. Meyers? It's got to be better than driving from Chicago. ::yes::

This is a 1st for me and Carol - we will be spending 3 nights at AKL before moving over to SSR for 4 nights for our March Girls trip. Can't wait!

Glad to hear the countertops are in Amy - it's always nice when a project gets finished :sunny:

Can you fly into Sanford? It's not too far from WDW.

Cindy,
Here's pixie dust for your flight. :wizard: I'm sure something will turn up. I'm still hoping that we can get together since DH and I (and DD...a college program CM by that time) will be there at the same time.

And I decided to do the circle journal.

Cindy,

Also, try Daytona. It is a smaller airport but only about an 1 hour from Orlando. At least that is what my son told me when he was in college and would drive from Daytona to Pleasure Island.

Wow Cindy. In my time of knowing you, I don't think I've seen you so mad. Well, I guess I should say I've never seen these guys    in any of your posts! Since I don't do hugs--- :flower3: I'm sorry you are having the problems that you are and hope you get your $$$ pack soon. :wizard:

I would definitely look into SWA, if you don't mind flying out of Midway. I know that it's not the most convenient for you, but I've found some decent airfares from them. Or, I know how much you love it, fly into Tampa or even St. Pete/Clearwater airport. It's a LOT smaller than Tampa, and very limited on airlines, but you can get some cheap flights.

Cindy - :grouphug: to you. How sad that something you were counting on was handled so badly by a vendor. I'm sure if they continue that practice they won't be in business long.

As for flying vs. driving - we actually enjoy our drives down. Now I think one part of that is that it is just us. We don't have any children. The time in the car gives us time to talk and relax. We'll be driving down for the Member Cruise. However due to time constraints we will most likely fly down in May and December.

Oh, my! The weather here is frightful! I wore long sleves to work today and I am *BOILING*!!! You northerners are right, much too warm down here in Florida!
