I haven't been here in about a week so Happy late birthday to Mark and Mary.

I would have loved to go to a Billy Joel concert. We have been to a few and they are always so much fun. Sound like you had a great time.

Curt I am just wondering how you managed to get such a wonderful wife? :rotfl2: Since you said you have a nasty habit of embarrassing your wife I wondered if she gives it back to you? :lmao:

I can't believe it is now 30 weeks to the cruise. Please send us another e-mail or something, anything. Don't they know by now that we neeeeed information? We are thinking about going to MNSSHP after and going to dinner at LTT. Anyone want to join us? What days are better for going?

Well, I called MS today and booked the first of 2 nights after the cruise. I was able to get a 1-BR at BCV (I need that washer/dryer). YIPPEE!!!! I just need to call tomorrow to get Friday night and we're done!

We were asked if we were interested in the dining plan too. We won't be using it for the one night before the cruise, but I think that we're going to be doing it for the 2 days after the cruise. I like the idea of preplanning our food money! Plus, since we don't have to pay for Maddie, and she can just have some of our food, it's not too bad for us. I'm not sure if it'll be practical when she turns 3, because I'm sure that she won't be magically eating more. We'll see!

Sounds like you guys had a great time yesterday. I'm so sad I missed it!

YEAH!!! BCV is great news! That's where we are staying too!

We are going with the DP for after the cruise too. I have no clue about before yet, because we don't even know where we are staying. I really need to get my act together, but Southwest doesn't have Oct airfares out yet and I'd like to get the best deal flying before I book to see how many nights I need. I know exactly what you mean about when the turn 3 they won't be magically eating more. In fact, right now, Julia eats WAY more than Emma does, and in Oct we'll be paying for the DP for Em just 6 weeks after she turns 3 and not Julia. I figure Julia would just eat Emma's meals because Em just picks picks picks.

Ok, here's the first of my mini-meet summaries:

On Friday, we headed out to AK for the day. As we were pulling into the parking lot, we called Cindy and found out that they were on their way to EE to get fast-passes. We told them that we would call them again when we got in the park. I forgot that I had to renew Emily's annual pass, and it was packed, so I had to wait 20 minutes in line to get her renewed. By the time that we made it inside, Cindy had already gotten her fast-passes for EE and they were headed for the safari. We decided that we would just skip EE (since we've already been on it in the past) and headed for the safari. I actually saw them in line, but they were so far ahead of us, that I couldn't get their attention. We were getting onboard when they exited. They were headed for the Bird show, so we decided to meet them there after our safari.

We got off the safari, headed to the Bird show, but they wouldn't let us in. So, we waited outside for Cindy & crew! Finally, we saw them emerge and it was great to see them!!! It was time for their fast-passes, and they were generous and gave Chris one of their passes, so Chris, Cameron and Gary took off for EE. Cindy, myself, Walker and the girls headed off for the Boneyard for the younger ones to play. Then, the boys came back and myself, Cindy and Cameron went to ride EE (using a baby swap pass), while the guys stayed to watch the younger ones in the Boneyard.

Then, it was off to Pizzafari for lunch. Cindy and I waited in line for lunch while Gary went to get Walker veggies and Chris and Cameron found a table fit for our group of 8. While Cindy and I waited in the huge lines, the kids were snacking on the little packs of parmesan cheese. WEIRD! We had a great lunch, then Cindy and her family were back to their hotel to go swimming and we took Emily to get ice cream while Madison took a nap.

More mini-meet details to follow regarding last nights dinner!!!

sounds like you guys had a blast!

We were not able to get the studios we need at BCV post cruise and are waitlisted. Normally this would not be a problem yet they are not for Matt and I but his family for the wedding and we are now stressing. We did get a 1 br but since that sleeps 5 and we have 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) we're still in a crunch. I hope to have better luck tomorrow on the studios and then clear the wait list for Thursday night.

Found us at the very bottom of page 1. Amy come back and tell us more about the mini-meet!

Well I'm not Diana - but ADR's are Advance Dining Reservations (for the parks before and after the cruise).

I know, but you play her on TV? :rotfl2:

Thanks, Mary. I was thinking cruise related. I'm glad Diana reminded us, because while I just sent in my request for two nights at BCV post cruise because I hit the 7 month window, I wasn't even thinking about food yet.

I'm always thinking about food! :lmao:

Thanks for answering Mary! I have to admit, when I first saw the question, I was like oh, man....did I spell ADR wrong? :headache:

Ok, update #2 on DVC SSMC06 mini-meet at WDW:

So, on Sunday afternoon, we arrive at WL at 4:40pm, dinner at WCC is supposed to be at 5:20pm. Emily needs to use the restroom, so I take her, while I point Chris towards Cheryl & Todd sitting in the lobby. After the potty stop, we meet up with Cheryl & Todd too. We chatted for a while and then Chris took the girls on a tour of the lobby, so that they would be willing to sit through dinner. At 5pm, Cheryl checks us in at WCC and now we wait. After just a few minutes, they call us and we're ready to go. I go with Cheryl & Todd to our table and drop my stuff to go find Chris and the girls. I run into them and Cindy and her family at the pin station in the lobby of WL. I tell them that our table is ready and they head off to WCC while I head to the store to buy Emily a coloring book to keep her occupied at dinner.

Once I make it back to WCC, our servers were already there giving everyone a hard time. Just a few minutes later, MaryJ and her family arrived. Then, Gail & Carol graced our presence. They had quite a tale to tell about adventures for the day. Anyway, that's where the shenanigans started. A server tossed us a bunch of straws and told us to throw them over the wall to the table behind ours. What a hoot! That just got the kids going and they were having a blast. Back & forth the straws went! Then, Walker started climbing under the tables to collect all the straws, and at the perfect moment, threw them at Gail from behind her. We did get a few pics of that.

Then, Chris decided to be funny and picked up the salt shaker and pretended that he was going to throw it over the wall. Well, our server saw that, and put Chris into time out! That didn't last that long, because it actually upset Emily (she almost started to cry because she wanted daddy back) so he got out of time out after a few minutes.

Chris ended up ordering a LARGE iced tea, and he got a HUGE jug of tea. Then, Cindy ended up drinking her first glass of tea pretty quickly, so she ended up getting a carafe of tea and I ended up with a carafe of Diet Coke. Later, I saw that Carol ended up with the same type of carafe. Chris finally finished his HUGE tea, but he still wanted more. She brought him this tiny little creamer-type cup with a giant straw. Quite funny. And, poor Cameron really did want the HUGE jug of Coke, and asked for one, and he only got a tiny creamer-cup with coke (and a huge straw).

And, little Emily decided to have chicken fingers and fries, so of course, she wanted ketchup. She did not know what she was getting into until about the 4th or 5th bottle showed up. Then, all of a sudden, her eyes became as big as saucers. But, it didn't last long because someone else in the restaurant asked for the ketchup. Chris didn't even have time to get a picture, or even pour Emily the ketchup. Luckily, we kept one behind for Emily. And, I'm hoping that Gail will share her picture of Emily and the ketchup. Later in the evening, I think that it was Cindy that asked Emily if she needed more ketchup. She most definitely said NO, as soon as she realized that she had to ask the server for the ketchup.

Cheryl arranged for a cake for a birthday celebration for Chris, Walker, Madison and Cheryl. It was a HUGE cake, more than enough for our group of 15.

It really was a great time and we were SO happy to see everyone!! I'm sure that I'm missing a lot of the evening, but maybe when the rest of the crew comes home, they can elaborate on the activities of the night!!!

Oh Amy that sounds like a really fun time! Glad you could all get together!

Wow Amy that sounds awesome!!! :woohoo:
I can't wait to see some of the pictures! :hyper:

Boy I wish I was there. We had dinner at Red Robin's tonight because we had a coupon for a free burger for Jeff's birthday. Well our server Aaron had a pin lanyard on with Disney pins. Go to find out he interned this summer at MGM's Sci-Fi Dine-in (one of out faves). Well for your birthday you get a free sunday and they sing to you and boy did Aaron do it up good. He was VERY animated and Nick and I were laughing and Jeff was turning all red!
I made sure to find out if Aaron usually works on Mondays since my birthday falls on a Monday next month!

Hey! In scanning new releases on dvd tomorrow, I found this: Modern Marvels: WDW

I saw the 1 hour version on History Channel, and it was great! Looking forward to the extra 30 minutes. :)

Amy, that dinner sounds like it was so much fun. I'm jealous that we couldn't be there too. Oh well. Only 30 more weeks, right!?! Can't wait to see some pics.

hello Mark or Mary.... have you seen a points chart for the mediteranian cruises

Good morning Fred! I've heard the points charts are up on the DVC site but we haven't looked at them because a Med cruise doesn't interest us.

I was told by member services that the points were on the members site also, but I can't find them anywhere.

Fred - go to view point charts then scroll down to 2007 and look near the bottom. They are there. Mucho points needed!
