Ok, update #2 on DVC SSMC06 mini-meet at WDW:
So, on Sunday afternoon, we arrive at WL at 4:40pm, dinner at WCC is supposed to be at 5:20pm. Emily needs to use the restroom, so I take her, while I point Chris towards Cheryl & Todd sitting in the lobby. After the potty stop, we meet up with Cheryl & Todd too. We chatted for a while and then Chris took the girls on a tour of the lobby, so that they would be willing to sit through dinner. At 5pm, Cheryl checks us in at WCC and now we wait. After just a few minutes, they call us and we're ready to go. I go with Cheryl & Todd to our table and drop my stuff to go find Chris and the girls. I run into them and Cindy and her family at the pin station in the lobby of WL. I tell them that our table is ready and they head off to WCC while I head to the store to buy Emily a coloring book to keep her occupied at dinner.
Once I make it back to WCC, our servers were already there giving everyone a hard time. Just a few minutes later, MaryJ and her family arrived. Then, Gail & Carol graced our presence. They had quite a tale to tell about adventures for the day. Anyway, that's where the shenanigans started. A server tossed us a bunch of straws and told us to throw them over the wall to the table behind ours. What a hoot! That just got the kids going and they were having a blast. Back & forth the straws went! Then, Walker started climbing under the tables to collect all the straws, and at the perfect moment, threw them at Gail from behind her. We did get a few pics of that.
Then, Chris decided to be funny and picked up the salt shaker and pretended that he was going to throw it over the wall. Well, our server saw that, and put Chris into time out! That didn't last that long, because it actually upset Emily (she almost started to cry because she wanted daddy back) so he got out of time out after a few minutes.
Chris ended up ordering a LARGE iced tea, and he got a HUGE jug of tea. Then, Cindy ended up drinking her first glass of tea pretty quickly, so she ended up getting a carafe of tea and I ended up with a carafe of Diet Coke. Later, I saw that Carol ended up with the same type of carafe. Chris finally finished his HUGE tea, but he still wanted more. She brought him this tiny little creamer-type cup with a giant straw. Quite funny. And, poor Cameron really did want the HUGE jug of Coke, and asked for one, and he only got a tiny creamer-cup with coke (and a huge straw).
And, little Emily decided to have chicken fingers and fries, so of course, she wanted ketchup. She did not know what she was getting into until about the 4th or 5th bottle showed up. Then, all of a sudden, her eyes became as big as saucers. But, it didn't last long because someone else in the restaurant asked for the ketchup. Chris didn't even have time to get a picture, or even pour Emily the ketchup. Luckily, we kept one behind for Emily. And, I'm hoping that Gail will share her picture of Emily and the ketchup. Later in the evening, I think that it was Cindy that asked Emily if she needed more ketchup. She most definitely said NO, as soon as she realized that she had to ask the server for the ketchup.
Cheryl arranged for a cake for a birthday celebration for Chris, Walker, Madison and Cheryl. It was a HUGE cake, more than enough for our group of 15.
It really was a great time and we were SO happy to see everyone!! I'm sure that I'm missing a lot of the evening, but maybe when the rest of the crew comes home, they can elaborate on the activities of the night!!!
